saw one of these eleract in all its wonderfullness today Outwell vermont

IMHO even better than the Monty.

I also saw a Bear Lake and girls, it was luuuuurrrvvveee at first sight. I know canvas tents are a PITA, but this baby rocks. The most beautiful canvas tent I have ever laid eyes on.

I almost wept in leaving without it. I still hear it calling 'Buy me, buy me!'

I've been out today looking at lovely New Forest campsites to go to next weekend as a surprise for dh and dd and ds. How much fun I think we are going to go to a really beautiful one where we camp in the woods!! My Dad is going to help me pitch the tent etc while dh is at work and the kids are at school and then i will pick them up and say we are going on a surprise trip. I am soooo excited

Blandmum · 26/04/2007 19:05

Martian, you're a perve, you know.

Blandmum · 26/04/2007 19:08

I know

It was so fine though. So strong, yet somehow, vulnerable, and in need of my tender loving care........

TheWoman · 26/04/2007 19:08

It's beauteous!

motherinferior · 26/04/2007 19:08

I bet you touched it. Without asking first. And probably slavered.

Hillls · 26/04/2007 19:09

Oh lovely!! Although I'm into 5* accommodation these days cant rough it anymore I love our camping shop, they have all these tents up on display theres a georgeous one I think it sleeps 6 and has the sitting area etc in it, it bigger than some flats and its only £170!!!! Bargain!!

Blandmum · 26/04/2007 19:10

I rubbed its poles.

I'm so ashamed

I run my hands over its lumenous guy ropes feeling them yeald to my passion. I entered its inner sanctum, sofly caressing the no seeum mesh....

.....sorry had to stop there and grab a cold shower!

It's still only 6 berth though...way too much excess space. I shall stick with my just-exactly-the-right-size Monty, ta very much

have to say the georgia struck me as a damn fine tent!

Prefer tunnel to dome myself, but that is just personal taste.

The Bear Lake is just such a fine tend, and you know it would last you for eons, if you could only get the bloody thing dry enough at the end of a trip!

Do you have the 2 bedroom or the three bedroom version???

Looked fantastic I must say Very

Oh FFS!!! Purleeeaase!

I went to a BBQ with some tenty friends on Saturday and they spent the whole time talking about some Outwell thing..... I simply don't understand. Tents are vehicles for getting cold and damp or hot and clammy and getting a bad back. It don't matter what they are called .....

However if it pleases you...

Blandmum · 26/04/2007 19:26

Orm, you are not strong in the Force. You so not understand the way of the SIG.

OP posts:
OrmIrian · 26/04/2007 19:27

Most probably not. Should I be??

Blandmum · 26/04/2007 19:28

slip me a fiver, and I can instruct you

Our friends just bought a lovely outwell tent soo not fair, just shouldnt be allowed when we are tentless at the minute!!!

DrMarthaMcMoo · 26/04/2007 19:30

Run away, OrmIrian - before she tries to get you to fondle her poles.

PandaG · 26/04/2007 19:32

Is Outwell Georgia the new Outwell Hartford? Looks like our Hartford to me - we love it, we've got the XXL, so 4 pods, the living section is huge

Like the one you linked to MB, but I like the pods, DC are now a bit older, and I like the fact they are not just the other side of the nylon !

TBH, I've got one of the old Outwell Colorados.

I love the vis a vis design, with the kids in two 'rooms' on one side, with me and dh on the other. They don't have that layout now in any of their tents, except the Montant 12 with is too big. They seem to be doing mostly 6 or 12 berths, and I like one big room and two small ones, one for ds and one for dd.....as they get older they also like a bit of privacy.

The Georgia is a fantastic tent but you can't stand in all parts of the bedrooms, and I get a tad claustrophobic (daft I know!)
