Afternoon all.
I hope those waiting for their babys are not getting too impatient and congratulations to
everyone who has had their baby in the last 5 days.
As my DH posted the birth didn't quite go according to plan, having got to 8cm in 10 hours at home I ended up having an emergency CS due to a footling breech presentation which apparently is quite rare. I will post a more complete birth story when I have got my head around it!
Part of me is quite angry at the community midwives as I had caused a fuss about them being sure the baby was head down and was made to feel as if I was just being silly as a first time mum. That's the other thing, it might be my first born but if any other health professional asks me if it's my first if I query something (have had some problems breast feeding and they wanted to give formula) I swear I will slap them.
Right now I have that off my chest!
Alexander is being a darling, after not wanting to feed in the first 24 hours he is now guzzling like a trouper. Dh is completely besotted with him and I practically have to force him to hand him over!
DS - moaning and getting things off ones chest is what this place is for, you can't be strong 100% of the time.
SK - 1hr 35 from waters breaking to baby! Good god, have you phoned Guiness Book of records?
Pigley - I hope something happens for you soon, is there anyway you could ask them to change the time of induction, you shouldn't be allowed to be scared and on your own. However I do second the earplugs comment
Jacobsprincess - I don't think there is anything that unusual in how you feel, I have to say I think the most overwhelming emotion for me in the first few hours was complete shock that I had a baby!
My milk has started to come in and I have comedy breasts at the moment!
