Evening all!
Congratulations Springy and Dungun on your news! I am semi convinced mine is a boy too, back on Thurs to see.
Had strange dream about you all last night-too much time on MN. Boffin and Springy you were both funny characters, conker you really were a tree with Nutty as a squirrel sitting on your head and a host of others in a kind of NCT group meeting, but all having our babies as we sat in the arm chairs. I think my temperature was slightly rasied again last night!
My brother and wife have just had a little girl by c section, she was lots over but labour just never kicked in. Bizare to think that all the babys being born now will be in the same school year as ours.
Waiting for Ocado man in my PJs if he doesn't get here soon I will be asleep!
Eating chocolate crispy cakes made by ds - anybody like to sample? - mind out for duplo bits!

OddEyes · 24/11/2008 22:17

my dh at work still and we sleeping in seperate beds due to my coughing so no activity on that front lately.
Although I remember pregnant sex being great and once dh realised it was so good for me he wanted more too.

BabyBolat · 24/11/2008 22:19

Ah don't worry - Springy what biscuits do you have? I think I should start living up to my new name! FYI I like old school biscuits like NICE and Hovis although I am partial to a cadbury cookie x

Congrats Dungungirl -

Nutty - I am impressed with my strength but to be fair I CANNOT keep secrets so if I found out I would tell the whole world so it's more for other people's sanity than mine!

I have already forgotten my rubbish night - what with the chocolate body paint story (still makes me giggle so much) and the kinder egg(s) I have just eaten - all is well with the world again... AND the one good thing about having your ticket stolen is that tomorrow I will be working from the comfort of my sofa!!!!

Am very very excited for you all with your news...

Ooh it's 22.17 - bed time me thinks - speak tomorrow

BabyBolat · 24/11/2008 22:21

Ooh Oddeyes, I could stay up for a Crispy cake!!!

SpringySunshine · 24/11/2008 22:23

Excuse me, what do you mean a 'funny character'?

DP pointed out the school year thing to me earlier - we know someone who's due next month & saying that her child will be in the same year as ours. It makes it all seem like it's happening so much sooner than I'd previously thought.

& I LOVE chocolate crispy cakes! Chuck one over, please!

BabyBolat, We have Nice, bourbons, Maryland cookies & plain chocolate digestives. & now I've listed them I really want some. Thank God I didn't have to be weighed today

BoffinMum · 24/11/2008 22:35

Springy would have to be a bit like Zebedee off the Magic Roundabout in a dream. I suppose that would make me Brian the Snail or something.

If we have to give birth collectively in armchairs can we hire out the Travelodge as in my previous post, please?

Last night I dreamt I snogged a guy I used to share an office with, on a London bus with no lights on. Instead of being shocked upon my reporting this, DH just said "You have been watching too much 'Survivors'". Not exactly jealousy-ridden, is he?

Anyway, time for bed, to coin those memorable words.

OddEyes · 24/11/2008 22:41

ocado man been.
will leave the rest of the chocolate crispy cakes here for those who want - I am off to bed!

SpringySunshine · 24/11/2008 22:52

Night night ladies!

I'm not sure what to think of the Zebedee comparison! I think you may be being a little hard on yourself with Brian, lovely as he is.

Good lord you ladies can chat! How do you find the enwergy to stay up so late?
I did all my Christmas shopping online yesterday. Just need to make one trip to Gap and i'm done. Why the hell don't they have an online service?
Does anyone ever check the saving money topic. It has saved me loads this Christmas. Fab topic.

Don't know what enwergy is!

conkertree · 25/11/2008 10:30

if there are any crispy cakes left, i'll have one. lol at lots of the stories last night. i went to bed early and had a rather dream involving, well not dh or any other men for that matter - not x rated but definitely a 15. not sure what that was about .

think i'd rather be a tree oddeyes.

ds sleeping on me again but he's much better than yesterday.

congrats on your news springy and dungun- i love the cuddliness of little boys.

we wont be finding out either next week cause they wont tell us and dont want to pay for private. never mind - have got lots of boys stuff and eniugh plain white for new borns.

in scotland the school year intake runs from april so ours will be the oldest in the year up here.

conkertree · 25/11/2008 10:31

oh and will check that out later puzzlerocks - plan on doing a lot of shopping this week. would so love not to be rushing at the end.

Swaliswan · 25/11/2008 10:44

Having a bit of a rough day with feeling really sick and very tired. I have a friend coming round at 11 and I'm still sat here in my PJs. I've just cheered myself up by buying a Hotmilk 'slip into seduction' chemise - very sexy! I've decided that our sex life needs a bit of a boost and I wanted to feel sexy despite my tummy. I don't know what my poor DH is going to make of it though.

SpringySunshine · 25/11/2008 11:21

Thanks for updating the list, Puzzle. I bet you always did your homework on time, too I shall also be looking at the money saving thread in a minute - it sounds like the sort of thing I want to be paying attention to!

conker, I didn't know that about the Scottish school years. I bet that works out better - my birthday is the beginning of October, but I was never one of the oldest because almost everyone I knew had September - November birthdays for some reason. Asides from anything else it meant that we wanted to spend our entire upper sixth going to the pub because we were 18 now

Speaking of strange dreams (what WERE you dreaming about?!), I seemed to have one that consisted of me watching that 'Stacy's Mom' video (I wouldn't click that if you're at work; it may draw attention to you somewhat) on a broken iPod over & over & over again whilst I tried to get it to work. I don't even really like it. I certainly never had any strong feelings about it either way, but now I think I may never be able to listen to it again. It was like Chinese water torture.

Sorry you don't get to find out the sex, conker. Why don't they tell you? Seems a bit mean... Maybe you'll be able to catch a glimpse anyway? Especially if it's a boy

Swaliswan, let me know how that works out for you - I got a flat out rejection last night because it was 'too cold'. It wasn't. & anyway, what better way to warm up? I was quite upset for a while (he promptly fell asleep) but I've woken up this morning, felt my little boy(!) kicking & decided that I don't care. I have more exciting things to think about so .

One of the first threads I read on MN included this that MamaG posted:

'DS aged 4 came thundering up the stairs (they do that a lot, thundering about!) shouting "where are you mummy?"

"in my room sorting out the clothes"

" well I'm coming because I need to see your beautiful face"'

Ever since I read that I've been completely sold on how cute children can be (not that there was much doubt before) & at least my son (still so great to say!) will appreciate my radiance

BabyBolat · 25/11/2008 11:31

Oh swaliswan - hope you feel better soon although all my friends understand for the next 4 months PJs are perfectly acceptable. And yay for the purchasing!

I am working from home today and an wrapped up under a blanket on the sofa drinking hot chocolate - yummy! Obviously working very hard! Although Springy I need to raid your biscuit tin - I only have ginger nuts which I can no longer eat as they bring back horrible memories of months of morning sickness and trying desperately to stop it (FYI - they didn't work!!!).

All your talk of cuddly boys has made me really want a little man (although all the girl talk last week made me want a girl too!)

I have not done a single bit of Christmas shopping! hmmm! Thanks for the link puzzlerocks - will check that out when I finally get round to it!! eek!

conkertree · 25/11/2008 11:38

sypathy swaliswan - having felt/been sick for the last 4 days, i dont think there is any reason to come out of the pjs.

springy - its the local nhs area's policy here not to tell the sex - they have big notices saying please dont ask cause we wont tell you - dont know if its to avoid telling you incase they are wrong or incase you are tempted to do something about it if you are really disappointed. not sure.

anyway, will keep a look out next week but i doubt i would know if i saw something.

BabyBolat · 25/11/2008 11:58

Conkertree you might be luck the baby might lay perfectly still legs akimbo and (if it's a boy) will be clear as day!

KittyCat8 · 25/11/2008 12:20

Oooh biscuits... i have a whole bag of Mars Bars left over from Halloween that i was thinking of baking into some gooey fudgey chocolatey biccies - anyone want some? evil

BabyBolat · 25/11/2008 12:21

Springy - just to help with the cute children -

This Morning is on (while I am working hard) and there are the most adorable little children making Christmas crackers and choosing presents to put inside them! so cute - one just made one for his mummy! really makes me excited for 4 or 5 years time when they are old enough to do that kind of thing!

BabyBolat · 25/11/2008 12:23

ME PLEASE!!

I have three boxes of those big Quality Street / Roses tins that we have at Christmas under the bed in the spare room upstairs and I am fighting the urge to go and open them!

I can't - that would be very bad and how would I explain to DH that a whole tin had gone since he has been at work!
