Hello everyone!

I had a dream that they were trying to induce me at 27 weeks and DH and I were desperately trying to tell them that it was far too early, very odd!

cazem that doesn't sound much fun, I hope it works out well in the end.

I'm off out today, it's gorgeously sunny, happy Friday!

vix206 · 23/04/2010 09:41

Hey girls, you know the maternity notes that you are supposed to carry with you everywhere yo go and not let out of your sight? Well, I seem to have lost mine.

Have hunted high and low and they aren't anywhere, am panicking

CherryPie3 · 23/04/2010 10:12

Hello

How is everyone this super Friday? It's really cloudy here but I don't mind so much cos it's still lovely and warm...(and I'm at work so can't enjoy it anyway).
Working tomorrow too - boo!!

Cramps all gone today - woohoo!! Went to see mw yesterday and not sure whether I'm reassured or not to be honest. She basically said that because my uterus has already been stimulated by the water infection, that I'm more prone to it happening again and more at risk of going into early labour. She said that if I did then they would put me on a drip to try and stop it, as long as there was time . Stay put baby, please. Not ready for you yet...

Neenz Great bargain with the swimsuit!!

Looby Hope you'e being careful with the ladder climbing hun.

Marzi Poor you - UTI's are no fun!! Hope you feel better soon!!

Lizzie at the pregnancy walk - is it the one where you sway slightly to each side when walking?? Cos thats what I do too

CazEm Really hope your dh gets the treatment he needs soon!! Horrible when you have to wait for tests/results.

Bubba Seriously impressed with your ability to stay awake past 10 o'clock!! If I'm not in bed by 9pm - I'm asleep on the sofa instead

Vix Could you have left them at work or something? Don't worry - they'll turn up. I lost mine loads with dd. I'm sure yours will reappear soon!!
How are you feeling? Have the cramps gone?

Right - better go so some work....

vix206 · 23/04/2010 10:22

Cherry I'm at the office and we've looked here, it isn't here either. Last time I had them my MIL was flicking through them and I was thinking 'PUT THEM DOWN! THEY'RE PRIVATE!!'

I can't remember what happened to them after that, I may have rammed them down her throat and blocked all memory of it....

With the house on the market stuff is getting shoved in all kinds of strange places before viewings so will have another search tonight..

vix206 · 23/04/2010 10:22

Ooh and Cherry i forgot the most important bit, great news your cramps have gone!! Mine too And no heartburn either

CherryPie3 · 23/04/2010 10:48

Hmmmm, thats a tricky one....(getting visions os regurgitated ante-natal notes )

I'm confident that you'll find them. It must be stressful having a house on the market whilst pregnant - sooooooo much stuff to do!!!

Fantastic news about your cramps!!!!!!

OP posts:
Chulita · 23/04/2010 11:17

vix it might be worth letting your MW know that you're not quite sure where you put them so she can get another set together (obv minus what's been added already) just in case. They will turn up somewhere, sometime just hopefully soon for your sake. If nothing else they'll pop up as and when you move!

soontobefatnat · 23/04/2010 11:27

Morning! Cherry glad to hear cramps have disappeared. Try not to worry too much - let's keep our fingers crossed that baby stays put right to the end.

Caz fingers crossed for you too.

Had my scan at nine this morning - baby very well, all the bits present and correct. Even saw his mouth moving - had it wide open at one point. So cute! And isn't a massive baby either - DH is 6'6 and was over 10lbs. Makes me nervous!!

Anyway, it's a boy, so if you're feeling up to it Cherry, could you update the list??

Chulita · 23/04/2010 11:45

congrats on your good scan news soontobe

marzipananimal · 23/04/2010 12:10

that's great nat. My DH was a 10lb baby too - although he's not that big now - just average height and build. I'm really hoping our baby takes after me not him in that respect! (I was a sensible 7lb 11oz).

Been to the doctor and had to wee in the smallest pot ever! (think diameter of a 1p coin - clearly not designed for women!) Although my UTI symptoms seem to have cleared up - must be the gallons of squash I drank yesterday. I'm just going to keep an eye on things over the weekend and wait for the test results on mon/tues.

CherryPie3 · 23/04/2010 12:11

Looks as that's us all through the 20 week scan hoop - congrats on your healthy wee boys, Nat and good news that the cramps have stopped, ladies...(still have money on Cherry for first baby..)

Any virtual hangovers from your sesh last night? I'm going to pick up some Beck's Blue later on as I could easily fall off the lady petrol wagon. There's a decent bottle of white chilling in my fridge just giving me the eye..

Have finally pressed send on my final consultancy work so that's me on maternity leave (technically Jobseeker's Allowance then MA in 4 weeks time). Hurrah - hope most of you can join me soon, its a great feeling! Cakes all round I think. However, I've been awake since 4.30am, up since 6am and was feeling very yummy mummy & dynamic at 8am but having done the ironing and lots of household admin, I'm nowing feeling pooped and wondering if I can justify a quick hour in bed with a book and a warm almond croissant.

CherryPie3 · 23/04/2010 13:55

Hi there weehector, how are you?

I shall be starting my maternity leave (well...holidays first but hey) 7 weeks today

CANNOT WAIT!!!!

On the subject of alcohol - I've been really really wanting a shandy lately. It'll be fine won't it? I'm hardly going to go get completely rat-arsed am I?

Failing that - theres a lovely bottle of white in my fridge also thats been there since a few days before my BFP!!
Can't believe it's survived that long - makes it almost vintage in my house!!
(I don't drink that much at all, but on the rare occasion that I do purchase a bottle, it doesn't usually survive the weekend

Hi there - am new to this but would love to join the list of August expecters: mine's due on the 1st but am betting it'll hang about a few days like my three DDs did.
Haven't found out sex.. just wish i could somehow fast-forward the whole thing.
btw has anyone else got freakish new freckles on their faces? i look like a fake-tan accident..

mrsZaC · 23/04/2010 14:18

Hey! YEY friday - at last!

Wow so strange about all that talk of beer, i was totally craving one yesterday! think if I'd had enough energy I would have gone to the shop to get some becks blue!

cherry glad your feeling better today darlin

congrats on your boy nat!

Swimsuit, can't remember who mentioned that, but I got one direct from speedo, £30 good quality and I couldn't really find one much cheaper than that (tried mothercare but always out of my size).

Caz hope your ok with yout ticker trouble, I get really bad palpitations, particularly at night so can only imagine what thats like with an irregular h/b. I'm sure you'll be dandy though, our bodies are made to do amazing things

mrsZaC · 23/04/2010 14:21

hellobumbling & welcome, I have patches on my face round my eyes that I usually get when I'm in the sun and lots of freckles which I usually get in the sun too.

Forgot to say, just off to see the physio, can't wait, really struggling with sore muscles at the moment, mainly at work and during the night so hope this will offer some relief!

x

CherryPie3 · 23/04/2010 14:25

Thanks MrsZaC, definitely on the mend now. Gonna try to enjoy the pregnancy now cos I really don't how long of it there is to go - does that make sense?
Feel like I've gone into overdrive a little trying to get things done, or at least organise them to get done soon.

Like a dog chasing it's tail - I'll never flipping catch it!!!

Welcome to the thread bumbling I've added you to the list. Congratulations on your pregnancy

As for freckles - I don't have any on my face, but I do seem to have gained freckles on my belly/bump. They look like birthmarks but definitely weren't there 26 weeks ago!!!
I also have a line going from bellybutton downwards....

Does anyone else have a line?

Welcome bumbling - you're not my sister are you? She's due on aug 1 with her fourth

Chulita, was it you who said you were training to be a peer BFing supporter? Can I ask which course you are doing, what it involves and what that qualifies you to do afterwards? Thanks!

soontobefatnat · 23/04/2010 16:41

Wow, was I really the last scan?? What a laggard!

Feeling a bit coldy today so going to enjoy a nap now and enjoy the sunshine over the weekend. Becks Blue in the fridge for celebration later!

Have a lovely weekend all!

CazEM · 23/04/2010 16:45

Hi Ladies! The weekend is here!!! Going back to work later on though for a quiz night with DH (adults only fundraiser for the school!)

Thanks MrsZaC - everything is fine, doesn't even cross my mind most of the time, and hadn't considered labour with it before this week. I suppose I am now because labour is skipping closer and closer! Can't believe there is only 15 weeks to go!!! Anyway sure consultant will answer questions when I seem them in a few weeks!

Welcome bumbling - Aug 1st is a good day to e due! My 1st wedding anniversary!

Glad to hear cramps have gone Vix and Cherry - hope you find your notes as well Vix

Congrats on your little boy Nat

Right I think I'm gunna go fit in an hours nap before getting ready for quiz night! Although saying that I've just eaten some chocolate and drank some coke so I can only imagine how wriggly baby will be in a little bit and will probably end up having a waking nap! Haha!

weehector · 23/04/2010 16:57

He Cherry doing good thanks, being reading thread on iPhone but not posting becuase of the monster work days.

Welcome Bumbling.

That was the Queen of afternoon naps...3 solid hours. The almond crossiant was actually, crusty bread with cheese & tomato, a gallon of fresh OJ, an almond croissant, an apple and a Ripple. Oink!

Anyway, teatime drinkpoos for all at the virtual Weehector Cafe...I have Chablis, a cheeky rose, a spicy Merlot, chilled beers and I've just whipped up a batch of ace old skool Cosmopolitans (lots of lime juice in them). Whaddya all want? Oh and feel free to grab some of the snacks - the brie is super ripe and yes, I did make that pate myself, so glad you like it.

marzipananimal · 23/04/2010 17:13

hi everyone, I've just had a rather traumatic afternoon. (but it's ok - baby is fine). I hadn't felt any movement since first thing this morning (and not much then) despite spending most of the afternoon lying on my bed trying to feel it (and it usually goes for it when I'm lying down). So I rang the ante-natal clinic and they said to come in. I had to go on my own (too far for DH to get back from work) and I couldn't find where I was supposed to go in the hospital so finally burst into tears in front of a nurse who took me to the right place. They found the heart beat straight away and everything seems to be fine but i was so worried! I can't wait til this baby is born - pregnancy is too stressful!

btw cherry i have a faint line on my tummy too

soontobefatnat · 23/04/2010 17:58

Oh Marzipan - sorry you had a stressful day. It can be soo nerve racking when stuff you get used to. Hopefully baby will keep jumping around all weekend to keep up for it!

Emster30 · 23/04/2010 18:48

How stressfulmarzipan - poor you!

Happy Friday all! I have got home to find my DH has for some reason finished work early, cleaned the house and gone to Sainsbury's. Hurrah! He'g cooking dinner too. And it's Glass of Wine of the Week night too!
