Hello everyone! Welcome to the second thread! Hope you are happy enough that I've gone ahead with this title! If not, I won't be mortally offended if you ditch it and start again!

MillyMollyMoo · 20/12/2009 14:29

Just realised my due date isn't on the list 15th June

I just want Christmas out the way now so we can go on our little holiday, cannot wait to warm my bump up and not have to wear uncomfortable clothes.
Anyone else not get on with under the bump jeans but too small for over the bump ?

fillybuster · 20/12/2009 14:48

Well ladies, I am now officially a whole year older, although not feeling much wiser ...had a lovely birthday yesterday (spoilt rotten by dh and the dcs and lots of lovely pressies and cards) and having a 'proper' adult party in the house tonight...very excited although slightly scared of being a billy-no-mates due to icy roads and lack of babysitters...!! Better get back to making the huge stacks of party food still left....hurrah for the dcs sleeping at mils tonight but boo for dh not being able to book the morning off work so still having to get up early. I intend to laze in bed with the papers/cups of tea then perhaps go to the gym to work off some of the mince pies before the dcs come home

Milly - I like the top shop and next mat jeans as lots of them have proper belt loops all the way round...at this weird in-between stage I find I need something to hold them up regardless of being under or over. Must admit, I don't really like the proper 'over' style, but the ones with a stretchy band right around, or around the front (not just the pockets) are great for later one as well as early stages.

MillyMollyMoo · 20/12/2009 15:14

Happy Birthday for yesterday Filly !

Am at you going to the gym, I was just about to start up again and started bleeding again, they don't know why so I'm frightened to over do it now ie get up off the sofa

RnB · 20/12/2009 15:27

Happy birthday Filly!

Katelele I had the same problem with H&M jeans.. They are VERY small, don't worry. I know I havent put on any weight so was a bit

GibberingGinger · 20/12/2009 19:04

Happy birthday filybuster. Hope yo have a great party.

I bought a top from H&M last time round and it was too small really quickly. Shame as it was a nice top.

Only two days of work left. NOt that I'm counting or anything!

greensnail · 20/12/2009 20:17

Happy birthday Filly, hope you're enjoying your party.

I'm really excited that i've started feeling a few flutters this weekend. Finally starting to actually feel pregnant which is great. Told a couple of people at work this weekend, but must pluck up the courage to ring my boss and tell her so I can make the official announcement. Am hugely emotional at the moment which is proving to be very inconvenient, really need to get control of myself.

mampam · 20/12/2009 22:08

MillyMollyMoo, hope everything is ok with you?

Happy Birthday Filly Greensnail I've been feeling little flutters too, mainly when I really need a wee and it feels like something is gently tapping on my bladder!

My blood pressure usually seems to be 140/90. Wouldn't be that worried about my 90/60 if it weren't for MW saying "gosh your BP is low, if you weren't pregnant we'd be resuscitating you". I have been lying awake at night wondering if I fall asleep whether or not I'll wake up in the morning!! (I do tend to think about things too much though . I just wish the MW hadn't have said that!!

Saucepanman · 20/12/2009 22:33

Hello all, lots to catch up on!

Am off to hospital tomorrow for afp bloods, and hopefully to persuade them to give me the once over- BP, listen to baby etc. As I have total hospital care, and the added complication of living in a different area to my GP's surgery, I don't get seen by community midwives. Think I should at least have my BP done!

Had a slight scare last week, went to the toilet, wiped and there was blood- but apparently I have a spot "down there"

Hope you are all ok

greensnail · 21/12/2009 09:11

mampam what a stupid thing for the midwife to say. Really, really don't worry about your low bp.

millymollymoo hope bleeding has stopped and all is well.

saucepanman hope you manage to get checked out at the hospital today. I'm supposed to see community midwives as well as be seen at the hospital, but have been struggling to fit in all the appointments . I at least get bp, urine etc checked at hospital, but haven't managed to persuade anyone to listen to the baby yet.

Really must phone the surgery today as need to book DD's immunisations as well as my midwife appointment and probably a swine flu jab for me too.

MillyMollyMoo · 21/12/2009 12:39

mampam My blood pressure is always low too have you been advised not to have an epidural because of it - I had one with my first and ended up in resus - never again.

The bleeding seems to just come and go, am trying to ignore it but it's a worry, baby looks fine though and the placenta is in the right place.

RnB · 21/12/2009 13:37

mampam a surgeon once sad to me that those of us with low blood pressure live the longest - so don't worry

minimoonumbertwo · 21/12/2009 14:22

Hi All, just checking in - so much to catch up on - filly happy birthday and mampam glad things are bit better for you guys altho you now have the healthcare system to contend with!

i THINK i can feel flutters but can't be totally sure if it's wind! would so love to feel this baby as it get's a bit ignored - found my pregnancy diary from my ds the other day and was already pretty much half full by this point! Will NOT be showing it to the new baby ever!!

V jealous of you long legged ladies - am still just about coping with non-maternity jeans and just got some nice non-maternity long sleeved grandad tops from H&M which look nice with a maternity vest underneath.

GinaFB · 21/12/2009 15:09

Hello everyone hope you are all well and looking forward to Christmas!

mampam The last time I went I was told my blood pressure was very high from the results that the Dr had taken and then when the MW took it said it was low... I guess its just another thing to keep an eye on!

Had results of the Downs testing today - Low risk at 1:1656 so that is good to know, I know its not a NO chance but its reassuring never the less!

My work colleague told me today that I had "lost my bum". Unsure what that meant! (if anyone finds it please can I have it back)

CantSleepWontSleep · 21/12/2009 22:22

Ah, I have found your bum Gina. It is hiding behind me!

Saw diabetes midwife today and got all the stuff to start my home blood tests. Have to do them 4 times a day every day. Lovely. She couldn't find the heartbeat yet, but only tried reluctantly because I had dd with me and though that she would find it exciting to hear. Still, 3 weeks til next appointment, so she should be able to find it then.

Went looking at new cars today. Those of you with 3 or 4 dc already, what do you drive and do you like it? Am particularly considering a Landrover Discovery, Volvo XC90 or a Citroen C4 Grand Picasso.

Hope everyone is feeling ready for Christmas.

mampam · 22/12/2009 06:32

Bloody Hell MillyMollyMoo I'll probably have to have a c-section so am going to have a spinal. That's got me worried now (you may have noticed I worry about everything!!) When I go for next scan, January 13th, I've got an appointment with the consultant as MW wanted me to have consultant led care as I have such HUGE babies.(9lb 4oz and 10lb 14oz!!)

Glad your feeling a bit better about the bleeding and that all is well with baby .

Gina there's no chance of me losing my bum because it was enormous to start off with!!

DH doing much better. He has his ups and downs and when he's really feeling a bit crappy he takes half a tablet (as suggested by GP) to take the edge off it, don't know what's gonna happen when the Diazapam runs out? With the counselling looking like it's going to be in the distant future I really think that he's going to have to go back to GP and consider AD's. Don't wanna put too much pressure on him though. Will see how he feels in the new year.

greensnail · 22/12/2009 09:40

mampam great to hear DH is feeling much better. If he's still needing to use the diazepam on a fairly regular basis, it might be worth him considering AD's sooner rather than later as they take about 3 weeks before he'll feel any benefit. Obviously you don't want to put too much pressure on him at the moment, but just something for you to consider after christmas. I'm sure you've done this but make sure you've got plenty of diazepam to last over the xmas break, the last thing you need is to be running out when the surgery's closed.

I'm having a strange day so far and have just realised i have my knickers on back to front, how could i not have noticed that earler? Does baby brain get worse with each pregnancy do you think?

RnB · 22/12/2009 10:41

Sorry to hear about your GD CSWS what a pain

Hope your dh is feeling a bit better mampam

I went to the doctors today - I have been feeling really breathless - especially at night time. I don't feel ill though. Doctor thinks I'm anaemic, my pulse rate is on the high side which could be an indication that my heart having to beat faster to get enough iron around my body.

I've been eating really healthily and everything .

GinaFB · 22/12/2009 11:02

greensnail I do that on a regular basis!!

mampam I am on AD's and have been for the last 6 months. it has been advised that I continue to take them because of the increased risk of PND. I know that in the long term the AD's aren't the answer but they will help to make things more stable and you will both find it easier to cope. It will take a few weeks to "kick in" so worth discussing with the GP. xx

minimoonumbertwo · 22/12/2009 12:58

oh no rnb what a pain - can you just take supplements or is it more complicated than that??

greensnail my ds had his jogging bottoms on back to front all morning (i dress him) and i had no idea - must have looked a right wally.

okay dh said to me at the weekend my bum had "gone square". Nice.

fillybuster · 22/12/2009 14:25

just checking in to wave hello and let you know i survived the party...just! actually, it was lots of fun and not really drinking (just waving random glasses of fizzy stuff around, occasionally sipping them, them leaving them lying around) worked surprisingly well - i particularly enjoyed not having a hangover the next day

mampam -10lbs 14oz???? i am in awe....i thought ds was big at 8lbs 11oz! eek...

sorry, utterly brain dead so can't remember anything else from the thread even tho i read everything...off to interview new nanny as ours is well past her best-before date and we need to get this sorted urgently before #3 arrives....

hope you're all suriving the run-up to xmas

MonkeyMargot · 22/12/2009 20:28

Hi ladies! Just joining your thread having had my date confirmed at the scan yesterday -30th June so I just scrape in!

Had a massive shock when the sonographer told us we are expecting twins!!! Our DD1 is 13 months old, so will be 19 months when the terrible twosome are born. We have (almost) stopped reeling with shock, and are very happy!
I've noticed the nausea and chronic fatigue are improving too now I'm almost 13 weeks. How is everyone feeling?
