Mob Incident In Surrey

Has anyone seen or heard about this?

My heart is breaking, why are humans like this? Not one single human tried to help her. They tore out her braids from her scalp and beat her black and blue; ofcourse it won't show as much because of the colour of her skin and the fact that black skin is thicker than white skin. This is so sad. Schools needs to teach kindness and character to students instead of all this trans nonsense! Trans people, dogs and cats seem to have more protection in this country. I'm in tears. What can we do to change people like this??

I've written to several MPs and councillors, please do too.

It looks like the blonde girl marched in and attacked the girl who managed to to get the upper hand for a few seconds before being set upon by the others. I wouldn't call that giving as good as she got. She was attacked!

It was horrific to watch, seeing how vicious the attack was by fairly young girls. One of them is year 6!
The mother encouraging and instructing from the side, I am disgusted and lost for words.

They seem to be travellers beating up the black girl and I heard the mother say something about Down's syndrome too . I bet the police don't do anything. Who knows who started this fight ? Or what it was over .

It really doesn't matter one bit 'who started this fight' (actually seems pretty clear from the video) or what it was about. Kicking a girl in the head and face and tearing her braids off her scalp is fucking horrendous. These girls and their parents are utter scum and I really feel for everyone subjected to their vile behaviour, wether it's other students, teachers, neighbours or retail staff.

It's absolutely shocking how none of the bystanders step in to help the victim. What the fuck is wrong with that place and these people?! Poor girl, she must have been so scared and is probably scarred for life by this attack. Hope she can heal and move from this. 😢

LilyMumsnet · 07/02/2023 22:18

Hi OP

We have removed the link in your opening post, as police have made a public appeal requesting that people do not share the video whilst they investigate.

Villagetoraiseachild · 07/02/2023 22:42

It's despicable behaviour, shocking and brutal.
Beyond words.
Hoping for justice.

One of them , a 15yr old is already on the run and we all know members of her community will hide her .

Yes, and then she'll attack some other victim

They need to bring in new laws in the country we are too soft, people like this need to be severely punished

Hungrycaterpillarsmummy · 07/02/2023 23:02

God that poor girl. Abhorrent.

Those little fucks I wish the girl managed to knock one of the littler ones out. That'd have made them think twice the next time.
Fuckers

Eventually. Sat in their cars watching, then all softly softly 'come on girks'

I'm not quite 5ft, soft as clarts, one functioning arm and I'd have been straight out of my car telling them to get the fuck off her.

poor poor girl 💔

the smart mouth in the background 'she's year 6 she is' full of admiration for the little shit in the purple tracksuit. Sickening too.

As for 'giving as good'. Words Fail me. She was trying to protect her face while several people were kicking her in the head & face. With one mother telling them to do it and others saying they were going to kill her.

@user1477255159 do you know where this was?

Near Heathrow Airport in London

IreallyLikeCrisps · 07/02/2023 23:15

Its fucking awful. I'm a local. That school has had a bad rep for years, despite it being paired with Howard of Effingham.

I hope the girl is okay.. though even if she is physically, I can't imagine her being mentally okay. I've seen a few videos of the attack and it was terrifying.

I don't understand why people drove past! I can understand children filming it... they don't want to intervene because it might come back on them, but at least they can give it to the police as evidence.

But adults?! I feel like I would have to step in. I just can't help but imagine that it was my child and an adult didn't stop to help.

Nope333 · 07/02/2023 23:17

I have seen this on various places tonight and truth be told people probably did not want to intervene as lots of people are shit scared of travellers! Rightly or wrongly they are stereotyped for fighting and other antisocial stuff and lots of people don’t want to upset them.

I hope this girl is ok it looked absolutely awful being piled on by so many.

IreallyLikeCrisps · 07/02/2023 23:25

Just realised this was in Black Mumsnetters topic. Not sure on the etiquette for white women posting here (me). It must be awful hearing about this. Where I live is very diverse and mostly is a welcoming community in my experience. Hopefully incidents like this are few and far between.

watcherintherye · 07/02/2023 23:35

Skodacool · 07/02/2023 21:24

Good god! Are you actually watching the same video? Perhaps you’re the proud parent of one of the lovely girls beating and kicking the poor girl. Even when the adults, (teachers?), intervene it’s in a very feeble way.

Why have you quoted my post when I’m expressing the same sentiment as you? The words in bold are what I was quoting from another poster, not mine. Pay more attention to detail in future. Thanks.

Derbee · 08/02/2023 00:25

We’re not allowed to comment on the blatant background of the attackers, but the teachers intervening are likely aware of the repercussions from the community that the attackers are from, when they intervened.

Sighhhhh · 08/02/2023 01:25

Please please don’t say things like “black skin is thicker than white skin”. It’s incorrect and it adds to this horrible issue of seeing black people as people who are supposed to be able to take pain (physical and emotional). Some bruises won’t show as much due to pigmentation - not thick skin.

Thank you OP for starting the thread. I am really angry and heartbroken by the video.

Rodentsrock · 08/02/2023 02:18

Just clicked on the news link and see its the area I grew up in, and my husbands old secondary school. That made me go funny. Its always been rough but this is a new level.
What on earth is wrong with people? I work in a school and see that children are the direct product of their parent (sometimes). That scares me.
This poor girl. What an awful world filled with hatred sometimes. Literally, where is the love or even just some respect for our fellow humans? 😔

Just here to reiterate the point made above.
As someone who cannulates patients, SKIN IS SKIN and NO black skin is NOT thicker.

debbrianna · 08/02/2023 08:47

I was not going to watch this, but I did.
After watching the video, there is no way logically the fight started with her throwing the first punch being filmed on camera. Loghicaly any person can deduce that it started before that.

I also, saw some where the girl had been racially abused for 3days prior.

If she were my child, all hell would break loose. The head and the other teacher with him need to be fired due to a lack of safeguarding. Idiots!

Hoppinggreen · 08/02/2023 08:50

That footage is horrific, that girl in the pink looks about 10 and she’s stamping on her. I hope everyone involved is suitably punished and the victim recovers as quickly as possible

I hope she gets sent to the juvenile delinquent place. Vile children.

EyesOnThePies · 08/02/2023 08:55

Utterly sickening.

I take the comments in the OP about bruises and skin to be bitter / ironic because of the frequent difference in treatment towards black and other victims.

MsMarch · 08/02/2023 09:02

That video was horrible, I am so sorry for that poor girl. And of COURSE there's a racist element. My DS had a similar, but MUCH MUCH less serious situation last year where 4 boys were pushing and shoving him while the mother of one was screaming obscenities. DS is white but the way the other parents who were present behaved was shocking - two dads stepped in while the others all claimed complete ignorance. I truly believe that if he'd been black it would have been worse. As can be seen by what this poor young girl has experienced.
