e14mum · 14/03/2008 20:17

Hello! Back from sweep today and all was favourable. She said cervix was only slightly posterior and about 1cm thick, and she could get 2 fingers in it. I'd have to say the experience wasn't too bad, although the fact that I'm going in again tomorrow for another one is not an indication of enjoyability!! I just want this baby to come!

turtle23 · 14/03/2008 20:22

spugs..thanks, yes it feels like I am going to be pregnant for the next two years. How can one person have so many BH every night?

MissingMyHeels · 14/03/2008 20:36

Well after three doses of prostin I am 1cm dilated and have self discharged so I can get a decent nights sleep. Not a contraction in sight!

Congrats Jay! Another big 'un - must be the extra couple of weeks they seem to be cooking for on this thread!

merryberry · 14/03/2008 20:53

Good on you mmh. And mother of billy the kid they mean. Our turtle is back in water...good job!

derah · 14/03/2008 20:58

Aargh, way too much to catch up on!!

Congratulations to Merryberry!! About time too! I'm so glad you got the birth you wanted after all your trouble. And OUCH!! How did you manage to cook such a big 'un?!

M27, Ibblewob and Jaysthird, congratulations to you all and welcome to the new arrivals!!

Little Allie is doing really well, although it seems she's constantly feeding, and sleeps much more during the day than she does at night (sigh!). She's starting to spend more time awake though, and looking around at things rather than just eating, sleeping and pooping!

MMH - well done you on taking yourself home. Sorry the induction isn't working though. Perhaps LO just isn't ready yet. I wouldn't let them keep pushing the induction if it really isn't working. Maybe leave it for the weekend and try again next week?

Turtle - I really hope you get the gas sorted out in time. After having such a lovely home water birth, I really want the same for you, and for Fn41 and anyone else who's planning one!!

Right, pizza is ready and I'm starving (very pleased to hear about the 3000 cals!!) so that's it for now.....

CricketsMum · 14/03/2008 21:45

Turtle - can't believe your bad luck! Fingers crossed it all works out again...
Not in delivery ward (keep telling you she is staying put for now!)... have been frantically painting all day, the nursery WILL be finished soon!! Saw MW today too and BP down a bit which is good.

MMH - well done on self-discharge... do what feels right for you!

Good evening all, I am still with you 38 weeks today and they are planning to let me go full term. I went for a appointment on Wendesday and my iron from a previous blood test was 8.8 which they said is very low, they started to talk to me about having an iron infusion or if my iron did not improve i may have to have a blood transfusion when i give birth, scared me to death. They said i could not have iron tablets as they would not work in timeso they wanted me to have another blood test and would call me later on in the day to let me know if i had to go back in.

Then of course when she went to do my blood pressure it was sky high, i had to have my blood pressure checked several times and another water sample as they said i may have a water infection due to something found in my water.

They called me later on that day to say my iron was up to 9.3 and that iron tables would do for me. I was very relieved

They informed me next week at my appointment they will do an internal and see how things are maybe do a sweep and stretch.

I am still hanging on to hope they will arrive on their own very soon. At my scan they were both head down.

Glad you are all ok.

tori32 · 14/03/2008 23:47

update on MOBTK Thomas arrived at 0350pm EMCS. 7lb 103/4oz. Both doing well but tired.

turtle glad things are getting sorted.
modsaluk Please try not to worry about a transfusion if you need it. It goes through a small cannula in the back of your hand like a drip and they can put emla cream on if you are phobic of needles to numb it before putting cannula in.

timmyinatizzy · 15/03/2008 02:29

. This contraction malarky hurts. Well I think its contractions. Lets hope so

CricketsMum · 15/03/2008 06:52

Timmy - How exciting! Fingers crossed for you!

turtle23 · 15/03/2008 10:46

Timmy-hurrah! Hope this is it for you!
Cricket-I am beginning to wonder if I am under some kind of curse, yes.

HolidaysQueen · 15/03/2008 11:11

Congratulations MOBTK! Good luck Timmy!

I've had a lot of BH in the past 48 hours - regular and uncomfortable but not painful. I'm glad they've started again though - after my show last week I thought things were moving but the BH stopped last weekend which was exasperating. At least I now feel that things are slowly moving in the right direction again. I won't be saying that once they start to properly hurt though...

As of this morning my tummy is officially stretched to its limits. It is so taut that you could use my belly as a trampoline!

timmyinatizzy · 15/03/2008 13:20

So this is timmy's DH, and very glad to report that Luke Ethan Andrew arrived safe and sound at 0600 this morning, after contractions started around 0140...

Mother and baby doing well

timmyinatizzy · 15/03/2008 13:21

oh and weighed 6lb 14oz...

littleducks · 15/03/2008 13:23

tori32 · 15/03/2008 13:45

Congratulations timmy!

turtle23 · 15/03/2008 13:48

Congrats Timmy!! Let's hope we're on a roll with those boys now!! (Do you hear that, baby? Time to arrive!!)

Quick update....!

Edmund Montgomery (Ted!) arrived on same day as Merry Bery's George, just a little nearer breakfast.

8 11oz, gas and air, very quick and all well.

Come over from the dark side everyone,...the nappies are teeny.

Love Jayne & Tiny Ted!!

tori32 · 15/03/2008 14:01

Congratulations jaynef and welcome to tiny Ted!

monthlymayhem · 15/03/2008 14:56

Congrats Jayne and Timmy!

Had a lot of BHs last night, along with some deep tummy pains but think they were actually more wind related than anything else

CricketsMum · 15/03/2008 15:16

Congratulations Timmy and Jayne! Looks like it's all go for March mums now!

3madboys · 15/03/2008 15:44
