That's interesting that people are having problems sleeping - I don't remember struggling to sleep until late on last time around but this time I think the babe is quite active at night and wakes me up - probably because it's the only time I'm lying still and resting!
One of my DD's has a tummy bug and woke us up 3 times in the night with projectile vomiting all over her and bedding, poor little scrap. Amazingly her sister slept peacefully through all the cleaning, lights on, sheet changing, sobbing. Am sooooo tired today!
My DD's have been waking up a lot recently and DH manages to sleep peacefully through it all - at least it's good practice for being permanently tired when the baby is born!
But have just booked my mum and brothers into a cottage near us for Christmas week - hurray! We have ended up paying a good chunk of it as my mum was trying to persaude me for all 3 of them to stay with us!
DH went mad and I put my foot down - we've got a 3 bed place with 2 kids already and I really don't want people sleeping in my sitting room and expecting food and drink the week I'm due/potenttially have a new baby in the house!
My mum will stay with us from a week before my due date and will stay on if I haven't had the baby. It's such a massive relief knowing that the girls will have emergency childcare down the road if I do go into labour Christmas week - it would have been very awkward to try and ask a friend to cover when we haven't really lived here this long and everyone is away for Christmas/at Christmas parties.
Sorry for me, me, me! I've just been fretting so much as my mum is 4 hour drive away, DH's parents are too frail to watch the girls and I was panicking about not having anyone on standby and having to go to the hospital by myself!
