so I am fed up with the rest of MN (this whole mamazon shite really is the ,last straw), so I am assuming that if any of you are trolling you are showing extraordinary persistence by delving into the thrills of iceytec and are worth chatting to.

So anyway, hi, I am SeaShells, I have 2 dc and have been camping and trapsing through the Great Outdoors all my life. I hang out here as my love of camping is more a love of the countryside and life, and you lot have a similar outlook.

Oh dear. Has he got the pox, lost? Sad

Ha, I just looked for a decathlon store near to me and there isn't one in all of Wales. I'll have to wait until we are on holiday.

I'll stroke your iceytek glitter, I'm not proud and they say size doesn't matter...

I won't be able to, I am moving to England that weekend. I would do a grin, but this bloody thing doesn't seem to have any square brackets.
When we lived in Oman, we would just pitch up on a pristine beach on a Wednesdsay evening and watch the sun go down.
Happy days

He has hand foot and mouth disease glitter, incredibly contagious apparently. Although it doesn't seem to have slowed the bastard child him down at all. God I would kill for a Wine sitting looking at the sea right now.

Oh thats hard, my friends DS had that and felt quite awful.

I'm in a horrible hot sweaty office and I havent done any work which means I'll have to work tonight or look useless. And no wine.

Oh poor you have a virtual Wine to tide you over, does the Thames look nice? We were in Windsor in April and our hotel was by the Thames and it was beautiful.

dd and I put up our pop up quecua for the first time yesterday. 10 minutes to pitch. 30 minutes of wrestling to get it back down. going to have another go tomorrow. Determined not to look silly when we go camping in a couple of weeks.

glitter, I can't completely promise yet (will need to check plans with dh in case he's committed to something else), but I think we'd be able to do first weekend in August. I'm still trying to convince him to go to Just So festival on the 19th, but it's such a trek that I've had no luck so far. Will try breakfast in bed trick this weekend, but since I haven't done it in the 7 years that we've been married, I fear the shock might finish him off.

lostinwales, poor thing, sounds awful for you.

How exciting, OYBK. You know the cock-and-balls trick, right? Mind you, I know, have seen the video, and still can't do it. Dh in charge of packing it up.

Oh, oh, oh, I forgot, I meant to tell you lot emoticon when I got back: Where we camped last weekend, one of the campers had a Porche. Their other car there was a 4x4 (suspect family arrived first). Shock I was willing to hate them, of course, but unfortunately they were lovely when bumping into each other when packing up. So, in summary, I am jealous

Pointless post of the day, I know.

Ha MisSal I'm glad someone else calls it the cock and balls fold, I thought it was just my family's pervy little minds. We were with friends who all had camper vans last weekend and DH and I felt quite smug when we folded our living accommodation up and put it in a bag. Aren't they the best tents ever!

Any Brew going?

Hope you've all had a good day and stayed away from the nutter threads like good campers. The children have been farmed out and I've been looking for a campsite in south Shropshire for August.

Sorry to hear about the pox lost Sad.

Perhaps try 'pop-up cock and balls' Funtime?

Just checking in before I go and do our dinner and crack open the first of many cold beers.
I am almost thinking my self into buying the tent in Decathlon. Anyone know if they have a sale of tents. Currently there is an up to 70% sale in Antwerp, but the are getting rid of ski stuff. Knowing my luck, the camping gear will be in January.
not quite in keeping with the theme I know.

Hi swanker- I was thinking long meadows in new forest, purely for selfish reasons as dd2 is 8mths and I don't want to travel hours. I know they have availability on aug 20th as I'm thinking of going with friends of mine, so we may be lucky with the 5-7th aug

Hmm, lost, it's not necessarily saying anything good if our minds are in sync... Wink Love those. We use ours as kitchen / utility tent - especially useful when camping with another family, as gives us somewhere to put chairs etc overnight in case of rain etc. I've even considered buying one of the ones with bedroom bits (we've got Base Full only) when doing overnight camping in dodgy weather (pain to dry canvas out, we've always been lucky / aborted plans when raining as can do without tent in sitting room!)

Fun, hold on, I'll try and find link without scarring you for life.

Please could someone explain in suitable pre-water shed words and no pictures involving elephants, skin tucking or games between consenting adults Confused?

Ok, video. Skip to 2mins. I'll try and find another one in a sec.

PS: Don't click on any links saying vibrating. Unless in a bad storm, when you shouldn't be camping anyway, no vibrating should take place. Wink
