Hi everyone, cannot believe we have exchanged over 5000 messages!

mrsn when we shared our locations on here a while back, heff, goat and I all turned out to live near Uxbridge so we met up having met on here. It is lovely, if you are ever down south let us know!

macaroons sounds like we are in the same boat Hmm I officially return to work on 15 Feb but that is actually the Friday before half term so only have that day and then another week off before full time return hits. I am lucky that DH is being a SAHD til 1st July so no drop offs, pick ups or worries about the childminder ringing me because babyfunch is ill etc, and she is in great hands with him, much as I have been critical of him til we talked it over recently. However I am worried about being at work on no sleep - I will get in a lot of trouble if I lose my rag with a pupil or indeed a member of my team (one of whom is a pain). I will have to perfect the art of letting some things go (eg uniform issues in the corridor as opposed to in my lessons - I spend a lot of time arguing with pupils about these and intend to stop save for the very worst!) and dealing with others by just reporting bad behaviour to heads of year rather than dealing with it myself. I am head of faculty so will focus just on what happens in lessons in my faculty rather than working quite so hard on having the best corridor behaviour in the school in my area - it is great having that but takes a lot of time, energy and conflict so it will just have to go n the back burner until I am getting proper sleep again. At this rate dd will be in year 7 by then herself and can help me!

The 8 hour stint was most definitely a one off, we've already had a 1am feed and we're up again Sad

funchum8am · 12/01/2013 03:09

small same here, wide awake and thrashing about. I think reflux symptoms are back so I must need to up the Gaviscon. Where do they find the energy to stay awake at this time?!

Third feed of the night and I am not getting up if he thinks its morning -4.30 is not morning

MissingMyMarbles · 12/01/2013 04:44

Also on third feed here. Second was a 1. Two 3 hour stretches since 10 is quite good. Both proper feeds so haven't used dummies yet. Attempting transfer...

larlemucker · 12/01/2013 04:44

Don't know what's going on with baby larle but we've had 2 nights now where he has slept for 6 hours! It's bliss (sorry to those of you not getting any sleep)
Mind you I was feeding him every hour before we started topping up with formula. Think he is sleeping well as he refuses to nap during the day, well on longer than 15 mins at a time.
Re rowing with hubby, mines still on paternity leave, the rows will start next week when he goes back to work!

MissingMyMarbles · 12/01/2013 06:50

We may be up for the day, although Missmarbles appears wire snoozy still. Would be nice to sly another hour Grin DD1 had just climbed in next to me with a bad dream too.....

MrsNPattz · 12/01/2013 06:53

Well well well. This is first feed so since half 9!! The class yesterday must have tired him out!! He woke me at 3 crying but it was in his sleep.

Thank you guys. funch kind of, hubby is from here and has a good job that he couldn't get anywhere else (oil) and I had just finished uni so it made sense for me to move. It also means there's not much chance of us moving from here Sad smicha sorry you are having a hard time too!

Thanks for more advice re swimming, I will have a look.

I think this is up time but I can't really complain can I!

Smallgreenone · 12/01/2013 08:22

He eventually went to sleep and DH took him at 6. He settled after another bottle, he's basically starving hungry. I really must stop talking about it and start solids.

MissingMyMarbles · 12/01/2013 09:02

We did end up up for the day. DD1 decided she would go downstairs. U did try to bring Missmarbles into bed for an hour but she had far too much to sayGrin
Hope DH, who is currently still in bed, is feeling better today as I only have two aims: complete c25k and snooze because I so tired.

StitchAteMySleep · 12/01/2013 10:07

Well my second feed ended up lasting until 3am as stitch woke back up 10 mins after I put her down. She then woke up at 5am wide awake, standing up holding onto the headboard and hitting me in the face after an hour she decided she was tired and went back to sleep and is still sleeping!

I think we are all brewing a virus as we are all rather snuffly and me and DH have earache. At least DH put the telly on for dd1 and sorted her out so I snooze in bed till 9.30am.

At least my mum is visiting this weekend to play with the girls, I might actually get a few things done in the house with an extra pair of eyes on the baby.

funchum8am · 12/01/2013 10:19

marbles my day sounds much like yours, only DH is absenting himself to play rugby rather than because he is ill.He did seek my permission before agreeing to play Grin

Another terrible night here, up from 2am til 4.30 with her feeding and asleep on me, punctuated by various transfer fails. Then DH took her to the 24 hour Tesco to let me sleep. PILs are visiting tomorrow so watch this space for FIL comments on my weight!

New breast pump has arrived, well done Amazon, but babyfunch is refusing to nap so expressing and C25k are being delayed, grr.

As well as my good night I just got a lie in til now as hubby took him! Don't want to sound smug but it was needed.

funchum8am · 12/01/2013 18:33

We are on the tube with babyfunch in the carrycot heading for a beer tasting our friends run every year...bottles of ebm at the ready. Think we are actually insane...

OP posts:
GoatBongosAnonymous · 12/01/2013 18:38

funch don't get the liquids mixed up!

GoatBongosAnonymous · 12/01/2013 18:40

...though I bet no one would guess the make of the ebm! Grin

Ameybee · 12/01/2013 19:19

funch sounds fab! Enjoy!

I took DD out for a bit just me n her today n has seemed to improve things a bit. I find it weird that her behaviour has suddenly changed tho as she's been ok since he was born more or less.

We are usually only having 1 feed per night now which is amazing! He seems to be unsettled between 7-9 tho, even tho asleep he wakes up frequently wanting cuddling, and the same from 6-7am. Hoping that's something which will resolve itself eventually.
Going swimming Tomo with my middle brother, SIL & DN, they are a bit obsessive about her nap/meal times so we end up fitting in with what they want (err hello 3 year old and 16 week old!) I'm a bit worried it won't be warm enough for DS but ill just take him out if he gets cold.
mrsn the hats on fb are fab! X

Smallgreenone · 12/01/2013 20:26

amey baby small wakes repeatedly for cuddles too, we are on cuddle number 500 at the moment.
Beer tasting sounds fab funch, enjoy!

MrsNPattz · 12/01/2013 20:28

Enjoy funch!

amey one feed is great - and I'm glad you got some DD time today Smile

heff I feel awful that I left you off that Facebook post, it wasn't deliberate - stupid fuzzy brain Sad

We had a nice day, went for a late lunch at Franky and Bennie's and had to take some things back to a few shops. Little man was so good and slept the whole time. He has slept a lot today and that combined with his good night last night means I am not expecting a good night!

Ameybee · 12/01/2013 20:40

Glad its not just us small I got fed up so he's sat n watched me make a veg curry then had poonami & clothes change and now another bottle - he should sleep through to 7 at this rate Grin ha ha.
DS is going to be wearing a pink body Warner wet suit Tomo at swimming (DD's) people will think he's a girl Blush DH not happy about it but we won't get time to go into town beforehand! I went to a mothercare clearance store today & got him swim nappy trunks for 99p! There were SO many bargains it was unbelievable! I'm going back to get his summer wardrobe once I've been paid! They had allsorts! Carseats plans cots, beds all half price or less! X

funchum8am · 12/01/2013 20:43

beer tasting going great! babyfunch fed to sleep when we got there while I drank the first beer. Everyone thinks it is hilarious she is here Grin. Can strongly recommend Kostritzer black lager. Is anyone else on here a CAMRA member?

OP posts:
larlemucker · 13/01/2013 00:25

First feed of the night. Last 3 nights have had to wake baby larle to feed!
Think he may have caught hubbys cold too, he sounds snuffly

BrainGoneAwol · 13/01/2013 02:35

Sorry to have been absent for a few days. Nights were awful - around 1 hour between feeds - so I've barely been awake enough to feed babybrain, let alone write a post on here. I'm sure his sleep shouldn't be this bad at 5 months!

Somehow he's suddenly managed to go from 9-2 tonight though, so I'm feeling great after getting 4 hours! Grin Hoping this is the start of sensible sleeping again...

I used to be a camra member funch when I lived in Devon (haha, phone wants to change that to Demon!) Now I'm used to nasty watered down London beer I probably don't have the constitution for the proper stuff.

larle sounds like things are going well Smile

Sorry for lack of name checks. Too many to catch up on.

Made a chocolate & mars bar rice krispie slab yesterday to use up some old cereal. So tempting to go and get some. There's still a slight smell of melted chocolate in the air Grin

Smallgreenone · 13/01/2013 02:44

Sorry you've been having bad nights brain baby small is nearly 5 months too and his sleep is pretty shocking so you aren't alone! I really hoped he might have got a bit better by now but hey ho he's better tonight than last night- one step at a time!
mrsn I loved your Facebook post- hilarious!
Transfer time..............back soon

Smallgreenone · 13/01/2013 02:48

Yup fail and now asleep on me. Will try three times and then take him to bed with me.
Hope everyone else is sleeping

StitchAteMySleep · 13/01/2013 02:57

Feed three here, feed two and feed one were back to back as stitch woke up within 10 mins of being put down. She has a cold, is running a slight temp and pretty sure her ears are hurting her too.

Was woken up by movement sensor alarm, which freaked me out a bit, but my mum had taken her out when she woke up and forgotten to switch it off, phew.

Well done to all those having more sleep/less wakes, long may it continue!

Funch sounds like fun, hope babyfunch sleeps well for you tonight :)
