PinkArjuna · 27/06/2005 11:54

My Camera packed up with all my newborn baby photo's I haven't opened the back so I'll take it and see if they can save them I'm so gutted

LipstickMum · 27/06/2005 12:37

Hi everyone

Oh Mog, I am still here too

Last night I was feeling so sick though, my god! I was in bed by 830, wondering if something was going to start. It didn't! Poor dp was very excited though that it could be the beginning of something and I think was very disappointed not to be woken in the middle of the night to go to hospital

Well, I made the fatal mistake of buying a multipack of Walkers s&v yesterday. Sunday was fine, I had my usual 2 pack quota. But today I've eaten the remaining 4 bags sitting here! Still, at least there are no more in the house and that's that!!!!

It's gorgeous here again today and despute being 'overdue', the day itself is going great!! Washing is hanging on the line. The Mothercare delivery I thought I might have to wait in all day for arrived at 930, with a courtesy call 10 minutes beforehand, as promised Which meant we made it to our music group this morning, dd is tired and will sleeo and be in a good mood for our play date at her friends place this afternoon. Brilliant. And I also got a tax rebate

How is everyone else??

Pink, gutted about your photo's What's up with the camera? Sure it's not the batteries? Sorry to sound condescending lol but you never know! Don't open the back whatever you do if it's mid-film a good photo place may be able to salvage them.

I think we are close to finding a name

tribpot · 27/06/2005 12:38

Just a quicky to send good thoughts to all the antenatal Junies - I think the chart is up-to-date, but please let me know if anyone is missing!

our baby stats

MrsF - all the best for today!

mogwai · 27/06/2005 13:22

Hi All

Oh poor Lippy! I must admit I was feeling slightly "left behind" but I was really excited for you thinking you had gone into labour. I think four packets of crisps is restrained. I've had TEN icepops tee hee

Roseberry - Yup, I'll challenge you to that!

LipstickMum · 27/06/2005 13:39

Hi everyone

Birth announcement from Charleypops

Charley gave birth to their little son, Arlo, last Wednesday morning (22nd) at 930am, he weighed 6lbs 8 oz

He was sent to scbu on that day. I heard from Charley again the following day. She tried to deliver him naturally but he wasn't descending after 3 hours of pushing. Charley had a spinal block and ventouse to deliver him. When he was born, Arlo had difficulty breathing and was sent to scbu, where he had a fit and then several more fits. At which point Charley and DaddyCharley very worried

That was Thursday, and then I didn't hear from her for a couple of days and I was worrying as well!! Yesterday I got another message to say Arlo was doing much better He's on an anti-convulsant which makes him very sleepy, but hadn't fitted since Thursday night. He also had had an eeg, the results of which 'verbally' were no noticeable abnormalities. He's eating really well (formula) and Charley is also expressing some for him.

So, as of yesterday, he was still in scbu but off drips and out of incubator, now on a breathing monitor.

Sounds like things are getting better for them all, but at the end of last week, it was all a bit worrying

Charley's missing MN and all our wise words and support and sends her love to all of you. I assume she's still resting in hospital too, I've just been txting her.

I'll keep you posted as and when I hear from her, until she can post herself. Sorry I didn't post last week, I wasn't sure if she would want me to and also the news was a bit hazy.

I bet she can't wait to join you all on the post-natal thread

Lua · 27/06/2005 13:47

Lippy, Thanks for letting us know, and if you have the chance send lots of hugs and love to the Charley family. They must have all been so worried! Welcome little Arlo!

eastyorksmum · 27/06/2005 14:28

Awww bless send charley lots of love of of course to her little baby. Its lovely to hear things are getting better xxxxxxx

The community MWS wrang apparently mine has a day off today i really wanted to chat with her. Never mind still feeling the same might go for a walk catxh u all later xxxxxx

RoseBerry · 27/06/2005 15:33

Ok, Mog, let's go with misery. I will give you my swollen feet, one more swollen than the other, with no ankles and two toes (one big toe and the rest morphed together). The only shoes I can wear are my thong sandals, which the other day when I was down the town and it was lashing was real fun trying not to slip and fall on the slick bricks (remember, baby is now fully engaged).

I'll start easy on ya with just that.

tribpot · 27/06/2005 15:54

Congratulations to Charley!

Thanks for letting us know, Lippy, I was worried that it had been so long since we had heard from her. Fingers crossed that all will be well with little Arlo.

updated baby stats

mogwai · 27/06/2005 16:06

okey dokey Roseberry

I have piles. It hurts when I sit down. Makes my face do this

starter for twenty....

RoseBerry · 27/06/2005 16:20

No fair, Mog, bringing out the piles this early! I think piles pretty much trumps all. Damn you miserable cow!

All I had for my chips were my blocked head, loss of neck (didn't even bother collecting a double chin), wax that streams out of my ears, the most unpleasant wafts of wind you can imagine at the most unexpected of times, and a few other various bits and bobs that on the face of it don't really sound that miserable but put them all together plus the prodromal labor and you got one miserable mama here.

But - knock on wood - this time round no piles (yet), and the heartburn could be a lot worse.

mogwai · 27/06/2005 16:33

I expect them to be worse afterwards

RoseBerry · 27/06/2005 16:38

If they are going to be anything like what I remember, why on earth did I agree to do this again!

mogwai · 27/06/2005 17:08

Because you are fond of putting cream on your bottom and shoving the delightful things back where they belong???

uwila · 27/06/2005 17:26

cogratulations Charley. I too was getting a bit worried by the silence, sounds like it's getting better. Sorry for the rough start.

Let me know if you want visitors.

berolina · 27/06/2005 17:33

Congrats to Charley, so glad things are getting better

bubbaloo · 27/06/2005 19:08

eastyorksmum · 27/06/2005 22:20

teabelly · 27/06/2005 22:29

Congratulations Charley and Mr Charley, and welcome to Arlo...so not Pod then! Bless him bit of a rough start there, but very glad to hear things are starting to improve now Hope you are all home soon.

Pink - gutted about the photos...hope you were able to save them...was anyone else with you when ds arrived...maybe they have photo's too??

MrsWednesday · 27/06/2005 22:46

What a worrying time for Charleypops and her DP. Congratulations for the birth of Arlo (fab name), so pleased things seem to be improving - hope he's home very soon.

I hope you pregnant ladies aren't suffering too much in the heat. Even if you are feeling miserable you are still managing to be funny. I've been reading and chuckling every day

Good luck MrsF, hopefully you've got your baby in your arms by now.

Good to see you again Jezebel and East Yorks mum.
