Hi, I'm also on the June thread but officially my due date would be 4th July 2009 so thought I'd better set up a thread for all these summer babies.

Got 3 BFP's yesterday although technically I am only 3+2 weeks. Would love to symptom spot with fellow early testers. Surely there must be more of us out there !! I can't be the first

its wierd but it doesnt feel really hard like in my first pg but my stomach's sticking out like im 5 months gone! im taking it as agood sign tho! i got rid of all my maternity stuff at the beginning of the year as i didnt think we'd be having another for years! think ill have a trawl through the next maternity section! im glad im not the only one, but we're trying to hold off telling people til 12 week scan but dont think ill make it that far!

LargeGlassofRed · 27/11/2008 21:08

i'm feeling rather podgy at 4 weeks

with ds, i sailed through the pregnancy and thought i hadn't put on much weight at all. then about a month before he was born i remember noticing a suspicious flabby pouch below my belly button.

then i had a cs and was unbelievably bloated - was expecting to hear shouts of "thar she blows, Captain Ahab!"

everyone kept saying it was all fluid but after 5 months it was quite clear that it wasn't in fact all fluid but rather the consequences of a penchant for snacks combined with a complete lack of will power

i have resisted buying new clothes that actually fit as i've been planning to lose the weight and everything is a bit tight already - dread to think what it'll be like in another month

NattyTantrumAndEarAche · 27/11/2008 21:28

none of my clothes fit either, im around 7 week mark, its a joke cos i dont wanna wear maternity yet as i dont want ppl to know yet
so i went to primark
got 3 pairs of 2 size up jeans, and they can do me till new year when i will be screaming out for my maternity clothes lol!

sickness eased off a little last few days, but i want it to come back worries me when i dont feel ill.. stupid as that sounds lol

I'll second all of that mavornia from pg1!

After my rant earlier this week about no growing belly etc., my bulge has suddenly bulged. I have been relying on the fact that my upper abdomen has never recovered from pg1 and the muscles are still separated so the bulge there should distract people from what is happening further down. However, I noticed earlier today that my whole tummy is very definitely hanging out in a huge way. Darn. I've just got a really nice skirt and jumper combo from white stuff for my birthday - the skirt is really comfy but my belly is really obvious in the jumper. Looks like I've got a rubber ring implanted around my belly button. Urgh.

I've been wiped with tiredness this week and feeling the after-effects of my stomach bug from the weekend. It was a better day today though. But I've to go to work on my day off tomorrow and am pretty peeved about it because I REALLY need the rest! Thank goodness my absentee colleague returns next week.

Christiana I sympathise about your DH. Mine with pg1 was in utter denial and reverted to a loutish student-type. He took every available opportunity to do and get hammered with the lads and leave me for 24 hours to my morning sickness on my own. We're both so tired from work, bugs and pg this time that we're getting on pretty well, trying to prop each other up. No sex - SO TIRED I'm always asleep on the sofa before we even get to bed. Last time the ms was so bad it made me ill if he even turned over in bed and disturbed the mattress so it was a long time before anything happened in that department. In fact, I think it was when I was well overdue and willing to try anything...

Hmmm. must make an effort.

Anyone else look like they've seen a ghost? All grey and saggy-looking. grim.

Belgrano · 27/11/2008 21:36

Me too guys, tummy bulging and it's straining against even my fat day jeans and I'm only 6+3 weeks gone...
Anyone else's internal clock up the creek and having meals at really odd times?
Here's my day:

5.30 am awake and starving

6 am had to eventually go and get cereal to stop self vomiting in the bed (DH away otherwise he would have been sent down!)

8.30 2nd breakfast with DD although feeling repellantly sick and could barely force one Weetabix down

10 am starving/sick in playpark so had to do emergency mission to bakers for cheese pie and can of Sprite

1 pm stewed apple cos couldn't face anything else

4 pm suddenly ravenous for Oriental food so ended up putting DD in car after her nap and driving to nearby restaurant where we were the only customers and she was very confused since it was the middle of the afternoon and Mummy ordered 2 main courses to herself! Then felt sick halfway through and had to get them to put it in a bag for me. Poor DD then got pasta with melted butter and cheese for tea cos I couldnt' face cooking anything at all for her when we got home.

8 pm contents of doggy bag from over-enthusiastic ordering in restaurant

9.30 pm Weetabix cos i am starving again but the entire contents of the kitchen revolts me

It strikes me I have rich-girls-sickness. I can only eat food someone else has prepared in a restaurant or takeaway joint. i can't see or smell any food preparation or it sends me right over the brink... This is going to be an expensive trimester....

hobnob57 · 27/11/2008 21:48

I'm starving every couple of hours too, yet can't eat much at all when I get round to it. And I just can't suss what on earth I need to eat either (although I popped out at lunchtime yesterday to buy deodorant and got totally waylaid by the smell of chips and ended up having a baked spud in a cafe...)

It's driving me nuts. But at least the travel bands seem to be helping this time round and I'm not at the point of being so starving I can't physically eat enough to stop myself from being sick like last time.

oddly my very favourite cinnamon biscuits which are sitting beside me as I type are being particularly unappealing. Yet so hungry!

hobnob57 · 27/11/2008 21:58

Feel like I've been away for ages even though it's only been a couple of days. Will have to sign off again though and crash out imminently - after a glass of milk

keep the spirits up girls!

I discovered it pre pegnancy at the local milkshake shop, as the best hangover cure, and have now realised its also perfect for ms.

You make it with cold milk a couple of scoops of vanila icecream and a spoonful of lemon curd then wizz it all together.

God a I so need one now!
but am at work till 8am it will be the first think I make when I get in though

God I'm going to be so fat

NattyTantrumAndEarAche · 27/11/2008 23:14

Dp kissed me after a glass of red last night, I nearly barfed over him so large milkshake more appropriate for the time being anyway

NattyTantrumAndEarAche · 27/11/2008 23:18

i think i could manage it.. sounds expensive in the long run tho.. and more fattening lol..
might stick to my nesquick lol
