They have edited a negative review of a campsite we recently stayed at have painted it in a positive light.

I am fuming, we only went on the strengths of of the other reviews on there.

I will never believe another word I read on there and I am upset as after MN it was my favourite site.

Just seen this thread and am appalled at UKCampsite.
Negative reviews are good - sometimes I will pick a campsite based on its negative review.
e.g. Blasted kids woke us up at 6am every morning. When we were just having a few drinks after 10pm we were told to keep quiet or leave immediately - Then they picked on us constantly for the rest of our stay.

I would stay at that site.

We have posted 4 reviews on UKCampsite and the first 3 were positive and the last was mostly negative and it was not edited.

That really is not on if they are editing some reviews as I use it a lot.

Think I will have to post iour reviews on here as well.

I posted a mixed review last year and it was never published at all!

Hmmm makes me very nervous now about our 1st camping trip next weekend. Where do I go to read your reviews on MN? Hoping there will be one for the place we are going to - Thriftwood in Kent.

I have posted two reviews on ukcampsite.

One was positive, one was negative. Neither were edited

Hi MyMama

We stayed at Thriftwood a few weeks ago. The seasoned campers we went with said it was rather disorganised with regard to pitches etc. but we had a lovely time. The pool is great, the bar is small and on a Saturday night with a live band (well, one bloke and a guitar!) wasn't too noisy. It seemed clean enough to me and I'd happily go again.

HTH

Lu
