Hi Ladies

I am looking for some advice. I am going back to work full time and I am exclusively breastfeeding. My LO will be 19 weeks and will take a bottle of expressed milk and formula. However I am unsure of how often I should be expressing at work as I will be missing his 10am, 1pm and 4pm feeds. I usually feed 6 times a day and he sleeps through. I guess what I want to know is how many times should i be expressing a day, how much should I aim to express? I could also look at dropping a feed as he weighs 17pounds but I dont want him to stop sleeping through? Any advice? Thanks a million

Hi
I thought kellymom had some sort of calculator to help with this? Have a look there....In terms of pumping at work and how many times that's tricky? You need to try to ensure you're as relaxed as possible and as unstressed as you can. So do you have an electric double pump? Will you be somewhere private?? This can impact the amount you can pump...
I hope this helps-and good luck!

I've just changed my name back....I exclusively expressed for dd1 for a year and used an Ameda Lactaline. It was fab - and great customer service when some elements needed replacing. However that was 6 yrs ago and there are a number of other pumps on the market...so it might be worthwhile posting again on a new thread asking for double pump recommendations.

Let me know if I can help with anything else...
