Oh well done Libra1975! What a star to get to 8cm with tea and paracetamol! I have heard so many undiagnosed breech stories, did you have any suspicion at all that he was breech? Congratulations to you and DH on the arrival of Alexander Philip. Hope the emergency CS wasnt't too awful and you are recovering well.

Congratulations to all the other new mummies, some lovely photos making me feel very jealous. Now 9 days overdue, have been whinging on the overdue thread, can't wait to get onto the new postnatal one. No sign of anything since a show on Friday, going to discuss induction tomorrow with consultant, but planning to hold out until Saturday when I will be 42 weeks, then they may not want to do it at the weekend so it could be another week if I'm v unlucky.

Good luck choccie, I know just how you feel - as induction is a planned event, why make it difficult by starting it at an inconvenient time?

Am getting lots of 'pressure' below since my bath earlier so I'm hoping this LO is getting into position. I slipped getting out of the bath - not badly - I wasn't even standing - I was trying to stand and dropped onto my bum from about 20cm, but maybe it's been enough to knock him into place? Hope so[crossing everything apart from legs]

Off to see consultant for sweep tomorrow. If cervix still closed, options for induction to be discussed . Although I had got the obs to agree to labouring in water and birthing on dry land, I'm not sure if that will hold true if I have to be induced. Also, as I have a previous section, will probably not get prostaglandins but they'll go straight for the drip - v v . Could this baby please get a move on??

2 hours of contractions here between 3 and 5am, fell back asleep, Been awake since 7am, had about 2 contractions since then - might this mean no need for induction???

I'll put some pics of our boy Aidan. I had a long arduous labour (42 hours) a bit like some others tried at home, went to hospital..laboured in pool..back to ward for sleep..after 32 hours of early labour went to 6cm and was given lovely gas an air and a nice warm pool to labour in. 4 more hours..no progress.ugh..switched plans and got an epidural and some other happy juice and the boy started his journey into the world. I'm still fuzzy on the details but he is a whopper at 9lbs 11oz. Absolutely gorgeous! I cannot stop beaming..well except to cry and moan at my stitches and monsterous breast size. We were kept in hospital for a week with baby in special care because he had spit up a bit of bilious mucous..but he's good now and we're together at home with daddy. It was a scary, wild ride..but so much better with the wee one in my arms. Oh and the rash started going away right after he was born!!

hugs to all in the waiting room!! Especially Pigley my due date mate. Hang in there chica!

Oh Mcchesers what a ride, so glad the rash cleared up, sounds like itching was the last thing you needed! Well done and congratulations, enjoy your time at home with hubby and baba.
