Just starting the thread as suggested earlier (a lot earlier.... completely forgot!)

We need to put names down as to who can make the meet up on the 22nd Jan so we can book a table. (Obviously, I am hoping to be there!)

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Sorry Tea, that wasn't a very clear answer to your question!

This is what I think we should do; Stick with the Rainforest Cafe unless anybody knows another child-friendly place in a similar area.

teabelly · 14/01/2005 11:40

Ok girls here it is...

I've spoken to the Rainforest cafe again and they will only book for 11.30 or 2.30 and we would have to have their party menu (£13.50 per child and adults on top!!)

Sooo.....I have taken the liberty of booking TGI Fridays, which have a fab under 5's menu (at less than £5) and are good for kids and adults alike (american style food in large portions so hopefully something for everyone). It is the TGI's that is opposite the Trocadero on the road between Piccadilly Circ and Leicester Sq. (just past the Haymarket), so basically in the same area. I have reserved the table for 12.30 in the name of Hoskins, and they are fine about the fact that a couple of our party will arrive about 1(ish).

Email me for my number if you haven't already, or if you'd prefer the restaurant's number is 020 7839 6262.

Hope this is ok whith everyone - I can always cancel if necessary but just wanted to get some sort of booking in there.

LipstickMum · 14/01/2005 12:12

Excellent. Well done Teabelly for sorting it all out and taking the initiative. I know where TGI's is. I'll email u for your mobile (and give u mine) just in case. It's definitely much better to have a table booked and no problems with people being late etc.
Can't wait!

Scraggyaggy · 14/01/2005 21:17

Thank you Teabelly! Can't wait to see you all! x

Anyone else excited but nervous???

teabelly · 17/01/2005 09:51

Yes definitely - this is the first web site i've 'chatted' on and so have definitely never met up with people like this - but I'm very excited, and nervous, and then though I would cancel, and then decided to go along....just like everyone else I'm sure!

welshmum · 17/01/2005 10:50

I'm a bit nervous - from the other thread it sounds like it's the boobs that'll give us away not the bumps!

LipstickMum · 17/01/2005 12:15

I'm nervouse, but will probably be so starving that I wont care!! Am already dreaming about a huge burger with relish and gerkins and all sorts of other condiments, how sad is that!?

LipstickMum · 17/01/2005 12:15

My bump definitely sticks out more than my boobs

LipstickMum · 17/01/2005 13:07

Teabelly I sent you a CAT (???) I think that's what it's called, a message through MN anyway. Just a test really to see if it sent, if it worked I was going to ask for your mobile number.

What time is the table booked for? We still going for 12:30?

LipstickMum · 17/01/2005 13:10

Ok, it's booked for 12:30. Read Lippy, read!!!

teabelly · 17/01/2005 13:18

Lippy I got your CAT so you must have done it right...and I've replied - if you don't get my email let me know and I'll try it again.

Yeah it's booked for 12.30 for the kiddies, but I doubt we'd have got our food before Pink and Scraggy arrive...and you're not sad - I've looked at the menu on line and am already planning my meal too!!And so long as it involves chips somewhere in the line up I'm a happy bunny

LipstickMum · 17/01/2005 18:49

The menu is online #eyes light up# !! brb

LipstickMum · 17/01/2005 18:53

Oh God.

LipstickMum · 17/01/2005 18:54

I definitely want buffalo wongs, will probably have to share with someone. And it has to be a burger with all the trimmings shame it's only lunchtime, I might not be able to manage the starter as well

LipstickMum · 17/01/2005 18:56

...wings, obviously

Scraggyaggy · 18/01/2005 07:31

I'll share a starter! That way there will be something on the table to eat by the time we arrive! Mmmm

OP posts:
teabelly · 18/01/2005 08:46

Scraggy that's a good idea - maybe we should order a selection of starters for everyone to share...what station do you come in to, Paddington?? If so taxi would probably be your best bet to get to us...there'd be lot of faffing about with tube changes...and you want to get there fast otherwise Lippy and I might have eaten everything!

LipstickMum · 18/01/2005 09:08

Lol, very true Tea! My coach gets in to Marble Arch, so I am going to have a wizz around Hennes (before you lot buy everything ) and then will probably walk or get a bus down. #Thinks# Definitely bus, it will help me avoid all the temptation of the shops along Oxford and Regent Sts!!

teabelly · 18/01/2005 09:51

Ooh yeah the shopping how could I forget about that!! Dilemma tho...ds is 2 1/2 do I bring the buggy or not?? Wasn't going to, was just going to train/taxi it...but then again shopping in Oxford Street!!! Maybe I'd better bring the small one...

Just read the June thread - clothes to wear hadn't even thought of that one ...hmmm maybe my underbump jeans that keep falling down or a skirt that will make me look huge , oh decisions decisions...

Uwila · 18/01/2005 10:19

I've just caught up with this. okay, TGI Friday at 12:30. Definitely looking forward to meeting everyone.

I will definitely be bringing a small pushchair for dd. Wouldn't dream of going into London without it.

What to wear? Oh blimey can't say I care much what I look like these days. One of my fat couw outfits, I guess. moooooo...

LipstickMum · 18/01/2005 12:24

I can't stop thinking about the buffalo wings!

charleypops · 18/01/2005 12:35

Teabelly, sorry I couldn't reply to your question about Nando's on Friday - Dp broke my computer on Friday and I've only just managed to fix it!! (quite pleased with myself actually)

Well done though on sorting out TGI's.

I'm wanting to come. Scared though.

LipstickMum · 18/01/2005 12:36

I am hugely respectful to those of you bringing you toddlers!!

Uwila · 18/01/2005 12:42

Charleypops, why are you scared?
