Can you still GET wetnurses? I thought they were a victorian thing! Are there really still wetnurses for hire? Do they actually feed the baby or just provide expressed milk?

i bet an a lister like jo lo could get a wet nurse in the usa.
along with the nannies and personal chefs etc.
although it might be hardr to find one in your average uk town.

Apparently wet nurses are the big thing now for the super-rich in the USA.

They're kind of 'uber nannies', or nannies with nobs on.... (if you get my gist!)

In other words, demographically she belongs to a group that traditionally has very low rates of breastfeeding. You know - you can take the girl out of a working class suburb, but you can't take the working class suburb out of the girl.... no matter how much Roberto Cavalli she's got.

No - it stands to reason she's not going to breastfeed: she's a second generation bottlefeeder and you can bet your life she's got major control issues (you don't get where she's got in life by taking a laissez faire attitude). Major control issues + twins don't = functional breastfeeding. Also - she's probably so petulant, spoiled and demanding that NOBODY is going to risk raining on her parade by giving her the unpalatable facts about the health issues.

I'm no fan of J-Lo, but to make statements that people from less than middle class or priviledged backrounds are of course going to bottlefeed is condescending, inaccurate and pathetic.
