Oh, Frekkles, that's good news. You're over the worst hurdles now, and can focus on finding a red dress for the festive season. I ordered the Isabella Oliver wrap dress in red during a moment of elated extravagance after getting the all clear from the amnio, and am dying to have an excuse to wear it.
I have my 22 week scan on Friday. The w**ker who did my 12 week one omitted all the key details, like femur measurements, so am hoping to be reassured that am not carrying a stunted baby. My LO is also very active; it's odd conducting a tutorial about the finer points of 18th century translations while being constantly reminded that there's an extra person listening in and thrashing around, probably sniggering at my discomfiture when faced with students' unexpected questions.
I have put on lots of weight, more than with DS1. I can't work out weights in pounds any more, so can't reveal the extent of the horror . But it's mostly due to comfort eating; every time I get a new update on the reforms looming over my job, I reach for the chocolate.
BoffinMum, I hope you're feeling better. I'm not in your field at all and not even in the same country, but I think that youyou should be able to catch up with your research after the baby is born.
A break might be a good thing, allow you to view things from a distance before getting back in there.
I am so of all these people having baths; we only have a shower and I fantasise about being able to have a bath...
