pixsix congratulations, that's great news to wake up to this morning, I'm so pleased for you and hope the birth went well for you! But gosh, these babies are starting to arrive thick and fast this week - that's 3 already. Wow!

Verso I've just done the school applications thing and had the same panic as you as our village school is rubbish. We only get to put two preferences so fingers crossed he'll get into one of those, we won't find out until January. I did talk to one of my teacher mates when we were applying and she said that they do try to make sure that you get your first choice wherever possible, shouldn't think that helps much, sorry.
I too have awaoken with a ripper of a cold. Feeling really rubbish and am so over this pregnancy thing.

Sorry to those feeling ropey.

I am happier because I finally found and washed my box of newborn babygros and vests. In clearing out another drawer I came across a list I had made of the contents of all the boxes we had in storage (still unpacked 10 months later ). That held the answer (it was within another large box labelled vaguely "Assorted Kids Clothes") All very well making lists - but you then have to REMEMBER you made 'em.

Also off for a pedicure and facial that my builder got me vouchers for last year during our house refurb. His wife owns a salon in Winchmore Hill - and its only taken me 11 months to get round to it....
Would have loved a massage but she doesn't have the facilities for the likes of us

I want my baby now ...

Many thanks to my secret stork for the lovely bubble bath. I've a funny feeling the seaweed & arnica one is going to come in particularly useful.

Note to self: must remember to pack and post my secret stork present today.

Busy day planned today - general cleaning and nesting. Must actually pack hospital bag instead of having stuff spread over my side of the bedroom.

My DD had her belated two-year check with the health visitor last week. Everything fine but she was a bit concerned about her sleeping habits. She usually wakes at least once in the night and I get in with her and give her a cuddle till she goes back to sleep. HV suggested that DH takes over this role. Unfortunately, DD just wants her mummy. I had forgotten just how rubbish HVs can make you feel but I guess she does have a point with the new baby and night feeding and all. Don't know what we can do about it really. Guess I'll just fall back on the old burying the head in the sand and hoping the problem will go away!!!

There's been no sign of Lowrib either for ages either!?!

Congratulations Pixix. Another real baby - we have given so much thought and chat to the pregnancy bit leading up to the baby arrival but what happens next.... I can imagine bringing baby home and then looking at DH saying, well what do we do now!

It was great to meet up with some of you at lunch yesterday and thanks again to Beans33 for organising - great effort!
