Hello, sorry haven't got time to read everything since yesterday so sorry if I've missed anything, am in a rush but wanted to let you all know that the end is in sight...

Scan wasn't as good as it could have been, my waters are low again and the baby has only put on 4oz since the last growth scan a month ago, not nearly enough, est. weight around 5lb 5oz now, but on the good side, he seems happy, the placenta is working perfectly, the cord is pulsing fine, so they are going to have me in for monitoring on Friday and then Tuesday, if all stays well then I'll be induced on Boxing Day. Obviously anything hapens before that (waters leaking, lack of movement, or if the monitoring doesn't look good, etc.) then they will induce me before, but for now, it's all set for BD (hah, he should be so lucky! )

I really must dash, will check in later to catch up properly, LBOT, hope your scan went/goes well?

sorkycake · 16/12/2008 13:32

Great news Nat!

Hope you get to see him before Boxing Day though.

Glask I usd the new customer code and got 6 storage boxes, which are desperately needed for £16 but now can't go back and order anything else because I don't have a customer number and won't get one apparently until my statement arrives.

How do I get around this one then? Does it take long to come?

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 16/12/2008 13:33

Hi Nat,
Glad you have date for induction..sounds like the best option given the last few weeks you've had.. Fingers cross DS3 doesnt let any more water out so you can have xmas before the delivery

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 16/12/2008 13:33

Nat sorry to hear scan wasn't as good as it could ahve been, but at least he seems happy, and obviously if they are happy to leave him in till boxing day then the weight and waters mustn't be too much of a problem.

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 16/12/2008 13:35

sorky, on the bottom it should say fogotten your customer number or details or something like that... i clicked that and it asked for my email address and password (if you know that?) if not re-register if you need to under your DH's name or something?

OP posts:
glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 16/12/2008 13:37

when did you order the boxes sorky? will you not have an email from them with your customer number in it? otherwise, i always forget mine but my nice PC remembers usernames & passwords etc, so when i forgot mine i just went throguh with each number alone and then when i pressed '7' (first number of my customer no) the rest came up!!

OP posts:
sorkycake · 16/12/2008 13:45

Just now. It says it doesn't recognise the account, mustn't have set it up yet. No number in email.
Might wait until tomorrow, will try again.

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 16/12/2008 13:49

you should soon get a confirmation email saying what you've ordered... on there should be your account number

OP posts:
sorkycake · 16/12/2008 13:52

got the email but no account number. Have registered Dh and used that first code. Paid £16 for first lot of boxes, paid £11 for second lot and got the free gift so code does work!

Thanks very much..will wait and see if Dh gets an account number in his email.

I could do some serious damage to my card here

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 16/12/2008 13:59

haha- tell me about it!! DH is dreading friday when i'm putting a whole 14 orders in!!!!

OP posts:
sorkycake · 16/12/2008 14:02

I'm after the baby rabbit bedding but it says duvet cover, is that right, just the cover?
where can you buy the quilt (cotbed sized) to fit? Generally they come as one whole piece don't they?

glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 16/12/2008 14:08

right... the quilt is availavle to buy through them, its £16.55 or something for the 75x120 duvet which will fit the 80x120 duvet cover on it... it is the duvet cover, which i prefer, but i'm pretty sure that can't be used until after 12mths... so i'm buying them now, and matching bedsheets and the bumper, but until baby is 12mths she will just have the fitted sheets on, her sleeping bag and bumper, then at 12mths we'll put her pillow and duvet on aswell.... and isn't that the cutest duvet- thats the design i'm buying all my bedding in!!

OP posts:
glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 16/12/2008 14:11

oh and if its cooler before she gets to 12mths she'll have a baby fleece blanket and a flat sheet to use before she's old enough for the quilt... but getting it all now is easier for me so she has all the matching bedding to last as long as it lasts really!! i'm buying one duvet, and 2 duvet covers and 2 pillowcases... then i'll be getting 3 matching fitted sheets, 2 plain pink fitted sheets and 3 pink flat sheets... if that makes sence?

OP posts:
glaskhamhasoneintheoven · 16/12/2008 14:18

right i'm going for a nap- DC's have made it look like a bombs gone off in my living room!! and my very early morning is creeping up on me!!

OP posts:
sorkycake · 16/12/2008 14:54

yes makes sense.

Erm....someone needs to come round my house and take my card away because I got wind of the M&P sale and bought the Roundabout girls bedroom stuff that I swore was too expensive.

I have the Barnaby Button entire range if anyone wants to buy it.
The newer range is available at [http://www.mamasandpapas.co.uk/range/barnaby-button/2662/ M&P] if anyone wants to have a look and decides they like it, they can buy it for muchos cheepos from me.
Mine is the previous BB collection so is slightly different, kind of like a cross between the new BB and 'Bedtime Hugs' range, same colours, materials etc. It is in immaculate condition if I do say so myself

I have the cot bumper, cot quilt (AIO), fabric shade, curtains & tiebacks, cot mobile, sleeping bag and a fleece blanket.

Anyone interested, before I 'classifieds' the lot? I'm hoping to get £50 for the lot.

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 16/12/2008 15:12

Re buying stuff...realised that not knowing baby's sex means buying stuff will be really hard! other than buying white baby gros (love those!) wont be able get much. Not overly impressed by unisex stuff....

Anyone seen any nice unisex ranges?

sorkycake · 16/12/2008 15:17

It's a tough one really. For my first I just bought white, a little bit of yellow and some in cream.

I found decorating the Nursery harder though Gyo.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 16/12/2008 15:18

Sorry have got 10 minutes now!

LBOX, that is fantastic news about the scan!! How exciting! You're going to have a baby as well!! I am really over the moon for you

Kay, if it helps any I got the baby blues on days 4-7 with DS1, I can remember sat watching something funny on the telly while feeding DS1, DH and I were in stitches at what ever was on the telly but I was crying - proper sobbing - at the same time, no reason for it, just started and stopped on it's own. It doesn't take a lot of imagination to understand why it happens though, all the emotional and physical goings on you've had over the last few months (infact I'd argue since anyone get's the idea of TTC'ing, the ball is rolling on the emotional front!) it isn't surprising that it all just get's too much. I think your plan of giving it till the end of the week is a good one, just bare in mind that giving up BF altogether may have a more negative effect on your feelings than persevering with it. Always here if you need to talk xxx

Sorky, best place I've found for cotbed quilts is John Lewis, suprisingly one of the cheapest as well.

Forgot to say before but I expect it was fairly obvious because of the lack of ECV/CS talk, the baby isn't breech anymore. I am sure it must have been lying in bed for those 4/5 days with the flu that made him move round, and since he is only small it would have been very easy for him to shift about. Luckily he's found his feet (or head?! . They have warned us that he will likely need some extra care when he's born, not anything major just proper feeding and warmth monitoring, so we'll likely not be coming straight home, but if he is well then obviously that could still happen

sorkycake · 16/12/2008 15:19

Kay are you okay? How's today going so far?

Boots have just sent me some bumf and the offer of a free changing bag...guess what?.....It matches my new P&T buggy perfectly!!

I'm thrilled!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 16/12/2008 15:24

GYo, I think if we didn't know the sex, I'd buy the very basics in white (clothes and nursery stuff) and then buy all the coloured accessories after the baby is born. You will find that you get lots of lovely pressies, and mostly people will wait to find out the sex before buying so it won't take long to get some colourful things together

Sorky, hoorah for matching free stuff! Nothing better is there?!

sorkycake · 16/12/2008 15:27

I KNOW!!!!

Great news on the head down Nat. Soooo how are you feeling about induction then? Have they said what to do if you labour spontaneously? I guess head straight to hospital if he's likely to need special care.

Looks like you might have to get some weeny baby clothes just in case.

sorkycake · 16/12/2008 15:28

Has Kay been in touch Nat? Is she any better?

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 16/12/2008 15:47

I'm OK with induction, have done it twice before! I just want him out now to see for myself that he is OK, I am a little bit worried that there is something wrong with him that they haven't picked up on which is why he's not put the weight on, but then the sane part of me thinks that they'd have seen anything obvious wrong.

I said to DH about the clothes, I bought the same size clothes (and the 2nd size nappies) as I did for DS2, he was 8lb 10 at birth and his clothes still swamped him for the first few days, think I might have to go on a spending spree - such a hard life! Am also still going to plan slightly for an EMCS, I would take a guess that at any little sign of something going wrong they'll have me cut open to get him out ASAP, so although I'm fairly sure going off previous inductions everything will go well, I think it'd be an idea to just be more prepared, maybe I am over thinking it though?

Haven't heard from Kay today I'm afraid, I never know whether to text or not, I'd hate to be a PITA...

tinkisabigpinksparklybauble · 16/12/2008 16:06
