Well, I hope a lot more of us can manage to have our babies in THIS thread, even if we will probably talk our way through it well before the end of the month!

SK I thought I had a quick birth at 3hrs 12minutes, but you've beaten me! Lovely names.

Do you know, I don't think anyone has picked a name where I've thought 'I'd would never have picked that'.

Right I'm off to find the July postnatal thread. Is it alright for me to join even though I had Luke in June? He was due 1st July though, although he (with a bit of assistance from myself and DH) had other ideas .

Don't worry I'll still keep posting here (when I get a chance) I seem to be more of a lurker nowadays as by the time I've caught up with the thread you can bet your bottom dollar Luke has woken up and needs feeding AGAIN!

libralady i know what you mean i pop on here have a look there just isnt enough hours in the day anymore

oh and to be able to sleep again longer than 2hours at a time and thats a luxory i remember saying this time last week i may be tired now but its nothing to what im gonna be feeling next week boy am i right

uh oh samuel is of again hes a very knowing baby in the night his dad picks him up and he does not settle till i cuddle him so i am doing all feeds now 24 hours dh does not wake up anyhow hormones kickin in too bit weepy but trying to be positive as ive had pd in the past

samuel has 2 hernias now and has to be operated on in a few weeks i knew he was going to have probs and i just broke down in hospital sunday night he was 4 days old and they were poking him puttin needles in him i told them to p* off i think they gathered im hormonal and left me for half an hour,doctor rang to day to say sams op wont be long as its urgent well i guess its one of many im sure you guys with babies here would feel the same if your LO,s had to have multiple ops right now you just wanna protect them dont you, i just thought the hospital would have left me alone for a bit longer to enjoy him for a while longer,before it all kicks off

Disney - poor old you and poor wee Samuel. Keep strong - I know it must be so hard. You are a brave strong lady, and you will all get through this. Thinking of you.

As for the rest of us, we mustn't lose heart!

We will all get there in the end. Hard not to be a bit when there are so many coming at the moment. Really very pleased for everyone. nGetting a bit scared here!

Hi ladies, I haven't had time to catch up yet, but looks like there are lots of congratulations due!! And I have another update for the list.
Dewi Henry Theo was born 9.12am on Monday 14th July, 9lb 9oz.
Brief birth story - Awoke with contractions 7mins apart at 2am, had a bath but didn't ease much! Put TENS on & by 4.30am had babysitter (my wonderful mum!) here for DS1 and contrations were 3mins. Went to hospital and at 5.30 was 5cm dilated. Had a wander around the lake 6am, then came in for some gas & air! By 8.15 evil midwives took gas & air away from me because I "wasn't concentrating"!! An hour later this huge boy popped out of my fanjo!
Can't really believe it. Real shock after nightmare birth with DS1 (induction, 39 hour labour, every drug under the sun, 2 epidurals, forceps). I mean, this time it really bloody hurt, and I got quite angry with myself that it was too quick to ask for stronger meds, but I feel like superwoman at the moment! I gave birth to a massive hulk of a boy with only a TENS machine and a student midwife! Thankfully I was given the G&A back for the stitching (2nd degree tear of previous episiotomy) and got delightfully off my face
He's an amazingly peaceful baby, feeds so well and sleeps loads too. DH & DS1 totally adore him. Wil post pics soon.

Just realised this post isn't quite as brief as I intended - so much going on in my head!!

Congrats everyone who has hed their babies over the last couple of days!!!!!! I can't remember them all, although I do agree with whoever said that all the names are so lovely I haven't heard one that I don't like yet!

Congratulations all the new babies and their mummies! Every time I log on we've got a new one.

Sooo, my contractions disappeared today. Went to consultant appt, was 1 cm dilated - better than nowt I suppose. Had a sweep, booked in for induction Thurs. No signs of sweep having done anything. Looking forward most awfully to them trying to break my waters through a 1cm gap on Thurs. AND it's likely to scupper my labour-in-water plans. God I'm a misery - sorry.

Wow, I can't believe all the new babies! Is it a full moon at the moment?! Congrats to all the new mums. I agree, such lovely names. The boys are still definitely outnumbering the girls.
JacobsPrincess I cant believe you popped out a 9lb9oz baby with only G&A and Tens - nice work.
Nothing happening here, I will be one of the last no doubt, although my due date from my LMP date is on Friday so you never know. She is hanging on until after Friday night though good girl so that I can go to a Jill Scott concert I have been looking forward to forever. Keeping busy making baby slings at the moment.
I hope that all those who are overdue kick off on their own v soon.

Well done all those who have managed to give birth since I last posted. Sweetkitty, I hope you are not too traumatised by your quick labour - I know it took me a while to get over having a 2 hour labour with dd2, it was just so intense.

Still no signs here, despite 2nd stretch and sweep today. Am booked for induction on Sunday now (term +15).

Evening all quick update from me, first the birth story: went to bed as usual last night, had a few BHs in bed but then again thought nothing of it, went to sleep to be woken up by huge gush of water at 2.50am, told DP who bounced out of bed, we got the room ready and came downstairs, few really sore contractions later he phoned MWs and our childcare, favourite MW arrived 20 mins later, ran upstairs inbetween contractions and had a scary moment when they thought the gas and air tubing was broken. They got it sorted and started on the gas and air which was lovely for a bit, spent an eternity screaming and biting gas and air sorry had forgotten how bloody sore it was. Told MWs something had changed and they had a look and said the head was coming down, next thing pain stopped room spun around and I knew I was in transition. Felt the urge to push and her head was out before MWs could do anything, body followed shortly after, total time from waters breaking to baby out 1h 35m. Had lovely cuddle for a bit then had some gas and air to push placenta out. Then came the afterpains OMG how sore were they? Any multips get painkillers asap. DD1 came in and met her sister about 5, DD2 slept through everything until 8am. Both utterly delighted especially as she brought them presents. Second degree tear but didn't need stitches.

Mucas plug has gone!! YIPEEEE BH are still going strong.. Got induction date for Friday and would be great if i held till then as i will have the girls and DP looked after.. May not need induction after all..

Hello, I haven't been on in the last week, finding things a bit difficult to juggle with toddler and baby, but I just wanted to say congrats to all the new mums and babies, there are so many of them to name,but I have had chance to look at a few lovely pics....arn't babies just adorable
