AQ we got our sleeping bag liners here

About half way down the page. Wondering about the Vango pillow ourselves, but don't know if cheap pillows from Asda or Ikea might do just as well. Oh I hate making such important decisions!

Will do calpopscalum! Am taking note of all your lists/suggestions as I'm a first timer! Like the tea bag and cereal suggestion!

We're going with my bf and his 3 dds (they've been before but my dds and I haven't) so we have 5 girls and us two adults to get into a Toyota Previa (hopefully with roof box or we're stuffed!!) so we must travel light!! I'm not too bad at it but MUST restrict the number of t-shirts etc as I always take too many and we never wear half of it!

But calpopscalum what does a 'towel ro amt fro the front door' mean exactly???!!

Listmaker · 11/07/2005 11:42

That Tesco thing sounds great but I shop at Sainsburys !

fishfinger - we're going in a 3 bed mobile home with Venue Holidays so I'll let you know what that's like.

littlemissbossy - one big down side of booking independently is the lack of instructions to get there. could i be really cheeky and ask you if we could 'share' yours?
i will CAT you or you can email me
[email protected]
btw - i will be the northerner who will be trying to do very little (if any) washing but failing miserably

lillibet - do you have any recommendations for anyhting? particularly...attractions, restaurants and the direction of the nearest decent supermarket. thanks

AuntyQuated · 15/07/2005 10:26

.

AuntyQuated · 26/07/2005 11:25

OK..i'm on 3 day count down...

we are leaving early on friday morning. kids are very excited now

Tortington · 26/07/2005 11:53

t towel
washing up liquid - only half a bottle and a scrubber
check oil and water in car - if your taking a car - tyre pressure and windscreen water.
floaty thing in the pool that you can buy here for £1.50 and there its costs a fiver
have a good hol

AuntyQuated · 26/07/2005 13:27

thanks custardo...had forgotten tea towels

happymerryberries · 26/07/2005 13:40

Flannel and or sponge for each child.....and a wash bag each (or at least one for the girls one for the boys). That way dh can take some and you ana take some and the older ones can go to the show block on their own!

Torches.....useful at night and the kids love them.

Oh those little glow in the dark thingies that glow when you crack them. My kids love these.

happymerryberries · 26/07/2005 15:45

Pound shops do them. You can get 15 for a quid. they don't last that long, but the kids enjoy them

happymerryberries · 26/07/2005 15:47

like these

I'm pleased you had a good time. I was wondering about the weather did a search the other day and noticed the rain forecast - I'll pack the raincoats then. My friend's dad lives in Cognac and he loves to visit Royan beach. Do you know what age the children can go on the waterslides? my ds is desperate to go on them he is nearly 5. Directions would be useful thanks. I guess you are doing the dreaded washing now - or did you make use of the washing machines at Royan?

yeah but to do without/buy some here has saved us 600 quid (am supposed to be finding route home avoiding paris!)

lilibet · 08/08/2005 19:53

Am soo jealous AuntyQ

Will see you next week at the lakes meet up to hear all about it

littlemissbossy · 14/08/2005 16:18

AuntyQuated - hope you enjoyed the site, we did but thought the surrounding area was a bit boring... you'd have noticed me - I'm always showing someone how to use the washing machines -I'm not helpful, just need to be in control
BTW you're right in that my family know I'm a mumsnet addict but don't know my chat name, although I'm sure it wouldn't take them long to work it out.
If you book direct, who do you book with? we might do that next year

myalias · 03/09/2005 09:19

Hi Cod just got back from Bonne Anse had a great time. I'm glad I packed the raincoats weather was awful first week we nearly came back home!! luckily the last few days was very hot. We went to Royan beach a couple of times which was very nice. Hired cycles and went to the lighthouse chickened out of climbing up it. The children loved the waterslides and admittedly so did I - wasn't too keen on the green one it felt like a death trap. They enjoyed the climbing wall and trampolines. The nearby beach was great went bodyboarding and was knocked over by a huge wave tumbled right over and thought I'd broken my arm - that will teach me!!
