Hi All,

SWEETKITTY - the Hotmilk bras are great:

This one is best for stretchiness

www.happytinybabies.com/index.cfm/premature/Products.Details/product_id/362/subject/hotmilk_baby_dol ldeliciousmaternity_bra

this one is a good fit just now and a bit more supportive but not quite as comfy

www.happytinybabies.com/index.cfm/premature/Products.Details/product_id/368/subject/hotmilk_whisper_ sweetwickednessbra

They have loads of eyelets on the back - about 8 I think so will do when you lose bulk around the ribs too. I have gone form 34B to 38DD but the pink 1 will fit even when milk comes in - I would recommend it. remember they are nursing bras too.

I think you mentioned the 3 towns when Expatinscotland had the blighted ovum and was upset about her treatment at Inverclyde.
I had the misfortune to move there (by choice) when I was 14 and went to Ardrossan Academy - hated it. Met my DH (he was the barman in Gardners - now Sawney Beans) or I would have left years before I did! Bloody hate the place - so depressing! I used to frequent Hot Gossip in Glasgow Street and the Kilmenny (Rioz) and the Blair Lodge when I was a teenager. Sorry if I am speaking out of turn but I find the whole area demoralizing and cliquey. We probably know the same people

PIGLEY - how is your sis today?

MY Dh does his best - he gets tired a lot and can't do what he used to be able to 'cos of his accident injuries but he tries his best and looks after me well. I have over done it again this week and am now suffering! Bump is really sore and loads of BH. Gardening this morning and Dh looked out the baby stuff form the loft. I have a gargantuan pile of unisex stuff to wash now!! Was quite looking at all my beautiful little DDs teeny weeny clothes form when she was newbie. They told me I was having a big baby but she was only 7lb then lost loads as I had probs bf - had to go buy her teeny stuff for a couple of weeks - so cute and tiny to look at now. Now she is a MONSTER

Must go - hope you are all wellxxxx

pigleychez · 17/05/2008 16:23

Rumpel-

Havent heard anything and shes said she'd let me know if there were any developments. So im guessing everythings fine and shes hanging on in there.
Im pretty sure my mum would be on the phone ASAP if anything was happening!!

Im liking the look of theses Hotmilk bras and think i might have to invest it a couple. Be nice to wear something pretty after these horrible boring mothercare maternity ones!

Heffa · 17/05/2008 16:42

The Hotmilk bras look fab - how do you know what size you are? I used to be a 32GG and have kept using the same bras (and some 34Hs) because I couldn't find maternity ones in a good size apart from non-underwired ones which gave me no support at all. I've got no idea what size I am now.

EEC · 17/05/2008 16:47

Hi all.

Sounds like DH's are all the same! Mine is constantly saying that I need to rest and take it easy, but doesn't really facilitate this in any way eg he's just phoned me from tile shop to ask me to go and measure the hall, having only left me 10 mins before making me promise to have a lie down! Just a small thing I know but they all add up!

Pigley - is your DH real?

Rumple I too have been overdoing it - can't stop myself, and have very painful bump and BH. could hardly walk yesterday. Am going to relax now by looking at hotmilk bras on internet They look great. Should keep nDH happy as well .

bebejones · 17/05/2008 17:10

Just been trying to catch up.....good grief you lot can talk!!!!

When should I pack my hospital bag. Everyone seems so prepared, I'm not due til July 31st, so am only 29+2.....is that too soon? Just seems really scary thinking of doing it now! Want to buy a snazzy stylish bag for hospital but DH might kill me for spending the money! Might have a mooch on Ebay!

Thought my waters had leaked on Tuesday....turns out I had just wet myself when I sneezed, DH is still ripping the p**s out of me! Also had the sleepless night waking up at 3am thing this week. Woke up and just had work stuff going over and over in my head. Plus when I got up and woke DH I realised my boobs had leaked (for the first time) and my tshirt was stuck to me and soaked! Didn't know they would leak THAT much....plus is it supposed to be sore? Had to make a mercy dash to Boots the following morning for Breast Pads...wet T shirt is not a good look when you work in a customer facing office!!!

pigleychez · 17/05/2008 17:32

EEC- He sure is

He cooks dinner most nights and then washes up!

Hes been like that since ive known him so its not just because im pregnant now.
Hes such a sweety and really looks after me, im sooo lucky!

I know hes going to be great when baby comes, be a great daddy and help out loads.

His only vices are playing poker online but hes pretty good actually and wins tournaments. The other night he won £900! Which he puts into the baby fund so that we can be finicially secure and i can be a stay at home mummy. Hes very sensible

Bless him!

isaidno · 17/05/2008 17:52

pigley - that's lovely. may you never turn into a bitter, old, whinging wife!!

Peanut73 · 17/05/2008 17:58

PIGLEYCHEZ You just made that up!

TJuice · 17/05/2008 18:04

i have almost the opposite issue with my dp these days. since january i have been on the case trying to line the coffers with extra freelance writing money and the idea was that he could do some translation and/or some kind of weekend medical work (shift in the hospital etc). But he hasn't done any just loves to chill when he gets in and we both like to spend money and go out to eat, go the cinema etc etc. but then i get all panicky and he just doesn't want to deal with it at all . . .and we both hate housework and grocery shopping.

we are both lazy decadent leos but only i wake up at 4.00am and worry . . .

but our new hired handyman repainted the nursery and put up a shelves and a giant poster in the living room so things are moving forward on the nesting front.

pigley - sounds like you did really well with your dp! and good luck on behalf of your sister - very exciting and must make you eager too.

my hospital bag is a giant Orla Kiely weekender like the blue one in the front of this pic but with a different print.
its already stuffed! they are going to laugh so much when i arrive at the hospital. and we don't have a car (but live about 10 mins walk from the hospital) so I can't even store some of it in the car and creep it in later.

bebe - I had the same thing last week! i actually got checked at the midwife just to make sure. but i guess i must have slightly wet myself!!!

those hotmilk bras are lovely. i am so sick of pregnancy stuff but i think those may be worth it if you are going to breastfeed for a while . . . i am still happy with my slutty h&m ones though . . . my boobs haven't grown that much but i guess they are going to get so much bigger.

i managed to gussy up and even wear heels for a few hours last night for my friend's birthday. but after my half a glass of rose, i biked home to cosy up in front of the telly with tea and biscuits - party animal!! tonight we are going up to the neighbourds for a curry which i am looking forward to.

minipinkscottish · 17/05/2008 18:50

Following my last post about dh I have areal moan at him and then went out with kids.

He text me to say I was hormonal but he loved me and would I like to have Indian for tea. Oh but I had to go for it and take kids with me and dd was desperate for the loo and ds was crying because he was tired. However, I got take out and it was yummy. Then I did the dishes and dh went to garage but he says he is going to spend the evening with me watching tv

PIGLEY - no way????

mcchesers · 17/05/2008 19:57

Evening ladies. I have to say my DH is a lot like pigely's actually. He's been sorting out his office and doing laundry and dinner and washing up all day. If I drop something, he's over in a flash to pick it up. We're both really excited about the baby. He came over and gave my bump a squeeze and he said "oh I just can't wait to hug him"

Taff that's mad that you were in Tyyyler, Texas" what on earth brought you there? Also, am wishing you had never mentioned BBQ.

It looks like we might be moving back to the states rather soon after baby gets here. DH has an opportunity to transfer, which means that I could be close to my mom and family. All we have to do now is sell the flat! Hooray! Oh and have a baby of course. I packed my hospital bag just there..and have just about everything. Down the our last few pounds this month so going to have to wait until DH gets paid. ugh I hate not working!!

Minnie- hugs to you!

Heffa · 17/05/2008 22:44

I confess my DH is lovely too He's been doing most of the housework ever since I got pregnant and is very protective of me (I'm not allowed to do most of the chores). He's also been putting up with any hormonal tantrums without flinching. His mates have all been fantastic as well, and keep sending me messages telling me how excited they are. They all seem disturbingly well informed about pregnancy, and kept telling me to sit down etc when they were round here. We're the first of all our friends to have kids (by quite a long way tbh) so it's quite unsettling. But very sweet!

CilC · 17/05/2008 23:05

My DH is almost too good at times...he also puts up with my hormonal tantrums, SPD tears and whinging and whinning and then goes off and books a spa day for me or gets me flowers...only problem then is I feel as guilty as sin and find it hard to enjoy them...

JODIEhavingababy · 17/05/2008 23:43

Hi guys,

Am shattered, had a great day at The baby show, got a few things that I needed, and a few things that I didn't But all in all it was a good day out... (No Hotmilk Bras for me though).. The best thing I did though was...... Have a 4d scan!! They were doing it live and had a spare appt, so I bit the bullet and am so glad I did, it was amazing!!!!!! I will get some pictures up soon.. He looks very much like DS did when he was Newborn, and he's definatly a boy! To justify spending the money though I did say that he hasn't had anything new yet, and with DS I kept a pregnancy journal, religiously! and took heaps of videofootage of me pregnant etc, I feel lke I've neglected this one abit!

Also I must say that my DH is fab too... He does go to the pub most nights, but usually for 'early doors' he is ALWAYS home to say goodnight to DS, and while I do bath and bed he cooks tea, then we can sit down together! Also he had DS all day today while I was out, and cleaned the house, and didn't complain!! (he did treat himself to Grand Theft Auto for his 360 though!)

Poledra · 18/05/2008 00:08

DH was delightful when I was pg with dd1. Now, I wonder if he even notices. He's going away to a conference on Monday (not coming back till Thurs) and I am seriously suggesting he just goes tomorrow, as my life is easier without him here sometimes. He's supposed to be clearing out his study in order that we can use it as a bedroom for the LO, so this evening, after I cooked the dinner (while he 'looked after' the dds - or rather, let them watch TV while he pissed about on his laptop), he went off up stairs to keep going with clearing it out. I asked if he was going to clean the kitchen first, he said, no I can't do both and disappeared. so, I cleaned the kitchen while I cried my eyes out. Just as well the dds were in bed. I am so tired all the time. He thinks I got a break today because I went to get my hair done - erm, yes, but I also got up 2.5 hours before him this morning with the children. I guess that doesn't count!
Sorry to rant but he is just getting me down. I promise to try and be more positive tomorrow after some sleep!

disneystar · 18/05/2008 07:24

poledra i went to the day assesment on tuedsay admittidly i felt ill and hadnt felt baby move and now on meds for kidney infection
but i had a chat with mw there and even she said im so exhausted now i feel so washed out
crying is so normal now to me then i have a think an say to myself
not long now weve nearly done it

purplejennyrose · 18/05/2008 08:02

Poledra I feel like you do at the moment. Was up half the night trying to talk to my dh about similar issues but it feels like we just cannot reach any kind of compromise. I feel on the edge of a nervous breakdown actually. And it makes me feel there is no hope for us as a couple or family.
Sorry bit dramatic I know, all has come to a head and don't know where to go with it. Sorry to vent.

EEC · 18/05/2008 08:32

Disney and purplejennyrose. My heart goes out to you. Life really is hard sometimes.

Sounds some of you have struck gold with your DHs. Enjoy them, and stop feeling guilty!

Another terrible night here - reading at 4 am as too much going on in my head - exhausted now, but determined to be positive (how long will that last?!)

isaidno · 18/05/2008 08:39

My DH isn't bad really - I know he works hard and this means I can stay at home. Couple life really changes when you have children and sometimes it feels like all the change happens on my side! Every time a new little baby comes along there is a shift in focus. I know DH always feels left out and lonely in the first few weeks - I go to bed at 9pm so I can cope with the waking up, and I'm generally knackered and not much fun!

CilC · 18/05/2008 09:26

Sorry to hear how you are both feeling at the moment... I hope today is better. Hang in there I am sure things will get better and things will get clearer. Take care.

EEC I was up at 4.30 this morning and the only way to shut my brain off was to read. A friend recommended this book to me and I started it...my goodness it was racy, so racy that I have only just stopped reading... thought it time to get DH and DD up and organise some breakfast! I am sure I will be shattered today also, but it was so good to get distracted from baby, pregnancy and pains for a while!

CilC · 18/05/2008 09:28

** Sorry the first sentence was for purplejenny and disney....see I really am so tired I expect everyone to read my mind!!!

EEC · 18/05/2008 09:47

CilC - What was the book? Could do with distraction.

isaidno · 18/05/2008 14:20

Where is everyone today??

Heffa · 18/05/2008 15:25

I've just got back from a lovely lunch out. The waitress asked me if I wanted mayonnaise on my burger which I thought was a little weird until I realised that it was because I was pregnant. First time a stranger has actually commented on my pregnancy so I feel strangely pleased! I was wondering if the bump was just invisible.

How is everyone? I've nearly finished packing my bag, just waiting for a delivery of huge baggy pyjamas from M&S.

Mummywannabe · 18/05/2008 15:26

HI all.

Not been on for ages again, combination of being knackered, dad being ill, work and trying to study!

Nursery nearly finished, haven't even started on hospital bag! 5 more days of work yipee!! Will do my bag then. Also haven't done birth plan yet, thinking about doing it in a bit.

Re: annoying DP/DH's. Bless mine he tries his best but it annoys me so much that he cannot understand how it feel to be heavily pregnant! Not his thought at all but it winds me up!
