MoneySavingExpert = to be fair, its a really useful site

bubblerock · 01/03/2007 22:02

Argh.. No definately NOT my views at all

It's moneysavingexpert.com, which is an absolutely brilliant resourceful website (if you avoid breastfeeding threads of course)!! I just couldn't believe some of the posts on there, I know we have spats on here over breastfeeding/formula etc... but anyone spouting the shite that's on that thread would get chased out of town!

Is someone a member of that benighted site?

Could you not just direct everyone on to here, so that they can get educated?

i couldnt be bothered to read the whole thread cos of all the quotes and dancing smilies attacking my poor pregnabrain...BUT i couldnt remember my old name so i just re-registered and it took about 30 seconds if anybody wants to go and kick ass.

Caligula · 01/03/2007 22:20

What is the title of the thread? I'm curious now and I can't find it.

Jillyadoodledoo · 01/03/2007 22:25

LOL at muminfife

Goodasgold · 01/03/2007 22:26

I think MSE is the forum the op is referring to Money saving expert.

I always ask the owner/manager when I enter a place, is it ok to feed dd2 here. They always say yes. So I do. If any freak didn't like it I could refer them back to the owner/manager. If it was in a library, and the librarian said no you can't feed your baby in here I would esculate it and make a serious complaint.

Caligula · 01/03/2007 22:27

Yes but I can't find it on MSE either.

bubblerock · 01/03/2007 22:28

It's in the moneysavers arms under discussions, it should be near the top as it's still going strong The title is "So Upset... Sat in a coffee shop BF when..."

You can tell a few mumsnetters have been on now!

bubblerock · 02/03/2007 12:49

LOL - there are some great posts on there - I presume they're from mumsnetters!

OP posts:
OrmIrian · 02/03/2007 12:58

Right. Really now!!!! (see...all those exclamation marks?) We need legislation not only to prevent discimination of any kind against bfing mothers in public, but also public flogging of any ignorant middle-aged men who object/find it disgusting/make faces....... because they need to learn the error of their ways.

I've fed all 3 in public until they were quite old, in every conceivable place, and never ever met any hostility so this is really shocking to me.

Jillyadoodledoo · 02/03/2007 12:59

I still can't find the thread! Arrrgghhh

bubblerock · 03/03/2007 19:30

oops, looks like it kicked off last night, the threads been locked now so it can still be read but not added to.

OP posts:
Judy1234 · 03/03/2007 19:51

I always wanted to get stopped or objected to so I could make my point but it never happened. perhaps people's objections are rarer than you think. I remember one man saying it was one of the most beautiful sights there is. It's why so many artists have painted children at their mothers' breasts. People who object need therapy. It's probably the way their parents brought them up, potty training defective or something.

Caligula · 04/03/2007 20:00

God what a boring site. Someone gets drunk and tells everyone to fuck off, so they close the thread and no-one else can post.

No wonder I love mumsnet.
