Hi all
Thanks for your kind words about my blood pressure/protein scares
Lynny - I'm so sorry you're having such a horrible rough time at the moment. Giving birth must be the very last thing you feel like doing. They will be giving you a caesarean won't they rather than inducing you? I'm glad you're resting and you have Lee to keep things ticking over. Make sure you try not to get constipated on top of everything else from all those pain killers (they always have that effect on me).
Bero - sounds like you and the adorable Samuel are being very well looked after. i'm sure he'll be fine in a day or so - I know jaundice is ever so common. How are you feeding him formula by the way? Is he taking it from a bottle or do you have an at-breast supplementer? Hope your nips aren't getting sore. And like Welshie says - you must get as much rest as possible for best milk production.
Lua - poor you! I have an idea of how you must be feeling - It's been mentioned that I might have to be delivered early too by being induced or cs (find out more tomorrow) and it's SO not what I want either. I'd hate to have that decision based putely on the baby's size because as I've seen on this site, they can be so far out with their measurements. I'd be gutted if I'm given an induction/cs date. I think I'd try to be philosophical though. Do you have any choice? Can you find out what your team honestly think about the chances of a successful induction? If it's not great, maybe you could push for a cs, then at least you could be better prepared and not have to go through a painful disappointing labour?
Megi - How exciting! So you couldn't tell you were contracting then?? And what on earth is pre-labour? Good luck!
Sweetheart - hello! Lovely to hear from you, I'm so glad all's going so well for you. Fingers and toes crossed for you over the next few weeks! x x x
Lippy - Happy Birthday to DD1 - what a milestone! Are you staying anywhere nice while you're getting your floors done?
Uwila - I'm really happy for you breastfeeding well - it must make things so much more straightforward for you.
Uki - I've had a resurgence of that metallic taste that I had for the first few months too. Weird isn't it?
Coop - Glad you've got your ball fixed!
I think naming your boy after someone you fancy is perfectly ok You've just reminded me about coming home clothes so thanks!
Tea - oh my Goodness! Saturday! Aaarghhh! I remember now you told us ages ago about your ds coming out like Superman - lol! Poor you with your tear. Think I'll do a bit of massage after all....
Welshie - sorry you're tired, not long now though? You seem to be starting your own little Ewan fan club here - I think he's really sweet, but he's just not rough enough for me - now Max Beesley.....
MrsF - when do you stop work again?
Jonah - hope your cot's arrived by now. Why do couriers do this? I worked at one planning routes for a while when at uni and I can tell you, the drivers DO have an idea of when they'll be where before they set off in morning.
McMudda - lol at you not being able to fit behind your steering wheel! I'm glad it's not just me - I have to drive dp's massive very un-pc 4x4 van thingy now - gets very parking the darned thing sometimes I can tell you. Actually he's "given" me it because I can fit all the baby stuff in it and the dog really easily so I'd better get used to it Am intrigued at your dh posting on Mumsnet! What sort of stuff does he like to debate?
