Finally succumbed & plan on buying one Grin. Does anyone have a free delivery code? TIA.

I freeze almost everything that goes in. Even the milk. Not the gin in tins or wine. I make up meal packs too all in their own sealed plastic bags - eg one meal's worth of potato waffles and quorn for brekkie, etc. then I don't have to dig stuff out and leave the tekster open for longer than necessary.

Slubber spent some time in hot forrin and actually emptied a load of ice cubes in the tekster too, ending up with the frozen stuff surrounded in ice water. She was very happy with its cool keeping abilities.

I also cover the tekster during the day with a sleeping bag, particularly if it is super hot outside. Helps keep things cool. This was down South in the heatwave last year and we were boiling, even with the sides of the bell rolled up.

Happy camping sigh.

Thanks for the code; I've just ordered a 25l one.

Aargghh was going to order 40l in red first thing tomorrow. I was so sure....so certain... Then the doubts crept in....maybe I only need the 25 after all? This is ridiculous! Actual sleep loss over a cool box :S

Does anyone know if this code has an expiry date? I need to obsess carefully consider sizes for a bit longer.

There's no use by date on it AFAIK audrey. I'm also fairly sure we are all bandying the same code around between us :o

I succumbed in buying a bell tent and now it seems I must also have an Icey Tek for all my icey needs. The jury is out on size and colour but I will figure it out eventually.

If someone can PM me the code as well, I would be most grateful! Thanks.

Well, my cooler arrived so quickly. I paid by phone on Monday and it arrived on Tuesday - what amazing service. I am pleased I only bought the 25l, as it is quite large and I'd struggle to find room in the car.

The leaflet supplied has the free code on it and it does say, ' Here's a free UK postage code to pass on to your Friends'. So, if anyone else wants the code, please ask.

We are going camping next weekend and I can't wait to put it to the test. Grin

Please could someone send me the code? Just debating 25l or 40l, difficult decisions! Any advice for family of 4?

I would be grateful for the free delivery code if there are any spares. Thanks in advance - the thread has been really helpful for deciding which one ( though still wavering between 25l and 40l - it will be red though!)

Could someone PM me the code please? And if anyone has any ideas on 25l or 40l for a family of 5 I'd love to know.

I have PM'd you pootle :)
Re- size (!)
I have a 55l which is absurdly large and for all but our "big" holiday, unnecessary. If I was you I would go for a 40l as a family of 5 as I suspect 25l would just be too small (though eminently more transportable!)
On the site there is a table of specifications so you can actually measure out how big the box will be in the flesh and whether you will need to buy a new car to fit it in There's also photos of representative contents which might help you make up your mind :)

Torn and conflicted. The Ds's school uniform is going to cost me £300. Part of me is going "ah fuck it SPEND more and buy a yellow one"

Part of me is also going "£300??? And you want to buy a bloody coloured box? buy a farking cool bag from sainsburys and chill."

No part is winning just yet

I wasn't going to do it this year but taking two cool boxes will be about the same as taking one 40l icey tec and it'll keep stuff cooler and DH will thank me when he gets a chilled gin from a tin, maybe with ice... Can someone pm me the code please!
Btw, a little gin tip. I freeze slices of lemon and lime so they flavour AND cool the gin.

Can I have a code please - I already have my tangerine long box, but I need some decent ice blocks! To be fair I am thinking of selling her and buying a smaller one as it is HUGE!

How long from ordering does the icey tek take to arrive?

Could I also please come out of lurking on this thread to ask for a code too, if possible?

Woke this morning on day 2 of our first trip of the summer and our milk is warm to I think we need something more -pretty- effective

Thanks in advance :)

(Also if I order this weekend/Monday should it arrive by Thursday for our next trip?)
