Well, I hope a lot more of us can manage to have our babies in THIS thread, even if we will probably talk our way through it well before the end of the month!

Will be thinking of you tonight piggles- especially at 2, 4 and 6am (feed times for the last two nights!). No seriously, really good luck, you will have your baby soon you lucky thing! As scary as it is it's such an exciting process too, I'm even a bit envious!

Well done Hatrick, gorgeous name too. All out July babies have been given lovely names so far!

Libra1975 · 22/07/2008 19:22

Good Luck Pigley!

TJuice · 22/07/2008 19:29

good luck pigley!

thinking of you tonight - so excited!

CilC · 22/07/2008 21:02

Good luck Pigley!
Congrats to all those new Mummies.

isaidno · 22/07/2008 21:20

Good luck Pigley - you will have your ickle baby very soon!

sweetkitty · 22/07/2008 21:44

gilly - congratulations on the birth of Nathaniel can't wait for fully story

libralady - read you story about the cricket and I don't think you are unreasonable at all. What would your DH say if you were out
all Sat and Sun and he had the DSs? It's great he has outside interests but not at the expense of good family time. Sorry if it were me I would be asking him to cut back a bit. Having 2 LOs is v tiring and you need some time for you too.

cityangel - hello and welcome x

pigley - so sorry I missed you to say good luck for tonight will be thinking of you, hope your back here tomorrow with your birth announcement

heffa - glad Meda's doing well, expressing is hard work hope you both crack the BFing soon, keep trying her first at every feed so she doesn't just get used to a bottle

minipink - glad Abbie is doing well too

catec - hope the nipple twiddling works, I always felt really daft doing it

aggie - my P&T finally arrived today without raincover though, dying to get my babies out in it now

mummy2bsoon - everything crossed for you too

radiohelen - you have my sympathy re the hips I'm still a bit sore now

hatrick - already said on the overdue thread but congratulations on the birh of Cassius was so sure it was Nico

Think thats me caught up am typing one handed as have madam asleep on me. She's doing great jaundiced clearing and she's feeding well now nipples are getting less sore. I'm feeling a bit up and down, still a bit bruised and battered down stairstairs, am on iron as my count was 9.6 day after the birth usually is 11 odds. MW said I had quite a big blood loss. But Bethany is doing great and is adorable so thats all that matters.

Will update the list again as well

ButterflyMcQueen · 22/07/2008 21:47

good luck pigley

You will soon be as tired as the rest of us

My baby boy is a little dream and the younger two DOTE on him
a little annoying when traveling - constant echo of 'a baby' and a stinky finger in a newborn chops but at least they love him

as per usual i am becoming rather swamped in a baby blues over loved up emotion.

minkus are you over this - what day did it start?

Its all so wearing - crying about the possibility that one day dp will die

ButterflyMcQueen · 22/07/2008 21:54

sweetkitty we are LOVING the p and T and to say baby 7 days old we have trashed it already!

did you get the cocoon - we find it invaluable a godsend

i find the rainhood the most annoying bit as ds4 is tall and it is big and cumbersome

we had to collapse it today ( it fits in the boot of our car upright ((a joy!!))) to put in a friends car and it really went small

Butterfly - haven't got the cocoon yet but will do, have you got a name for your little boy yet?

ButterflyMcQueen · 22/07/2008 21:58

yes i have but never reveal

its very odd - infact JUST told mil and she went completely silent !!! silly old bint - luckily i am hardened to mothers women with toxic tendancies so rise above it!

sweetkitty · 22/07/2008 22:26

oh you have me intrigued now I WANT to know all your DCs names

ButterflyMcQueen · 22/07/2008 22:58

they become gradually more bizarre!
this one is not well known .. mil hates me anyway and literally fell silent before stammering 'just wondering what it goes with' dp said he said ' hmm that went down well' !

still i should view her obvious disdain as a positive for the future of my baby!

SK i will cat you them when i have the strength!

LilyToTheB · 23/07/2008 00:26

Hi girls!
Wow, another new thread! Took me a while to find it, and no way canI work my way through all the chatter!

I see loads of us have had our babies now!
I've only been off here for about a week or so and seem to have missed loads!

I'm still waiting for mine
Can't wait for it to arrive now, feeling very heavy and swollen and just want to meet the little one. My due date should've been the 19th, not the 15th, so am 3 days overdue!!

How are the rest of you? Still hanging on in there?
Take care xxx

Polyxene · 23/07/2008 00:59

Butterfly, now you have me very intrigued about your DS's name too! We were able to phone our parents from the delivery room, and when I told FIL our name, he said "I don't know any Wilfreds under the age of 75." "Well you do now" I retorted, which DH agrees was fair comment! I must say I'm loving all the names chosen so far by everyone,

CONGRATULATIONS to Gilly and Hatrick!!!

Am thinking good luck wishes towards Pigley, even if it'll all be over by the time you see them!

And WELCOME Cityangel.

OP posts:
CilC · 23/07/2008 05:56

Oh Butterfly now I am also intrigued!!! My MIL was horrified at our DS's name also. She then asked why all of his names were surnames... Her comment also was that since I have such an odd name which is spelt silly then she should have expected me to give my children odd names... The thing is I can't see what is odd about any of our names... Silly goat she is! Thank goodness for all those millions of miles of water between us!

catec · 23/07/2008 08:32

Yes, SK, I must say I felt very daft but perservered for the day to no avail. I really did feel like it was working as she really dropped down (feeling v engaged now) and loads of twinges, plus had a massive clear out and lower back pain, but all I managed to produce was lots of colostrum! Topped it up with relations last night so maybe today...

ButterflyMcQ - I also want to know your DC's names now!

Lily - sorry to hear you are also overdue, after a spate of early babies it seems to be that everyone else is going over - very few babes born on or around their due dates it seems?

Have totally been hit by the nesting bug - cleaned the whole house yesterday even though my cleaner was coming this morning! She is now busy clearing out the wardrobe which is where Daisy will sleep (not as bad as it sounds, it is a walk-in-wardrobe right next to our bed - no room in our actual bedroom).

Come on rest of the babies!!

catec · 23/07/2008 08:35

Oh and congrats Hatrick - how special to have a boy after 3 girls.

min912 · 23/07/2008 08:54

Wow, so many babies on the list - I was wondering actually if anyone did have theirs on their due date?? Even if only 5% do then someone should have!

DH left for work today saying 'today's going to be the day, I have a fatherly instinct'. Reminded him that he said that last time - several times - and was completely wrong each time.

Feel stupid asking this as second time round, but I've been having lots of period-pain-type aches at night - could they be BH?? Only I thought BH were a)higher (and these are definitely below belly button, where uterus used to be!) and b) intermittent (and these are just like a constant dull ache).

Oh well, either way, am trying to be zen-like and reminding myself that every day is a day closer, and really, there never has been a woman who did stay pregnant for ever .

CilC · 23/07/2008 09:04

I know Min912 let's start a scrabble game and that will tip you over! It seems everyone I play with leaves the game hanging as they either go on holidays, have their baby or their computer crashes!

mummy2bsoon · 23/07/2008 09:27

hmm, got terrible lower backache on one side, left side...other than that, normal... oh yeh im extermly hungry!!!

hey hooo!

Squarah · 23/07/2008 09:40

After 2 curries in 24 hours, long walk, jiggy jiggy with DH...I'm pretty sure I had my show this morning. Am excited but not really sure what this means timing-wise. I think it means soon but not necessarily right now so I'm going out for tea and cakes with my other non-popped NCT buddies to distract myself.

Hope it was - I'm due tomorrow - that would be so cool if I was one of the 5%!

Good luck to the others still waiting to pop!

Minkus · 23/07/2008 09:50

Min that's how my labour started this time- mild but constant period pain that gradually got stronger and turned into contractions! I wasn't sure if it was bh's either (and yes I'm a second timer too so you'd think we'd know!) and even started a thread on it- will go locate it and post for you so you can see other's answers. Woke up from nap at about 4pm with these pains, Louis arived that night at 11.29pm so your dh could still be right

Butterfly you can't tantalise us with the lure of an unusual (but no doubt beautiful) name. Well of course you can really but it's not fair . Baby blues all gone now thanks for asking, only lasted a couple of days in the end (when Louis was about 7-10 days old I think). A virtual "there there" and a pat on the arm if you are in the midst of that obsessional love thing for dp and your other children.

Wonder if Pigley is a Mummy Pig by now?

Minkus · 23/07/2008 09:55

here's that thread I was on about Min

Fingers crossed squarah.

disneystar · 23/07/2008 10:00
