Do you think it's possible to tell a breast fed baby/adult?

Spoke to someone today who attended a lecture from a paediatrician who claimed to be able to look at an adult and decide wether they were bf or ff. Then illustrated this by going along the front row and got everyone correct!

I'm finding this hard to believe!!!!

really? did the person who told you notice a difference? I have no idea if I was, my dad claims not to remember and mother died when I was in my teens

It is pretty easy to tell a bf baby from a ff newborn ime. and I see a lot of babies.

Maybe he did it by guessing when they were born and knowing the prevalence of bf/ff at that time.

I am 37 and was ff as were a lot of my generation s that was the general advice given at the time. older than me by a certain age would have been bf as there was no formula- I don't know- just a guess

i am thin, intelligent and have good teeth and also jaw alignment ! was BF and all my sisters and brothers too.
apparently you can tell if someone was BF if they have a good jaw..?

No it was all to do with how tall and thin you were or weren't - tbh I didn't ask too many questions as I didn't really believe it!

I was tall and thin (until I had dd and ate tons of chocolate when I was bf dd) but my brother was tall and fairly well built- both ff

harpsichord - out of interest, how can you tell the difference between a BF baby and a FF baby? is it cos the FF ones are usually fatter/larger?

pixiefish, I teach women and men mainly in their thirties and it is one of the questions I ask them - were you bf or ff? and it is usually about 50/50, maybe 60/40 ff to bf.

charli- smell wise there's a sweet smell to bm that is very different to formula. Don't know how else
