Hi all

So today I downloaded mpf & well I need ur help & loads of buddies on there. So please add me if u use it. I'm going to logging my daily intakes. Goal is to stay under 1600 cals which I can manage. My TDEE is 2119 (someone kindly worked it out for me on the 5:2 thread). I'm trying to follow the 5:2 although have been falling of the wagon so to speak. Hoping MFP logging will help with this.

Thanks to all that will add me. Username is the same : Dumdum32

You'll like me then, I eat bloomin loads and can't help viewing my daily number of calories as a target. More's the pity. You might get some comedy value of watching me squeeze every last available calorie out of every day!

Tropicalchancer - I have the same goal. Would get me to wedding-day-10-yrs-ago weight. What's your name on there?

Good luck everyone starting out. I've been there a while and if you can stick to it it does help.
Don't rush to change too many things at once, they reckon you have to do something for 30 days before it becomes a habit.
When I started all I did for first 4 weeks is log EVERYTHING. try and be really honest with yourself, its not wrong if you ate it, you just need to be willing to accept it. After my first four weeks I worked out my average daily cals and where I drifted the most, then tried to find ways to change it.
Portion sizes for me was the biggest thing, I started weighing out any carbs so I knew excatly how much I was eating, I am much better at estimating a portion by sight alone now, but I still will on occasions sling it on the scales to double check so my "normal" does not creep up.

If you stick to it, drink plenty of water and do not go to low on cals it is remarkably easy to loose the weight, just remember it did not go on overnight, it will not come off overnight and the less you have to loose the longer and slower it will be.
