Clinique 3 step?

And I thought my DH was camp.

LuLuBai · 01/12/2008 14:19

Caught my DH using my fake tan recently. Had wondered how come he always looked so 'well' considering the hours he puts in at the office. He claimed he thought it was 'just moisturiser'.

SantasNuttySTaff · 01/12/2008 14:21

i know, i know tis my fault really he asked for some stuff that would sort out his skin, i suggested clinique and he's never looked back (he has more bloody toiletries than i do!!!)

SpringySunshine · 01/12/2008 14:23

I'm crying. The Clinique Three Step absolutely killed me. Best of all, it sounds like it belongs on Strictly Come Dancing: "Here are Rachel & Vincent performing the Clinique Three Step."

I wish DP had hairdressing skills, though - I used to really want to marry a hairdresser, but it's obviously not to be. I love having my hair played with, quite asides from the always looking fab bit.

& LuLu, you're such a domestic goddess! You put me to serious shame!

LuLuBai · 01/12/2008 14:25

Sweet of you to say Springy - but honestly you haven't seen my icing! It's appalling!

(and fwiw - I won't be doing a Christmas roast either. I'm vegetarian so DH has to roast his own poulet or other small bird that comes in single portion sizes if he wants anything like that on Christmas day)

B52s · 01/12/2008 14:27

Ah this all makes me smile. Just dropping in, usually lurk every couple of days. My DH rubs Nivea in but that's about it - and I would be so proud if my DS was gay. I had loads of gay friends at school and uni (was a bit of a fag hag really) and loved them all to bits! Suspect GP wouldn't be so happy though...
I have my scan on Friday - hopefully will find out if it's another sprocket or the female equivalent. If we can't tell I can always ask the geneticist who has the results from my amnio as they will know from that.
Springy - I had a 4D scan with DS, paid about £90, loved the experience, watched the DVD once and once only. Bit boring really. Unless you're desperate to see sproglet I'd save the money for something else.
Re all the shagging - I'd gone right off it but at the weekend had quite a rude dream and them woke up to a randy DH. Rather nice after about 3 months of nothing. Quite often feel I can't quite let myself go though with newbie in my belly!

SantasNuttySTaff · 01/12/2008 14:27

we met through hairdressing college (i was doing my nvq he was at my salon placement)

it was the three mohawks that did it (middle one white the side 2 red) and the neo leather jacket - instant love over the basins

he's the only man i know who can spend longer in the bathroom than me

LuLuBai · 01/12/2008 14:30

Red, white, red? Trying to think what country's flag that is....

Good luck with the scan B52s.

SpringySunshine · 01/12/2008 14:32

Three mohawks? He sounds like a bit of a character I'd love to train as a hairdresser, but I'm nowhere near creative enough. & probably far too clumsy.

& LuLu, at least you're icing. All I've done today is sit on my bum watching naff tv & eating hard boiled eggs & Dairy Milk. Separately, obviously - I'm not having those sort of cravings yet!

B52s, which sex are you hoping for? Any preference? & thanks for the advice about the scan - I think I will give it a miss. I've always been a bit of a fag hag too - one of my gay friends went to his Halloween party as a Zombie Madonna purely because he wanted to dress up as her & thought that was a good enough excuse

LuLuBai · 01/12/2008 14:36

How many mohawks did he have ahem down there after you cut the chocolate sauce out of his curly wurlies?

SpringySunshine · 01/12/2008 14:37
SantasNuttySTaff · 01/12/2008 14:41

bald as a babys bum..... i was thorough

SantasNuttySTaff · 01/12/2008 14:42

he had blue hair (on his head) at that point

hes currently white (platinum blonde)

SpringySunshine · 01/12/2008 14:43

I can't believe I spent almost £5 extra just to get it tomorrow morning; it'd better be good. If I'm not around tomorrow afternoon you'll know why

B52s · 01/12/2008 14:44

I think I'd like another boy cause DS is easy and I know what to do with boys, can't really imagine having a girl. I think all baby girls look a little weird too (me? generalise? never) and would be worried about cleaning all the folds and flaps and creases girls get in their nappies. Far too complicated. Also a boy would be cheaper as we have all the boy stuff - although I'd probably dress her in DS's stuff anyway as I don't like pink - would that make her gay? I do like Ariadne as a girl's name though, but think DH would require some convincing first.

SpringySunshine · 01/12/2008 14:44

So the poor bloke had to put up with the itching afterwards as well? I'm now even less surprised that he's traumatised!

SantasNuttySTaff · 01/12/2008 14:45

LoveHoney sounds even more lethal than choc body paint !!!

enjoy your "special delivery" buzzbuzz :-)

LuLuBai · 01/12/2008 14:46

Springy ! That'll certainly wake up your DP.

So NuttyTaff - are you still a practising hairdresser? What are your views on colouring while pregnant?

SpringySunshine · 01/12/2008 14:47

Aled Jones, Walking In The Air is on my television now. Oh, I'm about to explode with Christmassy joy. I also have Take That's new album to listen to tonight, but can't listen until DP gets home because he wants to laugh at my excitement (& it's arrived in an envelope addressed to him, so I don't want to open it even though I know what it is.)

I feel a bit like that about having a little boy, B52s - I don't know what I'm going to do with him. My friend seems to think that the biggest challenge will be keeping him out of prison () but I'm more concerned that I'm going to be expected to run around in the cold a lot

SantasNuttySTaff · 01/12/2008 14:48

B52s dont worry i hate/despise pink and you can get away with not having any in a dd's wardrobe

SpringySunshine · 01/12/2008 14:49

I'm really hoping that the packaging will be discreet - I don't want to answer the door with a huge bump to face a sniggering postman. I'll be the talk of the sorting office

& yes, LoveHoney does sound like something you don't want sticking to the bedsheets... It is a fairly good website by the look of it, though. I'll let you know how good, I'm sure.

LuLuBai · 01/12/2008 14:50

B52s - on the bright side girls can't wee in your face while you change their nappy. And there are non-pink girls clothes around. If you really search!

Ariadne's pretty. I caught myself liking the name Daphne the other night when was tucked up in bed with my nose in the Oxford Dictionary of Names (methinks LuLuBai ought to log on to LoveHoney too.....)

Trying to tell myself that Daphne must be my pregnancy hormones playing tricks on me. Haven't even dared run it past DH yet.

SpringySunshine · 01/12/2008 14:53

There were some names that I didn't bother to mention to DP because I knew that they'd be mocked & held up as examples of my awful taste for future reference.

Daphne's quite pretty, but makes me think of Scooby Doo / Frasier.

B52s · 01/12/2008 14:54

Springy - you just throw balls at them mostly, indoors or out. And let them do the running about. I have caught him trying to put on my makeup a few times (he's only 22 months) and drawing on the dog's belly with eyeliner. And Nutty - even though I'd try not to buy pink (but outfits with ears - that's a different story) I'm sure the PIL would overcompensate. But that's what they're for I suppose. And the free looking after him twice a week while I MN work from their office

B52s · 01/12/2008 14:55

ooh my mum's a Daphne. She used to get called 'Daffers'.
