For obvious reasons have changed my name, but how would you feel getting this letter. I assume he found my address by googling my name and location. He also gave his name and address which I haven't googled, too scared in case he is some kind of nut!! Anyway here it is

Dear TheGodmother

I read with great interest about the article regarding breastfeeding. My views are quite liberal. When the subject comes up, I often ask if anyone is offended by seeing a cow milked by a farmer. The answer is no, the only difference is the "animal" that produces it.

The he goes on a couple of paragraphs about woman wearing short skirts and would much rather see a woman feeding a baby, so that the baby get the goodness he needs from milk.

Then he goes on to say - If I get sexually aroused about by seeing breasts in public, then it?s my problem and not the problem of the woman concerned.

As a man I could easily have took advantage of the situation like some pervert and say something like....

I just watch breastfeeding woman and stare and enjoy the site. It's like a cross between page 3 and watching Carry on film. Sometimes I take pictures and after I have started about 5 mins, I start to have a stiff down below, I take advantage of this by putting my hands in my pocket and then I adjust my...

..but I'm not that sort of person. I respect the beliefs of other people. I am glad that you are no longer shy to breastfeed in public.

Thanks for reading this letter and I wish you luck in the future

Google earth can be fun and it's a huge invasion of privacy. Fascinating. But every single time I've looked for my island on it it's completely covered in cloud. I tried to buy some commercial satellite pictures of it but the companies I approached hadn't mapped that area.

Hulababy · 17/06/2007 18:55

I didn't think google Earth was live though, so images don't change and are same every time you look?

Judy1234 · 17/06/2007 19:24

It's not - they take pictures but they update it I think every year or two.

Ah right. That's what I though, Misunderstood before. My old car is on the driveway of my parent's house on Google Earth

If someone finds bf erotic, that's up to them and there is nowt you can do about it - weird, but so are a lot of fetishes. And Xenia is right, there's not a lot you can do about people taking photos. However, it is NOT ok to try to intimidate someone and that's what this man is trying to do by sending a letter like that. Police, definitely.

I am so nieve, I spent half an hour bf in the middle of a shopping centre this morning and it did not occur to me once that anyone might get a kick out of it. I did get a few funny looks though, mainly from older women. . I definately think that you should contact the police, it is sick to write that sort of thing to you, if he is an innocent man who just had a wierd day then let him explain that to the police. It might be that they have come accross him before and know more about him than you do. Telling them about it can't do you any harm, will just be a slight inconvenience to you but you never know if his perversions are increasing in their nature you might just protect someone else by letting the police know. They can decide whether to follow it up or not.

Absolutely bring the letter AND the envelope straight to the police. The writer of the letter is a dangerous person.

WOW, I have never ever thought that BF could be conceived as sexual by men??!
I usually hear how men are so turned off by it, or selfishly encourage the mother to formula feed because they are threatened by the intimacy. Middle-aged women glaring at me have been my breastfeeding enemies, or men who obviously find the whole act disgusting.
This is a new insight of how insane the human mind can become. To echo another poster; "horrid, horrid little man" are my first instincts. Please report it to the police or something.
