Just wondering i know there was a thread on this ages ago.

Just wondering if any one else had booked to go.

Will be my first festival - just hoping the weather improves.

Ooh me. DH's wine brand will have a stall there - look out for Barefoot Wine! Me and the kids are tagging along and we're trying out our camping gear before BIL's wedding at a campsite the following weekend.

Batteryhuman · 03/06/2010 20:11

6pm at the Pimms Bus it is. i am not sure I am brave enough to walk up to someone and say "Oi are you StripeyKnickers or Dastardly?"

DastardlyandSmugly · 03/06/2010 20:20

Aha I can't make Pimms bus tomorrow as we're not getting there until Sat. Will probably be somewhere around Barefoot on Sat though with DS and DD.

Katz · 03/06/2010 20:34

i've got everything reaady to pack not sure it'll fit

wwill look out for the pimms bus at 6pm, i'll be the one with 2 girls

Barefoot wine sounds right up my street!

Not sure if we'll make the Pimms tent as we may still be squashing stuff into the car, looking at the size of the current pile by the front door.

Will look out for you though.

shockers · 03/06/2010 20:45

I will drop by to get wine say hello dastardly .

I'm just wondering (as I always do) why camping stuff for two people for 3 days will scarcely fit in the back of a cavernous Volvo estate.

Katz · 03/06/2010 20:50

we have so much stuff to pack really don't think it'll fit in the car

OP posts:
KnottyLocks · 03/06/2010 20:54

Agree Katz...the wine box is going in first. Even minimal packing looks excessive. May have to leave DH behind.

Katz · 03/06/2010 21:07

dh has beer to pack but think the tent may have to come first!

DastardlyandSmugly · 03/06/2010 21:23

We will be there or there abouts. Profile has pics if you want to see what we look like!

stripeyknickersspottysocks · 03/06/2010 22:15

I'll make DD wear her wizard's hat to the Pimm's bus - you won't miss us with her wearing that.

MelonCauli · 03/06/2010 22:24

We're going as well. Me, DH, DS (9) and DD (7). We're in a caravan so not sure which part of the camping we'll be in. Are you all going in the family area?

shockers · 03/06/2010 22:39

Have you been before Melon? This is my first time at Wychwood but I have been to Womad for the last few years. The caravan area there is separate.

Do you fancy meeting up around 6ish at the Pimms bus?

MelonCauli · 03/06/2010 22:44

Yes, 6pm at the Pimms bus sounds good. We haven't been to Wychwood before, just a few local festivals. DH thinks we are building up to Glastonbury!

I've read that the caravan can go in with the tents, but I'm not that bothered where we end up. We'll be getting there sometime after lunch I hope.

Katz · 04/06/2010 07:19

We're tent campng and aiming for the family area. Will try for pimms place at 6.

I'm very excited

DastardlyandSmugly · 04/06/2010 08:50

We're in the staff area I think but will hopefully bump into some of you on Sat when we arrive.

rastababi · 04/06/2010 15:00

We're going, very excited DD's can't wait.

Dollytwat · 04/06/2010 15:38

I'm there on Saturday if anyone wants to meet up. I'll be there on my own in the evening too, so would love to meet up at about 6 or 7ish by the Pimms tent

anyone?

stripeyknickersspottysocks · 06/06/2010 17:33

Where was everyone? I was at the Pimms bus at 6 by myself like a right Billy no mates!

stripeyknickersspottysocks · 06/06/2010 19:09

Can anyone remember the name of the mosaic lady? Her first name was Angie and she was from Devizes. She gave me a business card with her company name on and I've lost it!

Katz · 06/06/2010 22:37

Sorry we got weigh-laid, had an amazing time loved the South tonight. Have 2 very tired little girls who want to go again ne t year!

DD's made some really good friends and loved the man who sang about socks and tshirts!

Loved the barefoot wine inflateables.

Just wondering if it was a mumsnetter we gave our extra glowsticks to?

OP posts:
Dollytwat · 06/06/2010 22:55

I was only there for the Sat but brilliant day and night, I did wonder if the lady in front of me with 2 DC and green nail varnish was a MN'er. I bumped into some friends so was only BillyNo Mates for a couple of hours.

Waitrose cocktails were fab!

Katz · 07/06/2010 09:52

Waitrose cocktails most defineatly were yum! I'd have never thought of combining gin and apple juice to make a very yummy cocktail

OP posts:
DastardlyandSmugly · 07/06/2010 09:55

We had a brilliant time too. DS loved the big slide, beating daddy on the gladiators style jousting game and meeting Mr Tumble.

The Barefoot inflatables went down well didn't they? We spent a lot of time at the Barefoot tent with the guys who work there for DH on Sat. Wondered if anyone would come up and ask me if I was Dastardly but no-one did!

Lots more festivals to come. We won't be going along to all of the ones Barefoot are doing but we'll go to some of the others.

Batteryhuman · 07/06/2010 15:37

I was outside the Pimms bus and stood around for a bit but chickened out of walking up to random strangers and asking if they are on Mumsnet. Next time we'll have to wear a badge or flower or something.

Had a fabulous weekend and on the DSs urging have bought tickets for next year. DS3 made loads of friends doing diablo and spinning plates in the circus skills bit. If anyone was at the comedy on saturday night he was the one questioned about the number of units of alcohol his mum had consumed and what was the worst swearword he knew. The shame....

I darank ever such a lot of barefoot rose Dastardly!
