Have a fab, fab time and make sure I see a thread about how fab it was when you get back, x

AitchTwoOh · 11/04/2007 21:06

oh well done aimsmum, i am bookmarking this thread. all i need now is a tent.

and teecee, i had the Most Unbelievable nipple pain when i was pregnant. i actually cried. they went erect and it was like someone was holding a lighter underneath them. turns out it's a bit like reynaud's syndrome, apparently some people get a wee flash of it in the tits while pg. just thought you'd like to know.

TeeCee · 11/04/2007 21:18

Aitch, but I asked around the next day (!) and lots of other girlies had experienced painful nip syndrome, aka tent nip!

TeeCee · 11/04/2007 21:21

Aitch - I'm tent obsessed. HAve 2 now and on the look out for a third, bigger and better. Gold thread guy ropes would be nice.

oh, oh oh, nearly forgot - essential camping equipment - a disco glitter ball to hang from centre of tent! Or maybe that's just a festi thing! My mates took sheepskin rugs and a wooden coffee tables and a glitter ball!

AitchTwoOh · 11/04/2007 21:25

just pregnant women, or campers? or was it a special sub-section of the MN venn diagram, the Pregnant Campers?

TeeCee · 11/04/2007 21:29

LOL! nO just campers, I was the only pregnant nutter there!

BarefootDancer · 11/04/2007 21:40

t-towel.

PeachyChocolateEClair · 11/04/2007 23:19

If you pop a blanket on the floor of the sleepinga rea, under their airbeds or whatever they have, keeps the room MUCH warmer!

We're getting a carpet for our new Khyam LOL

yep, anything really that breaks the link between floor and bed seems to work- I know poeple who use newspaper, its just the insulation thats key!

fleece might be better, offer more insulation?

I hope you have a great time, and get some decent weather, good luck

my dd (5.5) gets car sick, i only allow her to have water in the car, plus ginger snaps if it is a long and winding road....

we find making her sing and regular blasts of cold air help, playing silly games

custy · 11/04/2007 23:45

if you dont pack that t-towel you will look a proper twonk drying dished with a bath towel.

mmm can't answer that, being a novice is fun and frustrating, putting the tent up usually is a laugh, as long as it isn't raining

I have camped all my life, family holidays were usually in a tent, i don't think people check out what you have brought, they might check out your tent, but I don't think it is in a negative way, i would like open doors day at campsites, so I can check out what others do, out of nosiness but for ideas too...

I always forget how thin the tent is once inside, you can hear every convo

ipanemagirl · 12/04/2007 00:01
