Just wondered - would you breast feed a friend's baby??

Just been having a conversation with a friend - would you be happy breast feeding someone else's baby, and how would you feel if someone else offered to feed yours?

I was thinking of the sort of scenario where you've had to leave your baby with someone else, and they need a feed, like if you're really sick or something.

I don't think I'd have a problem with it either way tbh.

Jools

It looks fairly maniacal from here too.

SaintGeorge · 16/08/2006 22:04

Cowmad go bother Centerparcs or something please and leave the adults to have a conversation.

HM - ignore, ignore and resist that urge to tell the little barstewards where to go.

FrannyandZooey · 16/08/2006 22:08

I found it insulting that you called me and lots of other posters on here weird, cowmad. We are real people here, not just words on your screen, you know.

hunkermunker · 16/08/2006 22:09

Sorry SG.

SaintGeorge · 16/08/2006 22:12

Weird the woman who has no sense of irony or humour.
Weird the woman who bf her child but is so repulsed by anything to do with bfing!

Just off to make some EBM hot choc and feed the cat - here pussy pussy, booby at the ready....

kiskidee · 16/08/2006 22:16

lanismum · 16/08/2006 22:18

erm, not sure if anyone will be able to help, but can anyone find me any threads on painfull breastfeeding? my friend has a beautiful 2 week old baby boy that shes bf, and shes in agony, shes had no luck with the health visitors, and is having a really tough time, i thought maybe mn would be of more help?

Piffle · 16/08/2006 22:18

And for the record I gave my ds's (12) form teachera good flash of my cleaveage on parents night, he had been picking on ds for stupid little things and I charmed him into being nice to my son

Piffle · 16/08/2006 22:20

lanis there have been a couple of thread recently in the breast/bottle feeding section about painful feeding

SaintGeorge · 16/08/2006 22:21

I'll bump some for you lanismum, give me a sec

lanismum · 16/08/2006 22:21

oh excellent, i knew there must have been threads on it, ill have a search and print them off for her.

lanismum · 16/08/2006 22:23

thank you too saintgeorge, she did ask me for advice but i couldnt help, i hate to think of her dreading the next feed.

SaintGeorge · 16/08/2006 22:26

Have bumped 2 old ones that look useful. There are loads though, depends exactly what the problem is.

If you do a search, try 'painful' as the key word in the subject line and then narrow the search to just this topic.

HTH

lanismum · 16/08/2006 22:27

hunkermunker · 16/08/2006 22:29

Lanismum, will look at your thread now.

Piffle · 16/08/2006 22:34

I'm glad it worked Hunker, Christ almighty knows what I would have had to pull out of the box next time, had the situation not improved so

cowmad · 16/08/2006 22:35

SaintGeorge · 16/08/2006 22:37

No need to look you up, the bloody thread comes up often enough.

hunkermunker · 16/08/2006 22:37

Piffle...pmsl (almost literally - dammit!)

Cowmad, you still here?

Tell you what, I'm feeling generous - why don't you trot off to some other threads and demonstrate that you're not a madcow and perhaps I'll reconsider my last post to you.

If you could hold your breath while doing so, I'd appreciate it.

Piffle · 16/08/2006 22:37
