What car did you learn to drive in?

A,micra

A 12 year old Nissan Micra, bought and done up specially for me. I loved it - no power steering so it felt like I was driving a tank.. cassette player (so I spent hours recording my CDs onto)..

I had 10 top-up lessons with an instructor before the actual test and it felt like I was driving a go-Kart.

A Triumph Toledo - a very long time ago.

Peugeot 206 - instructor car, Vauxhall Astra - mum’s car (1999).

A metro.

VW Beetle - original type

Driving instead a Micra. Mum had a Ford Fiesta.

Nissan Micra

No longer exists, a Citroen LNA 11E. Awful small car from the 80s.

Me too! Late 80s early 90s... All the instructors seemed to have corsas or little tanks as they called them. Solid and heavy, every car after had such a light touch by comparison!!

I begun my lessons in an old classic mini but moved on to a mini metro and passed in that.

Nissan Micra as well. 1994

Our own car was a Hillman Avenger. I passed my test in 1981.

My instructor had a Polo.
My first car was an Austin Maxi. It was like a tank, 1750 engine, no power steering, clothes peg to keep the choke out (remember those?!).
I loved it.

A mini - the old sort (in the 70s).

A metro. It had a radio/cassette, a choke, 3 doors, manual windows etc. obviously no air conditioning, central locking etc! Cars have come a long way.

Several. A Morris Marina, an Austin Maxi and an Austin Allegro.

A MK 1 Ford Fiesta. Well, it was the 80's.

It was an early 1990s Honda. Maybe a Civic.
