cantmummyhaveabreak · 14/09/2009 09:44

told Dh that i've been sick and he's gone and booked an app to see the GP about the snip- but dont know how thats gonna help if i'm PG... strangely enough i'm not sure how i 'feel', ie PG or not PG... but i still feel very nauseous now... I know Dh would want to consider termination but i couldn't ever do that... but at the same time a fourth really would F* things up big time!! for one the house isn't big enough for 4 kids, and we can't afford to extend or move for a good few years, would be a big struggle buying a bigger car, would be hell being PG with ruby still being so small & young... aswell as the other 2.... basically it would just mess everything up- but i could never kill my baby!!

bodenaddict · 14/09/2009 09:55

hi cant - the school stagers the young ones starting cause dd1 has only just turned 4 on 29th of aug kids are set out into 3 groups depending when they were born

Sparklytwinkletoes · 14/09/2009 09:59

Morning guys, sorry I haven't been around for a few days, been tied up with DS and simply haven't had any opportunities to get online.

I haven't read up or anything, but I need advice, which I know is really cheeky but hope you'll be able to advise...

I'm 36+6 today, since yesterday I've been having quite 'regular' braxtons, which I know is normal, but they're making me feel quite light headed - should this make me concerned at all? I've had a great big bowl of shreddies and a milky drink for breakfast, and I ate well yesterday, when it was happening too, so don't think its that...

Cheers guys, x

cantmummyhaveabreak · 14/09/2009 10:00

erm.... possibly about 50/50 really... i mean we've not been as careful as we could have been, but have been fairly careful... but then these 'syptoms' feel just the same as when i have been PG...

cantmummyhaveabreak · 14/09/2009 10:04

STT- i had a few that made me feel like that with DD2... i think it may have been that they were pretty darn painful... but i never looked into it... so can't be of much help really.

Sparklytwinkletoes · 14/09/2009 10:05

Crikey - Kooky, congrats! Hope itrs all going well

Can't! What are you like?! Where are you in your cycle? How soon can you check (and rely on accurate answer?) I can imagine it must all be a bit scary. Have to laugh at DH finally booking the appt though!

cantmummyhaveabreak · 14/09/2009 10:09

I think i'm about day 24-26 of a 28day (normally) cycle... but i honestly can't be certain... i think i'm due on any day you see... in fact i'm almost certain i mornally have a week of being preiod-free before our payday, as it works out nicely for a shopping trip on payday without needing to take 'stuff' with me!!

Diege · 14/09/2009 10:14

Hi SKK! Had those sorts of bh with dd3 - all totally normal, though if you're feeling really unwell (as opposed to 'just' being in pain with them) I would give your mw a ring
CANT, you know you would cope don't you..I did have to chuckle at your ds booking that appointment though. Would you be a teeny bit disappointed if you weren't pregnant d'you think? Totally understand where you're coming from with practical problems with getting pregnant again so soon, it would be hard. BTW, did you discuss the surragacy thing with your friend? (to throw another spanner in the works!)
BODEN, that's a good idea your school has about staggered starts. Do they stay in age appropriate groups? I remember how hard dd1 found it being the youngest in her class, compared to those who turned 5 the week they started school.

cantmummyhaveabreak · 14/09/2009 10:19

Diege- i mean yes it wouldn't kill us to have a 4th, BUt practically it would, and financially it would cripple us... we're just right now with 3, and can see a bright future ahead of us as a family of 5.... if i was pregnant i'd be really really gutted!!

Plus on the surrogacy front she was supposed to be coming tomorrow, but as i have to stay with DD1 for her 1st hour 'visiting' session at nursery and she's coming over from Doncaster she'd have had to arrive after 11.30am, which would waste half our day. So she's coming over a week tomorrow, until i know what's going on with me i'm not going to mention it. I'd feel such a bitch if i got her hopes up then took it away by being stupid enough to get PG myself!!

Sparklytwinkletoes · 14/09/2009 10:24

Well, have just been on the phone to local preg. asses unit and i've to go in for a blood pressure check. I'm sure all is fine and I've just been over-doing it, but don't want to get this far and be blasé about my health! It wouldn't be so bad if I didn't get dizzy and vague with every contraction - I can really feel my heart pounding and feel quite sick...

DH is coming home from work to take me, I feel really guilty about that too, esp. if its all for 'nothing', IYSWIM - he's got loads on at work as well as doing loads at home .

I never felt like this with DS but then I didn't already have DS either

cantmummyhaveabreak · 14/09/2009 10:26

better to be safe though STT!! I'm sure you're Dh would feel the same!!

cantmummyhaveabreak · 14/09/2009 10:31

Right i'm off to go and read some of my book- have decided that while DS is at school i'll take a bit of 'me time' when DD2 sleeps.... so i'm getting back into reading!! Might give me some peace!!

bodenaddict · 14/09/2009 11:12

cant - great idea peace sounds good

sparkly - good luck sure all will b fine

hi diege - in dd1s class there are 15 new ones starting some will be just 4 and some just 5. they also share call with year ones

essenceofSES · 14/09/2009 11:30

Morning!

Can't - fingers crossed AF turns up soon. I'm trying to get back into reading too but it's not easy!

STT - from what the others have said, it's hopefully nothing to worry about but worth getting BP checked.

Diege - really hope you manage to make it to York. I've started my pre-trip washing and piles for packing this morning. We drive up Thurs evening

MMM - nice to see you on here again.

Boden - is DD1 getting excited?

Not such a good night here. Fed O to sleep in bed and put him in his cot but he immediately woke up and started crying in a v distraught way. After 5 mins I brought him into bed where he stayed all night. He still woke up crying 4 times. I'm guessing it was sore gums.

Diege · 14/09/2009 11:37

Hi SES! Sorry for bad night - does sound like O is really suffering with his teeth - and you too with lack of sleep! Am planning on making York, however long it takes me, and will post my timings on wagon FB site so that you know where I am and when to expect me! Did we finalise plans for meeting?
GLASK, let's hope then that af turns up! With the other pregnancies did you feel so sick so early? There again, if your dates aren;t certain you wouldnlt know what 'week' you were in...Will keep everything crossed for you x
STT, hope check-up is ok - don't feel guilty about it!

essenceofSES · 14/09/2009 11:55

No, we never did confirm. Talk of picnic (shame that weather may not be conducive) or Pizza Express. I'll maybe start a discussion on FB so we can confirm and exchange mobile nos.

O as been much better this morning and is now asleep on me after a feed. I'll try and go into town in a bit I think and stock up on nappies etc for our trip.

cantmummyhaveabreak · 14/09/2009 12:01

Diege- I was sick with all 3 pregnancies before i even got my BFP's.... i'll need to get your mobile number too so i can find out if we can meet at the station...

so who's going?

Me (+1 baby)
MMM (+1 baby)
Diege (+1 baby)
Ses (+1 baby & friend?)
IDOB
Kayz (+1 baby?)

are we still going to have a picnic in the grounds of the museum? or are we not going to risk the weather and go somewhere to eat?

Diege · 14/09/2009 12:31

Right, will check train times now for me and post on FB

Diege · 14/09/2009 12:59

Have posted on fb, but it's come up sort of funny looking, without my name?? Pressed the 'reply' button, is that right??

cantmummyhaveabreak · 14/09/2009 13:07

i can read it fine !!

cantmummyhaveabreak · 14/09/2009 13:29

DD2 is a bit upset so i'm off to try and get her a nap- maybe get one myself too if DD1 will behave and play in her room nicely!! roll on weds when i can get a nap in a morning if i need one!!

Diege · 14/09/2009 13:31

That's good! Enjoy your nap!

cantmummyhaveabreak · 14/09/2009 15:56

didn't get a nap, DD2 wouldn't settle until about 10mins before we had to go on the school run, and DD1 wouldn't leave us alone for her to get any peace.

Still feeling a bit sickly here... feel better for eating lunch though!!

Moosy · 14/09/2009 16:09

Right, it's time to catch up! I've been reading everything but haven't had time to post, I read while I'm eating but don't have hands free to type!

Can't - I posted a test to you first class today so you should get it tomorrow, good luck!

Kooky - congratulations on Joe! Sorry you've had a hard start but glad he's home with you now, how are you getting on with the feeding? Do you have to go back to have things 'done' to fix his palate or will it fix itself?

SST - your new techinique sounds like it's working so far, hope it continues to improve, I'll be coming to you for advice in 9 months time when I've had no sleep for 6 months!

STT - Good luck for your check this afternoon, I hope it's nothing to worry about. How are ou getting on with DS's behaviour now? DD2 had a relapse with potty training recently, having been very good for nearly 2 weeks she then started having 7 accidents a day and not trying anymore, I think the novelty had worn off for her. Since then I've resorted to bribery , she gets 1 chocolate chip (the cooking sort!) for doing a wee or poo on the potty/toilet, and she gets 2 if she does it without me telling her too. It took a few days for her to 'get' the connection, but she did improve and we've now been 4 days accident free! Also I've found that asking her if she needs a wee is pointless, she's always says no. Instead I now say "you're going to need to do a wee in a minute" then a few minutes later, if she hasn't taken herself then I say "it's time to do a wee now" and I take her to the potty. Sometimes I have to remind her of the chocolate to get her to co-operate, other times I say "if you do a wee for me then I'll stop pestering you" and we turn it into t a bit of a game, ending with her doing a wee then wagging her finger at me and saying "now you can't stop pestering me". Not sure how we're going to get away from the reliance on chocolate bits but at the moment it's better than having a soggy carpter

Kayz - congratulations on passing your theory, do you have a date in mind for the practical test? Also wow that Dylan's starting to walk already, that's really early!

Diege - before you list everything on ebay, I don't suppose you've got a maternity coat (or anything else warm) in a smallish size have you? I'm really struggling to find anything and I know you're pretty small too and buy lots of clothes . I'm getting quite into X factor this time having never seen the appeal before, although I did notice last night that Simon's got really hairy hands, don't you find them off-putting?!

Ses, sorry I don't have any advice on the sleeping problems, but I hope you have some success soon.

Tink, I can't keep up with your shopping! I just buy things when the DDs have run out of unstained things or the sleeves are getting too short

IDOB - I'm really quite of your 1st timer maternity leave, it sounds lovely! Do you have a syndicate going yet?

Apologies to anyone I've missed and if this has turned in to a bit of an essay, will try to keep up better from now on, honest!
