Evening All,

Huge congrats to Mumblemum! I've been wondering how your day went. I'm so pleased that your DD was well enough to be able to be your little ring bearer - how cute!

I'm ignoring Nutty's smut

Today DH is very pleased that the sex ban is now lifted. Sadly though my bump seems to have grown just a little bit too much to make sex normal anymore. Even with me on top or on my side it was nigh on impossible to keep going for any length of time (Sorry if TMI)

Today I have finally gotten to that point in pregnancy where I can no longer sit like a lady because my bump is too low for my legs to do anything other than go either side of my bump. I'm quite proud that it has taken this long. It does seem to be causing a few problems when DD wants to sit on my lap though

Swaliswan, try doggy style

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 08/03/2009 22:09

sorry

springy, glad the contractions have been ok xx

pain seems to have kicked up a gear since the hospital visit (probably due to them not medicating me) i'm sure it will settle and regulate again though now i'm back in the routine today really took its toll too so will be back to full on rest from now on

Swaliswan · 08/03/2009 22:09

I've figured that doggy really is the only way now. I like a bit of variety though

Report
SpringySunshine · 08/03/2009 22:13

I know - we can manage doggy, spooning or a hilariously undignified version of missionary (only for a short time because of the poor man's back) if we're on the sofa & he can sort of lean on the arm of it. That's all

I can't wait to be able to have a good roll around, with lots of passionate grabbing & kissing. Stupid bump.

SpringySunshine · 08/03/2009 22:14

I'm sure I replied to Nutty's post Confused It must've died halfway through posting.

It's outrageous that they left you without pain meds & now you're suffering for it I hope you didn't do too much running around today. Make sure you do rest, lady!

Nutty, you haven't offended anyone.

Hello people. I actually had a night with no pg insomnia and only one loo trip. I am feeling splendid (apart from the hips).

The electrician comes today to fit my electric towel rail and then my deluxe bathrom makeover is complete.

In the absence of Bleu, the miracle decorating queen, I am trying to work out how to paint the downstairs WC so it's as nice as the bathroom, but without damaging myself. Maybe if I sit on my perching stool, due to arrive today? Oddly enough they didn't see to have much in the way of Occupational Therapy equipment to allow people to do DIY.

Report
BabyBolat · 09/03/2009 07:58

Boff, I am not sure it is possible! - How big is the WC? and how much would you have to stretch etc? I think that you should probably

Puzzle you are like an MN star!!!

Smutts - why would you have offended anyone? Did I miss something? Hope you had a good nights sleep and are feeling less tired today!

Kitty - have those contractions stopped?

BoffinMum · 09/03/2009 08:03

Maybe I could just refresh the skirting boards and so on with some satin one coat, skimping on the prep (I don't think I would be able to sand them down, for example). I could then do as far as I could reach easily and someone else could then do the top bits around the coving (obviously that's not really a goer on crutches). It will take me about ten times as long as normal and no doubt they will all tell me off here, but I am thinking I can probably do it in a fairly static way if I am patient and sensible.

Or maybe this is totally bonkers. Maybe I should try to get someone in.

Swaliswan - I'm having to sit like such a "geezer" now, very attractive.

Nutty - Did you forget which antenatal thread you are on? Our threads are not for the faint hearted. Offended indeed.

Springy - Thanks for the link.

Boffin - DON'T DO IT YOURSELF.

Doh - double post.

Anyway - having briefly caught up, yes I think Puzzle is right the Rolling Stones chocolate bar of choice was supposed to be the Mars Bar but Marianne Faithfull still denies that happened to this day.

Can't believe you looked up 'fudging' on Urban Dictionary. Naughty girls - haven't you ever heard the expression 'fudge-packer'? Anyway, I'm very glad I read this some time after I had my breakfast.

And Boffin I'm sure you could tackle painting the skirting boards sitting down, but sanding would be really hard work (do you have access to an electric sander? even with one still hard work). IME sanding beforehand really does make for a difference. So I think best left.

I'm sure you could pretty the skirts up in the short term but better to leave someone else to do the job properly - will be glad of it in the long run I think.

Unless there is someone else around who could do the prep work for you? I really like painting things. Find it very soothing so I can understand why you want to get on with it.
