Hello everyone! Welcome to the second thread! Hope you are happy enough that I've gone ahead with this title! If not, I won't be mortally offended if you ditch it and start again!

Here is the list - hope it is more or less up-to-date. Apologies if you're missing, please add yourself on. Pogue - we don't have you on here. Scared - are you still around? Perhaps you've moved to the May thread. Let us know how you're doing.

filly and gizmo, have to heartily agree re. the miserable experience that shopping becomes when PG. I will now have a vacuous and self-centred whinge. Apologies in advance.

I used to take great pride in my appearance, even when PG with DD1. To be quite honest, I don't think I ever truly recovered my fashion sense since giving birth DD1 in Nov 08. I have become increasingly uncool. I was BF for 12 months so dresses + leggings(which were my staple) were out of the question. Since then, despite Conde Nast continuing to take my annual subscription to Vogue magazine, I have been in what can only be described as the Fashion Wilderness...

I am now at that awkward stage where I simply look quite fat and am feeling 100% frump-city.
Oh dear - snap out of it woman. OK - so Mat. clothes mainly make you feel pretty poo, until you have a proper bump. Then it all sort of takes shape.

Right - whinge over.
gizmo glad to hear you writing down how you've been feeling has helped you a little.

Hello LaTrucha ! you have same due date as me. I only joined last week so you're not that late. Hope the sickness is starting to improve? It is awful that stage .

CantSleepWontSleep · 04/01/2010 22:05

Can I just do a blanket sympathetic post to all those feeling down at the moment, as I only have time for a quickie after reading the sudden flurry of posts!

Not a lot to report here - just plodding on as usual. Last day of school hols tomorrow for dd.

madamefreckle · 04/01/2010 23:34

Happy New Year to you!

May 2010 be a blossoming, bright beacon of brilliance for babies, budgets, buddies, bellies, boobs, banter... and everything else beginning with b and every other letter of the alphabet!

For those who've had a crappy start to the year - it must and will get better. Mampam, hope you're ok - don't think i can add anything more than the super advice and sympathy of others on here. Everytime i come on here, I read what others have written and i'm in awe of the sensible, sensitive advice and comments. I was brought up in a family where showing your feelings and sympathising with others was really not done at all so i struggle with it but [bring out the violins] i really think that mumsnet has made me a better person.

Also want to welcome all you late-comers! My, there're so many of us. I can't wait for June when they all start popping out all over the place!

Hello Ladies and Happy New Year. I've been truly awful at keeping up, never mind posting on this thread, so hope everyone is well. Hello to La Trucha and MonkeyMargot - we share the same due date

All good here, although bump has definitely popped much sooner than last time...although that could be down to the amount of chocolate/cheese/cake/crisps/anything remotely unhealthy, that I've been eating over the last few weeks. Combined with the fact I've not been able to keep up running over the last couple of weeks due to the weather, it is most definitely starting to show!

bluesnowfalcon · 05/01/2010 09:05

Hi all I've got an unexpected day off because it is snowing in cornwall! School is shut so I haven't got to go to work which is a pleasant surprise although would love to have known earlier as I still got up at half 5 to get ready when I now know that I could've stayed in bed! Ihave been up and put joggers on and changed out of work clothes in to slummin it stuff!

Hope everyone else is having a good day - take care all

greensnail · 05/01/2010 09:43

I'm so tired this morning, i feel like climbing back into bed. Had been planning on taking DD to the children's centre this morning as we both could do with some social interaction, but not sure i can be bothered now. Will see how we feel after her nap.

Hope everyone else is feeling ok today. Enjoy your day off bluesnowfalcon

bluesnowfalcon · 05/01/2010 09:54

How far are you greensnail? Think my tiredness has passed over now but kinda waiting til I get back to work for real morra to see if its really gone or just eased cos of xmas holidays x

greensnail · 05/01/2010 09:58

I think i'm 18 weeks tomorrow. I thought tiredness had passed too, think this is just a delayed reaction to the night shifts I worked at the weekend. I felt great yesterday so probably did too much and am paying for it today.

bluesnowfalcon · 05/01/2010 10:01

Well you should take it easy then

Hope you feel better after a rest x

greensnail · 05/01/2010 10:08

Thanks. Don't know why I'm so hard on myself when i feel tired. I'm pregnant, breastfeeding and working nights, of course i'm bloody tired!

bluesnowfalcon · 05/01/2010 10:15

Even not pregnant you'd be tired! My dad works nights and it takes him days to recover each time he does a four night shift. Try to have an easy day hon and look after yourself, why not have a hot chocolate and cosy up with your little one in front of the tv for a while x

greensnail · 05/01/2010 10:45

Thanks, sounds like she's just waking up from her nap, so think we'll snuggle up and watch In the Night Garden!

gizmo · 05/01/2010 12:26

Greensnail, Bluesnowfalcon, it's true, isn't it? It's not just that we expect to be pregnant and for it to have no effect on our bodies, but that somehow when we're pregnant we can take on loads more and of course we'll feel fine .

TBH, I don't mind being knackered if I know it's because I've achieved something and that I will shortly get some reliable rest, but you do have to remember to take it!

Thanks for everyone's thoughts last night. Our internet died so I wasn't able to respond. I eventually had a big meltdown with DH who was very sweet and very nonplussed, because I wasn't making much sense. There's a lot more to unpack before things get back on an even keel (making sure this baby is alive would probably be helpful for a start ) but I've opened up the conversation and it already feels much better.

wheredidmyfeetgo · 05/01/2010 12:44

Hi I'm a little late joining, have been lurking on MN for a while but only posted for the first time last night so I'm feeling a litte more brave now!
I'm 31 and pregnant with DC no 3 due 28/06/09.

Hope people are enjoying their unexpected day off in the snow. I'm at work (shattered as DS1 was unusually up in the night)but would love to be at home. The snow is expected to hit us tonight at 6pm. And typically it's my non working day tomorrow (I work 5 days in 4) not that I would be able to use the excuse of snow for not being able to get in as I'm a 10 min walk from my office!

greensnail · 05/01/2010 13:49

Welcome wheredidmyfeetgo Gizmo glad to hear you're feeling a bit better. When's your next midwife appointment? Hope you don't have too long to wait to get some reassurance (and would be ringing midwife to get seen sooner if you do have a bit of a wait).

I'm seeing midwife tomorrow afternoon which i'm looking forward to as, although i seem to have had millions of hospital appointments, i haven't yet heard the heartbeat.

I'm feeling much better for surrendering to my tiredness, much better than trying to fight it!

bluesnowfalcon · 05/01/2010 15:38

greensnail good to hear you are feeling better! Good luck with the midwife appointment morra

Gizmo hope you get some reassurance soon x

wheredidmyfeetgo where are you - think we will get more snow in cornwall tonight and then it is meant to freeze over night as well so not sure I'll be going to work morra either!

GinaFB · 05/01/2010 16:12

Hello everyone hope those that feel poorly are feeling better and everone had a lovely Christmas and NYE!

I had a great time with family, I didn't feel sick, I was a lot less tired, skin and hair healthy and looking good...... i now have swine flu and look like hell.... as well as worrying about bump...

My Dp picked up some relenza for me this morning as I am hoping that things will get sorted quickly.

Sorry to moan! Love to all June bumps x

bluesnowfalcon · 05/01/2010 16:16

Hope you get better soon GinaFB

wheredidmyfeetgo · 05/01/2010 16:28

Poor GinaFB, I hope you feel better soon.

Bluesnowfalcon I'm in Wiltshire, snow already started but has stopped now though. But more forecast tonight and tomorrow. Not looking forward to skating home tonight as the ground has been frozen for days!

greensnail · 05/01/2010 19:30

Hope you have a speedy recovery GinaFB

LaTrucha · 05/01/2010 20:11

Thanks for your welcome. I'll just have a hunt for the list and put myself on it.

GinaFB - I hope you feel better soon. I'm sure bump will be fine.

Bluesnowfalcon - enjoy your day off. I used to be a teacher and loved snow days. I just didn't like to have to be up getting ready while they announced lists of school closures on the radio.

Greensnail - it sounds like you have your work cut out for you. I'm tired just looking after DD and she's no longer bf.

I have officially been four days without being sick. Yay! I really didn't think it would pass. Last time I was sick all the way through with hyperemesis - I was even vomiting on the operating table as I had em c-sec. I can't believe how much better this pregnancy is, even though I felt awful for 8 weeks.

Off to find the list.

HanJuneBaby · 05/01/2010 20:27

Hi, I'm new to this....due end of June (15 weeks)
and just saying hi.
Anyone live around North London (N8/N10)??

GibberingGinger · 05/01/2010 20:32

Looking at the list there must be another bunch of scans coming up. Very exciting.

Not much news to add here. Just finished eating a kitkat and 3 mini toblerones. MUST stop eating so much chocolate. I'll end up the size of a house.

Sorry to hear so many are sick/stressed/anxious. Hope things improve soon

GibberingGinger · 05/01/2010 20:36

If anyone wants to add anything to the list and is not sure how - on a PC I normally highlight the whole list, then right click and scroll down to copy, then go to the box at the bottom of the page and right click and scroll to paste. I've no idea how you do it on a mac
