I'm off to nodes too in august, went to thorness last year!

Millarkie · 12/05/2007 15:43

Just got the guardian supplement about camping - it mentions both Tom's fields - they are Dorset and Hampshire.

slayerette · 12/05/2007 17:21

New Forest booked for mid July; browsing through Guardian guide for other ideas. Our 'drop-in, no need to book' site is in Wales, north of Barmouth - a farm with camping fields and a footpath to the sea. Gorgeous!

twinsetandpearls · 12/05/2007 17:27

we will go to the NT great landale

Lucycat · 12/05/2007 18:32

slayerette - what is the name of your site near Barmouth?

or is it a closely guarded secret?

AnnaPhylactic · 12/05/2007 19:22

Eweleaze in August

Chirpygirl · 12/05/2007 19:29

We are off to the gower for bank holiday weekend with my SIL, her dp and their boys.
It is a trial run for us as our first trip with DD who will be 16 months, and we are being really pathetic as we live 20 mins from the campsite!

brandnewhelsy · 12/05/2007 21:13

Cornwall in July, maybe a week in France in June and some (not yet booked) weekends all over the place.

slayerette · 13/05/2007 11:50

Sorry Lucycat - had to go and do RL things . No, am determined not to be precious about my campsite - it's called Rowen Farm in a little village called Dyffryn Ardudwy on the road from Barmouth to Harlech. It has several fields for tents, a useful shop and basic loos/showers - tokens for the showers and take your own loo roll! You can walk through the farm, over the sand dunes and onto huge sandy beaches stretching as far as you can see in each direction. Inland you have a backdrop of mountains...I've been going there since I can remember.

PeachyChocolateEClair · 13/05/2007 19:41
