Oh yes the sobbng as you gear yourself to turn over in bed, i am right there with you

I sit on the birthing ball but that just makes my SPD even worse!

I have lots of extra discharge but it is not the thick snot like stuff from a show. Hopefully yours is the same.

We have had CP do the rounds in this house 3 times. The first time the twins were 2 and dd was 9 months. I was in for 6 weeks as they all got it 2 weeks apart!!!

Then ds#3 got it and nearly died. Then last summer ds#4 and 5 AND DH got it....

I HATE CP!!!

moosemama · 27/11/2008 10:25

Morning,

Stinky cold still going strong, so not much sleep last night. Tried to get a lie in but boys were having none of it and was woken by incessant fighting and screaming - thank god they're at school today!

Have bitten the bullet and ordered the outfit DS2 saw and desperately wanted off ebay, everywhere else is sold out in his size. The seller seems to have a fair bit of poor feedback, particularly relating to delivery times, and outfit has to be in next Friday! Just have to keep everything crossed it arrives in time.

LenniEd, my DH is much closer to his sister than his brother even though his brother is closer in age to him. I'm sure your two will have a lovely relationship regardless of gender.

lg&t, sorry you've been struck by the dreaded d&v bug. Hope you all get over it really soon.

Really hoping my crib mattress arrives today, I was in the bath when they delivered it on Monday and so had to rearrange delivery for yesterday. Of course because I was in all day, it didn't turn up. Can't actually speak to a human being at the delivery company as all automated so have emailed them but no response so far. Will be really mad if they've lost it, as was made to order to fit the crib.

Moose i had a cold over the weekend, i miss not being able to knock back the Contacts to clear it. Bloody paracetemol does not hit the spot. Hope it clears soon.

I need to order a matress for the Silver Cross too, must get on that!

GTDAB the girl has deffo dropped in to my pelvis, my heart burn eased for a few days. Of course second and subsequent babies pop in and out so my HB is back as she clearly wanted to fidget some more Still nice to know she fitted in there, Beau never did engage until very late labour. It made me nervous.

Must eat breakfast but all i can think of is the HB to follow!

Hi ladies. Just a quick highjack. I was doing this with ds5 this time last year.
Just to wish all you ladies all the luck and love in the world.
Keep going your nearly there

largeginandtonic · 27/11/2008 11:06

Ta Ging! Whaen did you have your ds#5? Did he hang in there till after the tree was packed away?

qumps · 27/11/2008 11:09

ah bless you gingeme and thank you. gtdab and lgat hope all babies staying put today.
have a nursery day so going back to bed .
lol to those with bad spd.
spink pizza was amazing!

moosemama · 27/11/2008 11:17

I justify not sewing mine by the fact everyone else buys theirs and he would be the tatty odd one out.

Last year was easier, he was a star and had to wear black with spangles. Just put him in a black jogging suit and used iron on diamonte and holographic stars (again ebay bargains).

DS1 apparently has to wear a plain black t-shirt and trousers trimmed with tinsel. That would be fine, but how many 6 year olds do you know that own a plain black tshirt. Just ordered one of those of ebay as well!

I hate the run up to christmas at school. They both need something different every day, there are constant money requests and I seem to be constantly shelling out for things they 'need'. I actually wrote out 5 separate cheques for the school on Monday morning!

Hmmm, kings servant, would they wear a dressed down kings outfit perhaps? Haven't the school given you any advice?

Wish my DH could sew, he can't even manage a button! (But he is very good at going to the corner shop for chocolate! )

tinkisallreadytositonthetree · 27/11/2008 12:40

Largeginandtonic ds5 was a bit early his bd is 10/1/2008. He was born in my bathroom. Delivered by his Dad and yes the tree was packed away by then

swiggie · 27/11/2008 13:18

Thanks tink! Your thread title is very appropriate - DH has just informed me all my Christmas presents are going to be things for the baby. Hmmn.

rrrayray · 27/11/2008 13:41

Wow you ladies have been busy this morning.

Right, Question away time for me... When i was buying some more avacado oil from my local healthy herbaly place yesterday she said it was amazing for perineal massage and that perineal massage itself its soooooo good and will decrease the chances of tearing LOTS. i had heard of it, but not really thought too much about it. Thought maybe was just rubbing some oil on my lady bits. So i google it, and its MUCH more than that. Sorry if this is too much info- but basically involves putting Thumbs/fingers inside Vagina and stretching until Stings, holding for 2 mins, and continuning to do this for last 4-6 weeks before due date to basically Stretch ourselves out & prep ourselves for the bubba's head. Apparently as useful for a 3/4 th timer as it is for a firs timer.

Was wondering if anyone has used perineal massage before? Or just knows anything about it. Sounds a bit unpleasant to me - but then if its helps, i think i must be game for it really?!?!

just been to pick up some photos we were having blown up & just about to get on and tidy the house up before a friend comes over to finish our advent calanders for OHs later.

GTDAB - sorry i'm confused was the show yesterday when you had your pains, or is today? i'm hoping all has sorted itself out & bubba staying put for now.

Swiggie never too late to join! i too am a first timer, do you know what your having? we're Apparently having a little girl & am due the day before you.

MissHairspray · 27/11/2008 13:43

Welcome swiggie
Tink i'm really fed up with the clothes situation too especially when looking at all of the nice pretty 'normal' xmas clothes, but trying not to give in. I did buy a nice dress of the new asos.com maternity range though which was a much better fit than I thought it would be.
I am laughing at all of the nativity outfit dilemmas (although i'm sure I won't be in a few years time when it is my turn). When I was at school you were either Mary (blue headscarf + doll), Joseph (teatowel), a shepherd (teatowel), a wise man (fancy tea towel + wrapped up box) or an angel (white sheet and tinsel). It sounds so complicated now!
Babs is head down and I hope anterior, I get movement all over my bump but I think it is his bum moving from side to side. I don't mind the kicks but the hiccups are really irritating!
GTDAB - hope everything calmed down and no more early signs.
