Hi all

So today I downloaded mpf & well I need ur help & loads of buddies on there. So please add me if u use it. I'm going to logging my daily intakes. Goal is to stay under 1600 cals which I can manage. My TDEE is 2119 (someone kindly worked it out for me on the 5:2 thread). I'm trying to follow the 5:2 although have been falling of the wagon so to speak. Hoping MFP logging will help with this.

Hi I'm starting again to use MFP but this time I'm going to add friends and hope to stick to it.

I want to lose 2st (2 1/2 would be even better) to get me down to around the 10st mark.

Hi everyone, I'm an old timer on MFP 500+days logging. been on site two years ish.
lost 50lb using it but hit year long plateu. Angry gained back about 10lbs Angry Blush
Doing research study for work which is shifting some of what I gained will be switching to 5:2 at end of study - 8wks to go.
Welcome more friends or ask any questions re the site. I also use android app & fitbit one.

Dum: have you checked how much eating on NFD's? you still need deficit.
Biggest thing for me was portion sizes. I would put out my plate as I planned. Then weigh how much I had esp of carbs. overestimated a portion on lots of stuff esp potatoes & rice, have retrained myself so now much better at eyeballing a portion which is great for when your out and about. But still drag scales out to recheck every so often.

tiger that is amazing logging for so long Shock well done u. I hope I can follow suit!!! I need to invest in scales I think Hmm though I have been quite good with portion sizes.

Hi - I am joining MFP and need some motivation !!! My daughter is 18 months and still havent lost the weight. I have just over stone to lose by mid may. I've been healthy eating for six weeks and only lost 2 pounds !! So I figure I need to calorie count. I will add you as buddies if that ok x

Thanks to those that have accepted my friends request! Just sent a load more to people on this thread. I've just taken my measurements and I've lost an inch off my hips Smile think I'm going to go over my allowance today! but I should still be under my weekly allowance, so think that's sort of ok!

That's a good point.

definitely take a tape measure and make notes I stpred mine in excel file
Especially if you don't have a lot to loose.
the last stone is very hard to loose, there maybe weeks when you don't record a loss.
That's a good time to drag out measure and check. I had at least a couple of weeks were 0 lost but 1-2inches off waist n hips...
Important thing is don't give up.

Feeling much more motivated this morning, help to have mfp friends for definite. Getting over my horrible cough/cold/sore throat I had all last week now. Hopefully back to the gym later this week. Able to do the nursery run walking again now as opposed to using the car last week as I felt so rubbish!!

Hi, I have joined mfp too! I have a 22 month old, and I didn't put in weight in my pregnancy fur to horrendous morning (all day!!) sickness, but once he was born and i could eat again, I did, with aplomb!! Now I need to lose 1 and a half stone before ttc in April again! It's amazing what I have eaten extra today already that I would usually 'forget' about! Even though its healthy, fruit etc it still adds up!! My problem is not that I eat badly, because I don't, it'd definitely just picking all day, and portion sizes! Any way any friends would be great!

am a bit of a rubbish MFP friend because I can't be bothered to go Ra-Ra well done for not eating enough every time someone gets through a day on barely any calories but that said I am quite supportive when in the right mood so please add me, anyone who is desperate enough - mitchyinge - my diary is open I think
