Bare breasts in public

Do you feel it is acceptable to bare your whole breast while breastfeeding in public.

I remember getting on a bus in summer and somehow was shocked to see that a lady on the bus had slipped off her spaghetti strap and lowered top to breastfeed her baby. I was surprised that i felt disgusted by it. surely she is feeding the baby. Couldnt she have lifted up the top instead? the teenage boys behind me were more into the huge breasts and it started to look like soft porn.

I think i will back off.

I just tried to explain that i personally worried about perverts being in the vicinty due to a bad experience. does anybody read any more or do you just look for certain keywords and conclude that it must be all bad.

And why the attack on other people?
To recap

  1. I was surprised that i felt disgusted by it

  2. I have temped with a charity that works with peadophiles (spelling?) and stuff like that seemed to fuel their perverted imaginations.

  3. I think i have been traumatised ever since.

I WORRY ABOUT MY SONS FUTURE. doesnt anybody read? I know for a fact that the bf force doesnt cares to help others who need better perspective or help on stuff. And to those who choose to leave it, i salute you.

ffm........if you mention paedophilia and b/feeding in the same breath so to speak, you will get a very rough ride.

If you've had a bad experience with your work (and who wouldn't??) maybe you need to talk it through with someone???

CliffRichardSucksEggsinHell · 26/11/2005 21:56

Ok, look I just looked you up and you have posted before. It's just that we get a lot of trolls on the site, posting controversial stuff, you know, and pervs trying to get us to talk about stuff so they can get off on it. When I first read your post I just thought "Uh oh!", you have to admit, if you didn't know any better you might think that too.

But if you read the responses on here you will have your questions about b/f answered. If you don't mind I'd really rather not comment any more as I'd only get all heated and upset about 'what other people think'.

colditz, breasts have no sexual function at all? What planet are you on woman? They do in my bed!

mumfor1sttime · 26/11/2005 22:05

Blimey give ffm a break! She is just trying to explain her experience.
I have read her post, and dont see anything offensive.

finefatmama · 26/11/2005 22:17

thanks guys.

on the flip side, I am happy that those of you reading this post are here on this bf post debating stuff and not on the bereavement board wishing you could even have a baby to debate about.

pls spare a thought for the bereaved.

25 to life for all perverts.

Stop it please, this is no place to discuss that. This thread has been reported. You may be legit but you are out of line saying that!

finefatmama · 26/11/2005 22:28

My bad.

If you mean the bereavement, been there done that. I have been creeping about this site for a couple of years but my Tiffany died at 5 weeks in 2003, i used to say that to myself whenever things got lively. no sentiments required.

I have nothing to hide or be ashamed of. all agrieved parties feel free to report, misunderstand and misrepresent all you want.

then again maybe not.

What has that got to do with perverts though? Seriously? I'm just not sure about you. I'm sorry if you have lost a baby, really I am, many of my friends have too, but to post it on a topic like this? And then to follow it up with a comment about pervs? I'm refraining from further posts and will leave it all in the hands of Mumsnet Towers.

finefatmama · 26/11/2005 22:59

OOOH you meant addendum hoping they get 25years to life in jail. . poetic licence.

twas ambigous to me. i thot you meant the bereaved bit was inappropriate and i was wondering about how wierd you were. am being a bit distracted here.

yep we should leave it altogether.
