Let the ramblings commence.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
BoffinMum · 11/03/2009 16:42

I was in the bath, Nutty.

Owowowow, I tried to cut my own toenails and I stabbed my big toe with the nail scissors and it is now bleeding.

Where oh where is my DH when I require him to peel grapes and cut my toenails????

Bleuravin · 11/03/2009 16:42

ooooh..do you think she's possibly laboring? how early would she be?

BoffinMum · 11/03/2009 16:43

2.5 weeks I guess.

Schulte · 11/03/2009 16:46

Peel grapes Boff?

Bleuravin · 11/03/2009 16:47

How do you get them to peel grapes?

Schulte · 11/03/2009 16:47

No cheesecake left I am afraid...

BoffinMum · 11/03/2009 16:49

Lie back on the bed encased in lacy underwear with a scented candle burning and some relaxing music on the CD player. Then they will peel grapes for you.

Bleuravin · 11/03/2009 16:50

cheesecake? what cheesecake? I think you must have imagined the cheesecake...

KittyCatIsGettingFat · 11/03/2009 16:51

No news from BB at all! Have just sent her a text to see if she's in training...

Bleuravin · 11/03/2009 16:52

hmmm really? all this time I've been doing it wrong...I was using a satin corset and incense...right! I shall see to the scented candle and lace

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 11/03/2009 16:57

Kitty i text her this morning, no reply [worried] i hope she is just training maybe she got the spacehopper with the appendage

Boff - loving the grape peeling image, you have to have a second slave man to fan you

Schulte - well done for finishing off the cheesecake

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 11/03/2009 16:58

Bleu - i'm sure the corset is fine as long as you have the suspenders and stockings to go with it

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 11/03/2009 16:59

lace topped stockings of course, and lacey knickers

Claireykitten · 11/03/2009 16:59

Yay! I know what my buddy looks like now!

Its sooo not fair though I have nearly 2 whole weeks extra to go than you and you have such a lovely little neat and tidy bump

My bump literally comes round the corner before I do! I have threatened to murder the next person to comment on how big I am or imply that I am lying about how many are in there!!

Bleuravin · 11/03/2009 17:04

LITTLE NEAT and TIDY BUMP? oh dear, you have bad eyesight I shall write my texts in all caps

Bleuravin · 11/03/2009 17:05

I'm massive!

Bleuravin · 11/03/2009 17:18

Sometimes I wish that I could fit into a corset now... I think it would help ease the pain in my ribs...

Claireykitten · 11/03/2009 17:21

My eyesight is not that bad!!!!!!!!!

Honestly you have a lovely neat bump and compared to this monstrosity I seem to be sporting this time that is a little perfectly sized bump!!

Bleuravin · 11/03/2009 17:25

Thank you. It doesn't feel small. But I guess that's to be expected.

SpringySunshine · 11/03/2009 17:32

Puzzle, not only did people really miss the point, they're still missing the point now. I've just given up with it - I asked if IWBU & I got enough feedback to judge - they can have their own little debates without me.

Boffin, sounds like a good day I hope you've not pushed yourself too hard with that walking - you're so naughty with your wanting to paint & stuff!

Bleu, you look exactly how I imagined you I love when that happens.

Nutty, excellent joke & I love the idea that BB would be in labour & keeping it quiet so as to not trigger WFH's competitive streak I hope she is in labour - I want to look at more cute baby photos!

As for men peeling grapes, I don't think the lacy underwear is quite as effective when pregnant

SpringySunshine · 11/03/2009 17:34

I went for coffee with 2 of my NCT group earlier & we sat & chatted for 2.5 hours I thought I'd only be out for an hour or so, but we really got into it. We're meeting again next week, with one of the other ladies who was too busy this week. We all seem to be really keen to keep the social contact going & I'm really pleased. I'm the only one of the 3 of us with a sticky-out belly button & leaky boobs, though

And they both have CS dates set for the end of this month. I'm so !

PuzzleRocks · 11/03/2009 17:40

Surprise - I managed to deliver an 8lb 8.5oz baby and i'm normally a dress size 6-8, fet 4 and very narrow hipped so don't worry about being too small.
I'm actually hoping for a big baby again because it will mean that less of the 2.5 stones I have gained is actually fat.

Schulte - That's a good idea. Worth a shot.
I'm glad your DD is better.

Boff - Good on John Lewis for coming through for you.

Frekkles - at you enjoying your perineal massage.

Nutty - Good thanks. She is coming round in two weeks time to do a homebirth risk assessment. I have been given a list of things to get for the homebirth. It includes "newspaper for the floor". I feel like a cat.

Sarah - my plan is to say no visitors for two weeks, as the general consensus seems to be that you don't want loads of people turning up in the early days. Then, I will be reasonably pleased if we can get away with at least one week of not being descended on by the ILs. I really think they are going to be hard to keep at bay. My own parents are easy as they are 4 hours drive away, and will have to take proper leave from work to come visiting, rather then just popping over.

Nutty - hurrah for excellent pain relief arrangements ! Epidurals do sound rather lovely. My initial plan, before I went all homebirths and reusable nappies, was to get someone at work to site an epidural catheter before I left to go on mat leave, steal an epidural bag from work and carry it around with me always, ready at a moment's notice! . Then something happened, and now I appear to be relying on a paddling pool and positive thinking for analgesia - it's really not very me - pregnancy changes a girl

Kitty - Mmmmmmm, Rocky Road.

Nutty - I vote for 'We had sex in July' though possibly worded to make it clear that we did not all have sex with each other in July.

Bleu - I intend to put Shepherd's Pie in little trays to freeze before baking. Don't know if this is right though. Also, re: perineal massage - find it stings to much to be stimulating!!

Nutty - Snigger......ride on....

Can you still get proper Tonka Toys? Tonka Diggers were good when I were a lass.

Schulte - It's a bit late, but I feel it is important you do have another slice of cheesecake. I just sense it.
Ah, I see you did

This catch up business takes forever!!

SpringySunshine · 11/03/2009 17:52

Ju, you've only just got here - how do you know we didn't all have sex with each other in July, eh? When we talk about our commune, that's exactly what we mean - free love & all that

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 11/03/2009 17:58

Springy - i'm of their end of month c/sect dates too!! i bet BB the minx is doing just that you know

Puzzle - better have a bowl of milk at the ready and puuuuurrrrrrfect your puuuuurrrrring

Juw - yes it sure does
