Okay GBB I'll keep an eye out, although I'm likely to get a crick my neck doing so. I'm 4'10" with a short dark bob and will be with my 18 month old DS. Just look for the most unfashionable pram & that'll be me. I'm at work so don't have any pics of me to post but I've just posted some of DS (taken a good few months ago but still recognisable).

Effie has some photos on her profile too I think.

poisondwarf · 26/09/2008 16:19

Ooh just remembered I can access my online photo album from work so have put up a couple of photos of me as well.

Can you tell I'm bored at the office today? I haven't done a stroke of work all week ...

hattyyellow · 26/09/2008 16:27

beans have been drinking chocolate milk - feeling strangely virtous, it's full of sugar but hey it's got calcium in!

poisondwarf I have done shamefully little work too. Am supposed to be doing a handover/final load of reports for a client and making a good impression so they hire me again. Instead am surfing the net and walking around bent backwards like a limbo dancer in an attempt to shift the babe!

EffiePerine · 26/09/2008 16:27

PD, your DS is adorable

hattyyellow · 26/09/2008 16:28

Just had a sneaky peak too - what a gorgeous little boy! Hadn't thought of looking on peoples profiles (doh!) that'll happily occupy me for the rest of the working afternoon .

poisondwarf · 26/09/2008 16:29

Aww thanks Effie - I think so too!

hattyyellow · 26/09/2008 16:29

Aw Effie your DS is sooo cute too!

poisondwarf · 26/09/2008 16:33

And thanks hatty.

Just posted one of DP too so you can see where DS gets his looks from...

hattyyellow · 26/09/2008 16:38

Now poison you should put a overactive-pregnant-hormones warning up before posting proud-happy-parents-with-teeny-little-baby photos - that's so lovely am quite tearful.

Am still overcome by rush of emotions from holding the teeny tiny 10 day old son of a friend of a friend yesterday.

I showed him to my DD's and explained our baby would be this small and one of my girls came up and cuddled my bump and grinned at me!

Cue emotional sobbing from me about cute tiny babies and how DDs would be the best big sisters in the world! All the mums there smiled knowingly, all the dads looked slightly embarrassed at this mad pregnant woman holding a baby and sobbing!

SummerLightning · 26/09/2008 16:41

awwwwwww....cute

I am too tired to do any more work, I am gonna go home!

poisondwarf · 26/09/2008 16:48

hatty yes it is a nice photo but what you can't see is that DP and I had spent most of the night and morning in tears and screaming at each other cos I was having trouble breastfeeding and he wanted to put DS on formula. Plus he'd invited my bloody mother to stay over the night before (which was my first night back from the hospital) and she was also joining in the hysterics. So the camera does lie after all!

Having said all that, looking forward to getting my hands on another newborn soon ...

hattyyellow · 26/09/2008 17:13

Sounds very familiar! I remember DH and I having battles the other way round, I wanted to FF and he was desperate for me to carry on exclusively breastfeeding!

And I think we have photos with a similar history but where we look blissfully happy! Must put some up.

I've just realised i thought Enchanted was going to call the baby Edward Cullen just re-read the posts and realised he's an author

hiccymapops · 26/09/2008 21:19

Wish i hadn't posted that last one, i could have kept that to myself Excuse my ignorance

poisondwarf · 26/09/2008 21:33

Veggie the meet-up got canned again. I'm sure you'll have already made plans for tomorrow pm but if not (and for anyone else who's interested) there might be a few of us meeting up at the playground in Clissold Park at 2pm - details on meet-up thread. Effie Umlellala has posted there in case you haven't seen - could you bring your Ergo please (can't remember which slings you said you were bringing now)? Ta.

Olipop · 27/09/2008 07:19

Morning everyone. Ahhh the weekend! I had a lovely day yesterday meeting up with old friends who have conveniently had babies in the last couple of weeks. One was my DSIL who is on her third but with quite a gap. I took her to a mutual friends who plied us with tea and chocolate and we were joined by a few others. She was soooo happy. She confided that last time round she didn't really have anyone and felt a bit isolated. She can't wait to really enjoy this mat leave with people around her! It made me really pleased that I'd be able to enjoy it with her too.

Olipop · 27/09/2008 07:21

Also had a soppy moment with DS...got in the bath with him last night which doesn't happen very often. He was washing the baby (obviously through my tummy!) and giving me lots of cuddles. He then said ' I love my mummy'....I nearly blubbed! And DH heard it from down the hall and thought it was lovely too. Ahhh kids are great (even though I was up at 5 this morning!)

rosmerta · 27/09/2008 10:26

Oli, that is so sweet (both ds & your sil!). The most I get from ds is a perfunctory 'love you' as he's going to bed & he has to be prompted for that!!

I haven't caught up with everyone, sorry to hear the meet up got cancelled again last night, is there another one planned?

My mum & dad are down this weekend, so think we're going to go to a farm today with ds. Will catch up properly later.

Hope everyone's ok

Verso · 27/09/2008 12:59

Sorry I was a bit pants yesterday and cried off the meet-up . Still streaming nose, eye and lots of coughing going on here - I'm sure you would all have relished catching it from me!!!

poison your DS is soooooo cute!

rosmerta I've tentatively suggested we try again for the meet-up this coming week - either Thursday (because I tend to flop by the end of the week - not sure if everyone else is the same or has more stamina than me) or Friday if that suits people better. Am determined to shake off this lurgy before then!!

olipop that is so sweet of your DS! I can also identify with what your DSIL was saying about feeling isolated last time. I'm really hoping I won't have a similar experience this time round.

daisydora · 27/09/2008 13:07

Hello all,

Not posted on here for an age. Hope everyone is doing well, have tried to catch up but just about impossible!!!!

Had MW appointment yesterday and baby is still breech, so my section is looking more and more likely but consultant will decide at beginning on November (for those who can't remeember I have 2 wombs so baby has no room to turn). Its getting more and more uncomfortable as its head appears to be under my ribs. makes sitting down VERY uncomfortable!!

Have also been potty traing DD (now 25 mths), she is doing very well, and making me very proud. Only problem is she wants to change her knickers every hour, whether shes had an accident or not

rosmerta · 28/09/2008 14:47
