yeah i get you fox . I've got the lid off now and really its spot on for a few days but not any longer. Could actually see myself with 2 - one for foodstuff and one for drinks!

Iammelting · 16/07/2014 21:48

Thank you for the code - my lovely red 40 l arrived today ... it is HUGE Shock I have no idea where I'm going to store it now ... but it's lovely & red & shiny ... & there's a teeny tiny mark (looks like a burn) on the top which makes me Sad

greencybermummy · 16/07/2014 22:06

Yes fruityflapjack I reckon 25l for weekend family of 3 would be more than adequate.

DreamingAlice · 18/07/2014 14:26

So I reckoned the email with the free delivery code from Mumsnet was a sign from the gods that I should just go ahead and order my Icey Tek. Even though (ahem) I actually don't need one since for various reasons it looks like we are going to be using DH's big ugly motorhome for most of the holiday rather than my Bell Tent of Beauty. . Never mind, we do park off grid sometimes and I will still bring it so it will be bright spark of loveliness for me to enjoy. And then NEXT summer or whenever we are fully converted over to the Bell, the Icey Tek will be there waiting.

Anyway just to say when I put my payment through, the code was accepted (I used the MN one) but then the confirmation invoice via email added the delivery back on. I rang up the very sweet Julia and she is going to sort that for me- I am just mentioning in case anyone orders, check your email receipt. Poor Julia, she is run off her feet thanks to us lot. Grin

Does anyone have a free delivery code please? Thanks

PuggyMum · 25/07/2014 21:47

Can I have the code please. I've wanted an Iceytek for so long. My justification is I'm taking my godson and his friend to v festival. There'll be a party of 6 requiring bacon sarnies from Friday - Monday!

PuggyMum · 25/07/2014 22:21

Oops just rtft and seen the code! Now I'm also wondering if a 40l will be too big. But then we're planning a proper camping holiday to Cornwall next year and will be mostly loitering within tent of an evening....

LostInWales · 25/07/2014 22:30

Every time I see this thread go by I mean to post this picture. A field full of Mumsnet Icey-Teks in all their glory Grin Bottom three are 40L and the others 25L.

Does anyone know where I can buy a spare bung though? I took mine out to clean it last week and now I can't find it Blush.

Mines a 40L PuggyMum, it's big but we do long camping trips in Europe and we've managed to keep all our wine butter and meats cold and perfect even until we got home, must have saved a fortune in thrown away perishables when it was 40 degrees one holiday.

attheendoftheday · 25/07/2014 22:55

LostInWales this page says you can order replacement bungs free of charge.

LostInWales · 25/07/2014 23:09

Brilliant! Thank you.

PuggyMum · 25/07/2014 23:15

I think I can just about justify a 40l. As dd grows we'll be camping more. I really want a caravan but dh refuses. I've just wasted an hour looking at bell tents.

I've come across the camp in my garden website today. I can see this being the future once dd is at school!

LostInWales · 25/07/2014 23:44

I have a bell tent too, it is not only a thing of beauty, it pitches in minutes as well. Camping is just the best thing in the world.

LostInWales · 25/07/2014 23:45

We have a Quechua 4.2 pop up for our away camping though, the bell doesn't exactly pack down small!

Bodeccia · 01/08/2014 12:59

Hi

Could I have the code too please? It's the first of the month, and I'm doing my kit-build for next year's camping - hurrah!

TIA

They are really brilliant at the Icey-Tek UK supplyers, I ordered some new cool blocks to go inside using the MN code, put in the comments box 'please may I have some new bungs as I lost one'. Within two days I had my cool blocks but no bungs so I emailed a tentative query. I had a reply within an hour, they didn't have nice white bungs to hand and as I had an orange one she didn't think the ones they had in would go so sent me out two in a seperate mailing as soon as they came in. Now THAT'S customer service. Lovely people.

PuggyMum · 06/08/2014 13:11

Oh my goodness.

I was going to secretly order a 40l and tell dh there was a super discount via mn. Knowing he'd never check! He knew about icey tek and the cost as I have a flyer from somewhere....

I decided honesty was the best policy and dh took over and decided we needed a 55l and also asked if I wanted a seat cushion (I can make one of these!).

So ordered a purple one and 2 ice packs.

Roll on cold beer and wine at v festival next week!

Eek!

UterusUterusGhali · 07/08/2014 06:30

I really prefer the look of the long boxes. It's going to be too much for me & three kids, isn't it? Confused

I've got a pretty big car, but I just don't camp enough.

ChillyChillyIcebat · 07/08/2014 15:31

Does anyone have a spare free delivery code they could share please?

thanks. :)

PuggyMum · 08/08/2014 00:21

It's mumsnet2014

PuggyMum · 08/08/2014 00:22

Although only valid until today!

ChillyChillyIcebat · 08/08/2014 07:58

Thank you PuggyMum, much appreciated.

MrsChickPea · 08/08/2014 08:18

We've got the 55l in green. Had it a few years. We love it! 3 ice packs and once we've unpacked stuff in self catering fridge, the ice packs keep the drinks (that won't fit in the fridge) cold for quite a few days. Well worth the money - though amazingly heavy when full!
