I need to lose a couple of stone and though t if I start now I might have lost half a stone by Christmas - in time for Christmas parties and stuff. I lost three Stone in the last couple of years but have put one back on moving in with dp and getting too comfortable! Basically I'm intending to do myfitnesspal and the shred dvd along with trying to walk more. It worked for me before! So if anyone else is planning to start or have started then how about a moral support thread? :) I'm starting at 12.5 stone and a dress size 14... Would like to get to 10 stone and a size 10-12.

Yes. I'll join you. I've been needing to lose about 3 stone since DD was born, and although I've lost 1.5 stone I put it back on easily and have done just that over the last few weeks (we just got married).

I'll aim for half a stone before Christmas too. I'll also use My Fitness Pal but will probably also hit the gym instead if Shredding. I might (crazy ass fool) look into Insanity as some friends are raving about it!

I'd like to join you. Trouble is, I'm still recovering from a broken leg so I'm a bit limited as to what exercise I can do. But I'm inflating by the minute, so something needs to be done. 2 stone at least.
All ideas welcome.

I would love to join you but I am scared of failing again. I currently weigh 10.6 and want to lose 2stone ideally (am only 5'1". Will be trying to calorie count and up exercise as much as possible. Please can I join in? I have been losing and regaining the same 5lb forever it feels like!

im 5ft 2 and a hefty 13st 12 Shock and a size 16 .
would love to be a size 10 but more realistically a 12 and about 10 1/2 stone, however that seems a loooong way off so will start at aiming to lose 10lb Grin
going to be calorie counting from tomorrow, how many calories do you aim for ? also have a treadmill so will hopefully be using it, im at work mon, tues, then a night shift wed, day shift fri. so wont be tempted to eat loads Blush

LongWords that is EXACTLY the same as me. I'm currently 11.10 and want to get to 10.0, but I'm having real trouble sticking to anything. Have lost 1.5 stone over the last 5 months, but I've got stuck and as a result, have no motivation.

Would love to join this thread!

PS I've eaten like a pig this weekend... back on the wagon tomorrow!

I'll join too. Need to shift half a stone (at least!). Dh just says I need to tone up, but I think it's a little more than that!

Me ! Day one starts tomorrow .... Nothing drastic as bf still but healthy eating as scoffing choc cakes and sweets daily !

Awesome welcome everyone :) I thought I might have been on my own with this crazy plan! I think a weekly weigh in is a great idea. I'll be weighingmyself in the morning and I'll be aiming for 1400 calories per day. Lady time I did this I measured my waist, hips, thighs and bust fortnightly and recorded them? It's really interesting and an extra boost to the self confidence to see my waist etc shrinking.

Hopefully if I just cut out most of the junk I eat and reduce my portion sizes I'll lose weight and save money.

I'm in too! Would like to loose 2 stone. Currently a chubby size 16 and need to loose 20 lbs to reach a healthy BMI. Will try not to snack & make sure I eat 3 healthy meals. Target of below 12 stone by Xmas. I have the Shred but it remains in cellophane.......

Sweetie you should give the shred a go ... its actually not that difficult at level 1 although is very intense it does make you feel like you have had a hell of a workout even if you can't keep up. .. As I can't when I start it again after a break! Dreading doing it tomorrow :)

Yes I need to lose weight before January ideally! I'm a 16/18 desperately need to lose 15-20lbs.

Hi, can I join too? I'd like to lose 2 stone and plan to calorie count and exercise more. I'm very guilty of eating things mindlessly so know I need to focus on the food side of things. Love the idea of a weekly weigh-in, exactly what I need to keep me focused.

Shred is a fitness dvd by Jillian Michaels (well its called the 30 day shred). It's course of three 20 minutes workout where you do the minute s cargo then 2 minutes strength and two minutes abs (or something like that) then repeat with different exercises. I think they're on YouTube.

I weighed in this morning - 12 stone 5.

Just stepped on the scales. I have put on a stone since I broke this darn leg. And I was hefty enough before that.

Well, it's inspired me to do something about it, anyway. Still worried about how to do any effective exercise though. Can't do anything that involves impact.

Can I join too? I'm bf but was doing well until a family bereavement had me falling face first into cake. I need to step away from the biscuits as the rest is pretty reasonable.

Weigh 12st this morning and will attempt to shred with a sick 3 year old and a 9 week old watching! Should be fun!!

Hoping some company will keep me on the wagon
