babyfunch slept through from 6:30 to 2:30 Shock ...second night in a row of dropping the 10:30 feed. But I am not allowing myself to get excited, it is not going to last will be devastated if it doesn't now

funchum8am · 11/12/2012 02:45

small I have my fingers crossed for you that it is not mastitis and you feel better very soon Sad Sad

Ameybee · 11/12/2012 03:04

Crap night here Confused 3rd time up, although I knew he hadn't fed well last time but I daren't play nappy roulette after what happened last time Shock!
heff car vomathon must've have been Confused - Grin at mummy boobies tho! My DD keeps telling me she's feeding her baby twins?!? Adventurous bf twins love!! X stingy eyes!

Smallgreenone · 11/12/2012 03:26

Well I'm still alive! First feed since 11. Am feeding from the sore side just in case it is the dreaded M...............
Actually don't feel any worse so that's good I suppose.
Cold tonight here if he wakes again he'll have to come into bed, too cold to get up again.
I'm absolutely starving tonight perhaps I need to brave the cold and venture downstairs for another profiterole Xmas Grin

Susieloo · 11/12/2012 03:39

Eyes stinging and shutting on their own.

MissingMyBaubles · 11/12/2012 03:48

Stinging eyes is right!! I have one closed!

I typed the above and then a combined cough/burp/fart resulted in a vim argon do we've just had a full strip down and are now wide awake. Both of usXmas Sad

Hope it's not mastitis Small

Sounds like you've just about cracked this sleeping lark Susie. We make one step forward then ten backwardsXmas Sad

And good work, babies Funch and ButtonsXmas Smile

I'm with you in the DH feeding front, Amey; although I wouldn't want DH to have proper moobs. I think that would freak me out slightlyXmas Grin

Xmas Grin @ your DD Heff.

Attempting transfer. I repeat, attempting transfer. Over and out.

MissingMyBaubles · 11/12/2012 03:50

Vomathon was autocorrected to vim argon Xmas Hmm....

MissingMyBaubles · 11/12/2012 03:58

Bollocks! Pardon the language. It appeared we had successful self settling going on, but I though I heard vomiting so came in to check. No vomiting but disturbed Missmarbles, which I think constitutes a transfer fail Xmas Hmm

Xmas Sad x-posts with Susie, (because it did take me that long to finish postXmas Grin), hope you get back to sleep soon.

Trying again.......

funchum8am · 11/12/2012 04:06

Feeding again here after the usual transfer followed by 20 mins sleep followed by reflux waking her up again Sad. I really need that to stop happening, as it means I am effectively up from the 2/3am feed onwards Sad. Might see gp about getting some gaviscon.

MrsNPattz · 11/12/2012 05:19

First feed here since 10:30! I woke at 3:30 though with a dripping nose Sad feel awful, I have swollen glands too so it's definitely not the mastitis. small you poor thing - I really hope it's not! Hope you feel better this morning. I'm sure little man is going to catch my cold, how could he not when I'm breathing all over him!

Lol heff, thanks - hope you got to sleep eventually! And everyone else has too!

Goatbongohohoandjinglejingle · 11/12/2012 05:27

Second feed of night! A record I think. If you don't count the I'm-so-starving wails at 2:30, then when I tried to feed him, the what-on-earth-are-you-doing look Xmas Hmm
I am knackered after a day of packing up my old house ready for completion on Thursday. Will read and respond in the morning! 5:30 def does not count as morningl)
See you later...

elvislives2012 · 11/12/2012 05:35

Well. DD had a crappy evening of inconsolable crying. Eventually calmed, fed and settled at 2230. Convinced myself it was going to be a crappy night but no! This is first feed! 7 hours! I obviously didn't sleep and my boobs were killing me, but still! WOHOOO Grin
Hope everyone else had good nights too

Twobuttonsaway · 11/12/2012 07:20

Mixed nights it seems, baby buttons did 7:30pm then 2am and then went through to 6:30am - oh please let this be a habit... And one which you can all catch as easily as a cold!

Sorry for being rubbish at name checking -app makes it hard and brain has dried up! Hope mastitis fears are unfounded, colds go quickly and babies are smiley and happy today. Wink

Smallgreenone · 11/12/2012 07:54

It is mastitis Sad big red patch on boob. Will go to the dr for some antibiotics today. Bollocks.
Quite a good night by baby small though with just one wake up.

Ameybee · 11/12/2012 09:26

Sorry its mastitis small Sad I hope you feel much better soon! X

HeffalumpsAndWoozles · 11/12/2012 10:06

Oh no small , bollocks indeed :( hope it clears up ASAP.

We slept 1.30 to 6 which isn't half bad, then once DD1 was up dressed and out the door on way to childminder we got another couple if hours until 9 so I'm feeling ok this morning. Going for NCT coffee in a minute so hopefully the caffeine will finish the job of waking me up.

Just been weed on... Hmm best go change. See you all later, lovely days all round. xx

MrsNPattz · 11/12/2012 11:47

Oh no small really sorry! Do you think if you have had it before you are more susceptible to it? Hope you feel better very soon!

Just had a good chat with my health visitor and feel a bit better about things. Think I'm going to see my GP in the next few weeks too to see if my medication needs upping!

Hope you all have good days everyone, we are in for the day now and just going to snuggle!

Hello, sorry I haven't posted for a while, been feeling a bit overwhelmed with it all. Also phone is on DH's side of the bed as I have a cot on mine (they need to include in-built bedside tables for specs/phone etc, I may write to the Bednest people) so even when I've wanted to post it's been difficult without disturbing him.

Sorry to hear about the issues with mastitis and family sickness. It must be so difficult to juggle.

We've had a couple of quite good nights with patterns of 4 hrs + 2 hrs of sleeping in cot, combined with DH taking him for an hr or two in the morning, meant I've had the chance to sleep too. Unfortunately also had some incredibly wakeful nights - no distress or reason for it, just wide open eyes and wriggling out of bedclothes. Wouldn't even sleep on my chest. Much better than the colicky windy screaming all night, but still impossible to put down and get some sleep!

Anyway just to say I am thinking of the night crew and hoping you are all having sleepy babies and successful transfers each night.

Ameybee · 11/12/2012 14:12

Zzzzz I'm tired this afternoon Sad. Been doing a bit of Xmas shopping in Costco (avoided food aisle). Done a few bits online this afternoon.
Feel very fat today, I stayed the same on ww for 2 weeks but I haven't been very good - so difficult when I've been so knackered! I only have one pair of jeans that fit me which is quite difficult when I need to wash them! I read an article about bf and in it says that the biggest fat burning of bf is between 3-6 months so let's hope I get skinny then Grin x

MrsNPattz · 11/12/2012 16:33

Wow amey I hope that's true Grin I can never resist Costco choc shortbread! In fact we are going at the weekend as I love their homemade Christmas present labels so will be stocking up Grin

Not sure mrsn its the other boob thus time so probably unrelated. Feeling very sorry for myself and waiting for the antibiotics to kick in. Ive fed him from it all day but i swear its got worse not better.
Going straight to bed after this feed. Hopefully I'll be a bit better after some rest. It's times like these I really wish we lived nearer home, could really do with my mum to have come today and helped. MIL lives round the corner but wasn't available to help out today- typical!!
Will be back later with a more positive post!!

Ameybee · 11/12/2012 19:10

Virtual hug small hope some rest helps!
Baby bee is now refusing ebm Confused he has got himself into a right state over it :(. I don't really know what time of night is best to try it with him, we've just tried post bath with no joy. I'm sure some of the babies on this thread have ebm - what time do you do it? mrsn have you tried your LO with a bottle at all? And yes the choc shortbread is amazing! I could eat an entire box! Hence my fat arse! Really wish our evenings were a bit more settled, I miss just chilling on the sofa for an hour or two.
Had to take DS to gp tonight as he has a very sore looking winky since Friday Blush he has some cream now bless him! Xx

MrsNPattz · 11/12/2012 20:24

I have only tried it a couple of times amey - the first time he took it fine but it have him terrible wind, so we changed bottles then the last 2 times he only took a tiny amount as he wasn't hungry. I am out on Thursday lunch time so will have to leave some for MIL so will see how it goes. I'm dreading leaving him Sad but I know I need to do it for myself. I know what you mean about evenings, I miss snuggling up with hubby! Hopefully we will get them back soon!

small sending my sympathies! Did you get antibiotics? I know what you mean about wanting your mum closer, it's rubbish!

I was sorting some things out for little mans memory box before and got really emotional - looking at the things from the hospital and stuff, blub blub lol

MrsNPattz · 11/12/2012 21:25

susie please could you tell me where you got your light projector from? Do the lights move on the ceiling or stay still? I have just bought one and I'm a bit disappointed - it's lovely but it just flicks between two different images on the ceiling and I'm not sure what good that's going to do. Thanks!
