i dont want to get into a personal slanging match tho cos thats what bullies do too. i had enough of that at school thanks very much

fio2 · 15/11/2004 16:16

it is very easy to pass judgement on young mothers when you havent been one

I could still be an older mother

it is quite easy 'statistically' to say a mother of 16 hasnt been educated at a higher level, it is common sense, because they are not old enough to have a degree for starters!

eefs · 15/11/2004 17:21

gobbledigook, blossimhill, nailpolish - why you are being so aggressive? Not getting into the debate here but you seem to be trying to out-post everyone with your opinions. Yes I can see it's something you are very defensive about but some of what you've said to Buka is very offensive and while I'm not taking a side here I don't think she deserved that.
You've certainly put me off posting about my experiences/opinions because they'd be different to yours therefore open to attack.

blossomhill · 15/11/2004 17:33

Eefs - Where is the aggression????? I haven't even bothered to post on here since 11am this morning? I have been personally attacked on here not the other way round.
I am not getting into this again.
So Eefs - whatever!!!!

fio2 · 15/11/2004 17:35

blossomhill is a big softy

Gobbledigook · 15/11/2004 17:36

eefs - rubbish. Have you read the whole thread? I've only retaliated. I've not attacked anyone for having a different point of view, only defended my point of view when under attack.

Buka has been downright insulting and caused at least one person on this thread a sleepless night of worry.

Perhaps you'll also notice whose attention was brought to the MN philosophy - it wasn't BH, nailpolish or me.

babbler · 15/11/2004 17:37

I think this conversation needs to end before any one on either sides of debate become bruised, I thought we are supposed to be supporting each other on mn.

blossomhill · 15/11/2004 17:37

Yeah but fio when I am pushed, as the incredible hulk says... you wouldn't like me when I am angry .....

Fio - just wanted to say how sorry I was that you wasn't there on Friday Maybe next time?

blossomhill · 15/11/2004 17:38

Some people can have adult conversations, others obviously not.

fio2 · 15/11/2004 17:53

I was sad i wasnt there too blossomhill, would have loved to have met you all, hopefully next time...but wont promise as |I feel bad enough bombing out this time

blossomhill · 15/11/2004 17:58

Oh Fio, don't feel bad . It was just a shame that's all but hopefully some other time?

fio2 · 15/11/2004 18:01

yes hopefully, just the times and stuff make going into london quite tricky when dd is at school and impossible when she isnt I know you know what I mean. Are you in London then?

blossomhill · 15/11/2004 18:02

On the outskirts Fio. Took me just over an hour which wasn't too bad! Where are you again?

fio2 · 15/11/2004 18:06

Kent, South East-ish nr canterbury
you?

Angeliz · 15/11/2004 18:12

eefs, please read bukas post of 9.43pm last night and then ask yourself why bottlefeeders get defensive!

Angeliz · 15/11/2004 18:14

Am heartily sick of being considered the paranoid one here who has to defend her position!

Can no-one see how they'd feel if it were childcare-smacking-controlled-crying...........that were being classed as ignorant, selfish, stupid???

SoupDragon · 15/11/2004 18:19

How about we just call this a day? It's just going to be batted back and forth with people getting all defensive and emotional. It's not going to solve anything or change anyone's mind it's just going to continue to offend people - breastfeeders, bottlefeeders, old and young.

codswallop · 15/11/2004 18:21

I tried that last night soupy

OP posts:
blossomhill · 15/11/2004 18:22

Fio - Near Croydon, Wimbledon way

Angeliz - Don't let it get to you. There are some ignorant people around unfortunately that are not worth getting upset about. There opinion is worthless IMO and they can say what they like about me. They don't even know any of us but sit in judgement.
Let's face it these sad people probably don't have any fun in there lives. This is the only bit of excitement they've probably had in ages!!!!

SoupDragon · 15/11/2004 18:22

Sigh.

hmb · 15/11/2004 18:23

The sad thing (apart of the heart ache this thread has caused people) is that this started out as an interesting discussion that raised well argued points, without people getting upset.

Hay ho.

fio2 · 15/11/2004 18:24

well hopefully blossomhill we will be able to meet soonish am off to look for croydon, dd's taxi driver is from croydon actually

blossomhill · 15/11/2004 18:25

Really Fio? What a small world

hunkermunker · 15/11/2004 18:59

Ooh. 500 messages.

hunkermunker · 15/11/2004 20:39

I scarcely dare to say it, but have I killed this thread?
