It's a shame it was taken down so soon as I made a recent police report.

It's a tiny thing but I'm so happy to hear it's gone. The racism was like none other.

Only one person challenged the minstrel photo.

I'm still extremely wary as a lot of mc posters are here commenting on my threads and trolling the H&M threads.

@PatricksRum You and I have chatted before and I just want to commend you for standing firm through all of this. The abuse you received for trying to get a black MN set up was horrendous, and although I don't post on it, I had a quick peek and it is well used and successful.

Seconding this comment from @Rousette. I was horrified by the reception you got on those threads, and the fact that the AIBU poll came in at close to 50-50. It was a real eye-opener for me as to just how many white people are racist as fuck (sorry, I realise that you know this, but as a white person I could hide from the reality - well, not any more). I always liked to kid myself that it was about 10%; now I can't hide from the fact that it's closer to 50%.

The minstrel picture is horrible and clearly racist and not acceptable. Can I ask what's wrong with the third screenshot? Is it that the mixed race person is suggesting it's silly to have a black people's section on MN?

I watched a documentary where celebrities confronted these trolls and, as you can imagine, cowering, not willing to admit or face confrontation.
I just know these people would not act the same in person.

Not everyone saw it. I believe it was left up, though, which is adding insult to injury. The author of the post and the unsavoury image wasn’t the sharpest knife in the box. Butt still, he should have been ignored by the others. To say nothing, is to condone the post.

But

Anyone who went on that Justine thread and joined in, scrolled past the abuse they were firing out towards me is part of the problem.

They are clearly guilty by association.

The third screenshot shows the one poster who "challenged" the comment.

Anyone and everyone who posted on that thread is guilty. Every comment, joining in, goading, guilty.

Their stupidity has allowed HQ and the rest of us figure out which MNers belong to which username on the site.
I really wish I could come face-to-face with just one of them.

You’re right. I meant ignored from then on, as some did seem to do.

However, a mass exodus from the thread would have been a powerful act. As it was, only one person chided him.

Mumschat, a racist site, has been taken down.

That's interesting for a chat-site started by another chat-site which allowed racism to run wild. if I am not wrong, I think it was started by the same groups as the website which broke the Instamum scandal.

they created mum chat because they wanted it to have the same racist vile as the other one. I checked it out in the beginning and it had most of Justine and Meghan's threads running and how mn was going downhill and the £5 payment which was being requested.

they can't even go to Netmums.

I'm on Tattle but I tend to loiter in the Food and Drink thread which is nice and friendly. I like that it is, quite small and supportive.

I wouldn't go near the H&M thread as I know, without looking that it would annoy me.
