Kitchen doors done along with kitchen bin which was disinfected on Sunday (our deep clean day!!!) Oh my life is so exciting!!! Just realised how bad that must seem to all my cool friends who come over to my house! - I think I am going to do nothing for a couple of hours then I will mop all the floors, hoover the carpet and then get dinner ready for DH - only 3 hours to go before I can feasibly move. I was tempted to organise the loft space but it's too heavy for me to do!!!

Thread title...

Chapter 24: Pulling the Plug on the April babies!!!

Juwesm · 24/03/2009 13:45

Hoorah! I have progressed massively from 4/5 to 3/5! And apparently have a 'good lump of baby' in there .

BabyBolat · 24/03/2009 13:46

Yay Ju!!!! congrats to you.... was worth the waddle down there then!!

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 24/03/2009 13:48

Juw - hooray for progression for "the good lump of baby" though, did she not realise she was talking to the mother of said baby??

Yay for pulling the plug and yay for Juwesm's 'good lump'.

And BB - do not go into the loft. We have a lovely new loft space in our newly done house (had floor boards and lighting and a proper loft ladder put in so that it can actually be used for storage) but I haven't even been up there to see it.

SpringySunshine · 24/03/2009 13:50

Nice thread title!

I'm beginning to struggle - I'm nesting, nesting, nesting, but suddenly really tired. I don't think I can sleep knowing how much there needs to be done, but I don't want to push it. STUPID INSTINCTS.

SpringySunshine · 24/03/2009 13:51

Pfft, 'good lump'. What a beautiful way of phrasing her description of the miracle of life

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 24/03/2009 13:52

Springy - try to have a little nap or a rest at least and tell your instincts that once you have had a nap/rest you can nest some more and that you will get more done when suitably refreshed

SpringySunshine · 24/03/2009 13:52

I should NOT be this excited.

BabyBolat · 24/03/2009 13:53

Springy you are nested, have a rest, but your feet up on the sofa and see if you fall asleep!

Our loft is at the sides of our bedroom (we have a loft conversion thing), they are not massive but full of stuffed suitcases that I can't drag out by myself!

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 24/03/2009 13:54

Springy - i urge you to go have a lie down now sweety, i think the nesting got to you a bit too much lol

OP posts:
BabyBolat · 24/03/2009 13:55

Ok you are way ahead of me on the nesting front - they say its 24-48 hours before birth so you are well on your way!!!

SpringySunshine · 24/03/2009 13:57

I don't think it means that I'm going to give birth, I just think that it means that I've finally lost my mind

It's a novel experience, though - I'm unlikely to ever be this interested in cleaning ever again.

Juwesm · 24/03/2009 13:57

Slow news day?

Kalikaroo · 24/03/2009 13:58

Hi everyone! I've had no internet again (stupid crappy wifi..grrr) so haven't been able to post for a while.

Can't believe that you're all managing to poke your cervices though!!! There's no way I can reach up there.

I'm due next friday and have had NO bloomin' signs that bubs is on its way . Hardly any hixting, no shows, no periody pains...I have had a slight dull headachy pressure feeling behind my eyes for the last few days, but I don't think that's pregnancy related - maybe just a cold coming on or something. Bit annoying though because I don't get headaches unless I'm ill. My blood pressure is ok though, so it's not PE or anything like that.

I went for a curry at lunch time today without telling DH!! Deliberately.

Am now bouncing on ball, trying to get things moving. All my family have been running a book on when I'm going to pop and EVERYONE has placed their bets AFTER my due date! Hmmpph!

Last night DH came back from the shops with a man-sized gym ball!!!! He said that mine look like fun to sit on so he went out and got one too!! So we're both going to be bouncing round the house! (Does anyone else's ball pick up lots of dust ans fluff from the floor...?)

Springy - I'm till chuckling over your DH being concerned over getting a wet leg!

SpringySunshine · 24/03/2009 13:59

Not only must there be incredibly little happening in the world right now, that sounds hideous!

SpringySunshine · 24/03/2009 14:00

LOVE the image of you & DH both bouncing around, Kali

Don't worry about no labour signs - you'll probably be one of those really lucky women who only realise they're in labour as the baby's crowning because it's just been that easy

BabyBolat · 24/03/2009 14:05

My mum didn't realise she was in labour until she was 8cm dilated and was wheeled down the corridor with my sister virtually hanging out of her!!!

Lovely - so jealous tho!! I will be there for hours!!!

Kalikaroo · 24/03/2009 14:06

I wish!! It probably means that I'll go 2 weeks over my due date!

SpringySunshine · 24/03/2009 14:06

BB, I'm sorry, but I hate your mum a little bit

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 24/03/2009 14:06

Kali - lol at your dh going out to get a ball

OP posts:
BabyBolat · 24/03/2009 14:08

Me too and she barely looked pregnant - she had a little football up her top and nothing else (COW!!!)

SpringySunshine · 24/03/2009 14:09

Right, that's it - I'm going to need her address so I can send her endless hate mail

Kalikaroo · 24/03/2009 14:10

Oh bugger! It's snowing AGAIN!!! When will it be spring???????

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 24/03/2009 14:10

BB - you have doomed your poor mum now
